Little tip for drivers from a marshal, if your car is on fire, stop at a marshal post on the same side of the road. Stopping between posts on the wrong side of the road is not ideal. We're not going to run across a live track with fire extinguishers to put out your car. If that guy wanted the fire put out quicker, he should have stopped at the end of the pitlane, not rolled all the way to the apex of paddock hill bend...
Also only listen to the marshals. If a spectator screams at you to "STAY IN THE CAR" when your car is on fire, Ignore them. They are idiots. And yes I have seen this happen.
Great video as always 👍 The fire for the Escort was so pointless though. Guy was driving around for several laps with a smokey, off the pace car, to then stop in a terrible place and nearly cause a massive crash (he passed the pits at least twice). It's a really frustrating trend these days of drivers refusing to pull off even when the car is obviously broken, and then ruining it for everyone else. Really hope MSUK start clamping down on it
@@ModelNerd Yep, that really cheesed me off as well. Total lack of respect for the marshals. The guy driving that has been racing for years, he really should know better.
Peter Tyler's crash in the radicals was pretty awful, ive just read he was pretty badly injured. All the best to him with his recovery. A real shame, his car was the most beautiful looking in the field imo.
Great video as usual but what was going on with this guy in this Escort driving round with smoke then decides to pull over at the most dangerous part of the track and wave Marshall’s over when cars are racing round. He should have driven on to the grass or pulled in the pits before he came round.
I was there, he'd been getting increasingly slow the previous few laps with plenty of vapour / smoke coming out of the car the previous few laps. Common sense kind of said surely he'll stop. Then to see him crawl to a halt at paddock was alarming. I used to marshall at brands, I was horrified!

Thank you. From a fellow marshal here in NZ, we've said the same thing. No use to us if your on the other side of the track whilst on fire

@@hcfybguctugdhu5223 wtaf.......did you get the spectator removed??
Exactly. I was watching this thinking that is literally the worst possible place to stop.
Great video as always 👍

I thought the same - he pulled up there and then tried beckoning marshals across a hot track. A huge no-no, especially with a fire bottle.

The enduro ka is a personal favourite

That fire didn’t look like it wanted to go out like those magic candles that you can’t blow out 😂
