It doesn't just send you forward, you can also combine it with directional inputs to do directional superglides or tap strafing to have a similar effect

i stopped playing apex and i just cam back to it and i haven’t gotten a single glide the entire season, ive tried everything except the button thing you can press with one finger, i thought that was the dumbest thing ever but i tried it and i got 3 in a row
This might seem weird at 1st but hear me out. I got my crouch on R3, tactic on L3, interact in L1 and Jump on R1. I know it's weird but trust me I've never super jumped AND super glided so consistently

You also have to press the jump button 1 frame before crouch. It's harder on higher fps
ye this is the most accurate way without configs that put you on 30 fps :D
when i do it i jump and slide and slide pretty far but it doesnt seem fast.. I dont know if im going to early or to late
