Hey, just an observation. Maybe it was intentional or it is a type of knitting style I'm not used to, but you seem to make twisted stitches! It seems you wrap the yarn clockwise when purling, which causes your stitches to twist, and when you want to knit them it is more difficult to get the needle through the stitches. And I did notice you would sometimes have a hard time getting the needle through the twisted stitches when doing a knit stitch.
Idk if it was on purpose, but just in case it wasn't, the way to solve this is by wrapping counter-clockwise when purling! :)
Also your tutorial is super helpful so I can make tiny sweaters so thank you very much!!

Hi! Thanks for commenting, i am still a begginner in knitting and it was not intentional 😅 I did have someone commenting about this on the frog tutorial too. I am trying to be more carefull when purling as this is the way I have always worked it 😁 but anyhow aslong as the idea pf how to create this is out there I am happy because I found no tutorials when creating this. Thanks for your comment it is appreciated ❤️

It’s the way I have been taught by my grandmama and have always worked certain stitches in this manner for years until some knitters commented ☺️ my channel is mostly crochet these frog related are my first knitting related where as for the frog I do state that I’m a beginner where it comes to knitting 😅

@@hookedonyarnwithalthea It is very easy to make the change - when purl, just "throw" the yarn over the top of the needle to wrap it, instead of going down under the needle and around. Very simple, but I know hard to make your hands do something different than you're used to.

Thank you thank you thank you!!!!! I bought the frog and sweater pattern 3 months ago and have attempted it 4 times now. Between your tutorial and the pattern, I was able to do it very smoothly.

I bought the frog and sweater pattern and decided to try the sweater pattern first. I desperately needed to see this to conceptualize in my head how it goes. Thank you!

The way you are purling is causing your knit stitches on the other side to be “twisted”. It gives a nice texture, but it sure does make it hard for you to kfb. Your stitches should be mounted on the needle with the right leg of each stitch being on the front of the needle - yours are in the back of the needle causing the stitches to be too tight and difficult to knit easily.

@@hookedonyarnwithaltheaI watched you purl on the green row. Instead of bringing the yarn up from the bottom, take it across the top of the needle and down. Try this and you will see it is much easier and less difficult to make your increases and decreases. The right edge of every stitch should ride on the front of the needle, not the back. I used to teach knitting and this was a common mistake of self taught knitters.

@@hookedonyarnwithalthea Thank you, I hesitated to say anything, but if you try it I think you’ll be amazed how much easier the stitches come off the needle. When I heard you say you usually crochet, I knew that I needed to tell you. Try a swatch and let me know what you think. I did enjoy your video, and I’ve made several of the little froggy sweaters. Your video is a great visual of the whole process.

Hello, thank you so much for the Ravelry sight suggestion, I can't wait to use these bigger patterns. However, neither of the links in the description seem to work and when I look up the artists username it doesn't pull up either. Any suggestions? I'd hate to think the artists patterns are no longer available...

Im afraid you will have to purchase the pattern and follow row by row to have an acurate understanding but at row 11 there are 4kfb.
