Googled "how to super glide on controller" and google didn't suggest a District vid, so straight to the channel I went. No one explains it as precise as you. Keep up the 🔥content
aaaand I've got it down in a minute just using auto-sprint, and pushing both of my Dualsense Edge bumpers simultaneously at the right timing. You're the best bro
One issue is that it feels a bit different between first person and third person. Seeing the legs in third person helps you learn it, but you have to adjust a bit when you switch back to first person to "feel" the climbing animation more. Practicing basic edge boosts will help get the timing down, imo. Same principle just leave out the jumps, you get a feel for the timing by the speed boost from the slide just after the climb peaks and freezes.
Once you practice it enough, it gets a lot easier to remember the timing. Practice it in the firing range first and then in-game. Superglide off anything you can while looting/rotating and it becomes more consistent. Not sure what button layout you're running but I have my jump on L3 and crouch on R3 so it's not too hard for me to get it pretty consistently now.
NOTE: This might be unique to DualSense Edge, but there is definitely some input cancellation going on with the back paddles (if you have the set to jump and crouch). I could not hit super glides with the paddles, but hitting crouch on the left paddle and jump on O button/right thumb, I'm hitting them 80% of the time. Hoping this saves hours of firing range time for some! Staggering Jump & Crouch presses by a fraction of a second also helped tremendously!
quite possible, I have a custom controller with paddles, and I hit a super glide like 1/10 tries, if I have the paddles set to crouch and jump, but if is have one paddle set to jump and my left stick to crouch I hit it like 8/10 times.
NOTE 2: Changing your controller to be read by your PS5 as "wired" and not via bluetooth reduces the input delay significantly. This makes matching the visual-to-reaction-time sync, and made my aim a bit smoother as well. Accessories > Communication Method > Use USB Cable. If you don't have this option checked, it will always be communicating via bluetooth even when you have it plugged it.
@@shawheennabizadeh380 thanks, I usually always play with my edge plugged in bcuz it dies insanely fast, but had no idea that even when plugged in it would read as Bluetooth. Also I seemed to be able to hit at least 1 every ten tries with the back buttons, I'll try your tips and next time I'm on i will update you with the results
@shawheennabizadeh380 You know what, I noticed the same thing (but with xbox controller) I couldn't even so a super jump with the paddles, or at least not consistently, but once I used the buttons it is super easy. imma try it for superglide thanks
Excellent tutorial district you helped me do it first, I would recommend using the sides of the firing range weapons stands as a hieght gauge with wraith for super glides just noticed myself and found consistency increased from 1 in 15 to 1 in 3 thank you district legend!!
One thing that helped me was setting the firing range to 3rd person view. This allowed me to better see the frame to start pressing the buttons. Then I was also able to have a better feel of when to press the buttons
Thank you so much for the tips brother, ive been trying to hone my movement tech a lot recently and with the tips you gave i managed to pull off my first ever superglide!(it was in the firing range but i was still hyped nonetheless)
i kinda just opt into what i call super sliding, and just sliding instead of hitting crouch and jump. it doesn’t give the same distance but it gives the speed off the mantle that throws off the enemies and is considerably easier to pull off bc i think the frames allowed to perform it are greater than a super glide. however if you can super slide, the timing is basically the same and you should be able to eventually super glide with practice
My best tip people is to make sure you are completley letting go of the movement stick then push forward jump crouch right as your feet hit even a faction second later . it actually has a decent time . Start by loot then Try the tiny ledge one the 1v1 arena to understand the timing a bit more and then the grate box by tower don’t spam it takes time .
This video is the most helpful video for super gliding I've ever watched I started practicing yesterday and I managed to figure out how to do it but I wasn't getting it to much thanks for saying how to get the timing
pretty much the only controller video i saw that didnt say to turn crouch from toggle to hold. i was trying with it on hold and it just wasnt working, plus i knew itd take some getting used to on hold for the 99% of the time i wasnt supergliding. turned hold off and hit 3 in a row immediately. now i just have to get used to jump as RB… or get a custom controller
Well I did it. Rn its 4:05 I started learning how to super glide at like 1:30 it took me a while to get it down even tho its mad late ima still try learn how to super jump on ziplines
I actually just got this down pretty consistent in Firing Range without using crouch. As long as the object is tall enough to start the climbing animation, you can release forward and hold the climb button. Then at the top release climb and press forward and jump at the same time. You go backwards if you just jump without holding a direction
Amazing video, thanks. But how do you get the third person camera on olympus. I mean i know that with r5reloaded you just can explore kings canyon and WE. It would be amazing to be able to explore olympus and stormpoint playing alone. How it can be done? Thank you ;)

The timing is so hard it’s impossible to be consistent with it
I like to do it off sound instead of animation this helped me out alot

Now I just need to master super jumping so I can master mantle jumping.. You have any videos on those??
Detective district on the best move thx man I've been waiting for so long but this is the icing on the cake
your one of the only people who dont say to use something like macros or just some controller thingy on steam gj and keep up the good work
Funnily enough he uses Steam configurations lol
And macros 💀
Im confused, on pc and on the last frame, we need to hit W, shift, ctrl, and space at the same time? Or do we only need to press shift while climbing?
I usually use L3 jump and R3 crouch since I don't have a custom controller and it's still pretty good

I learnt to do it consistently like 10 minutes after watching this video. In 1st person delay the input a little after you see the last mantle.
First day: managed to hit it consistently three times; twice, it’s so much fun in the firing range and going zoom!
lol i got to do it 3 times but, your the best bro thanks for the videos
Some Guy Said he does it of Sound and this helped me very much
Thank you for the tip, in a day I could at least do 2 super glide in a row but I have to make it a habit of using it in combat. Again thank you👍
I am new in apex legends so i think i need practical example 😕 i am trying 100s of times but i can't do the super glide 😕
Can you make one on how to tapstraff

I can do it kinda consistent at walls but when i try to do it on doors boxes etc its hard
bro just watching you i can now do superglides thanks so much lmao
While climbing, can i keep pushing my analog forward or let go then push it again when last animation?
ps5 controller is 90$ and you tell people to get a modded one. Gaming is a luxury at this point
I bind the jump button to r1 it makes it a lot easier to time the glide

thats just a slide boost, superglides need the crouch
Thats not a proper super glide u get velocity out of super glides
I’ve been practicing and I can get about 2 out of 3 super glides on any surface.
It really is some rough timing, I still haven't been able to do one yet but I'm working on it. I think I'm getting close though, I can sorta feel it
do you have a video on teaching on how to tap strafe on controller
go onto steam and get controller configurations, you cant learn to tap strafe on controller bc its not possible with out steam controller config
