Honestly, I have followed you guys forever and all I see is growth. The level of your conversation and communication has really evolved. Thank you for this level of transparency, and kudos for being light in a very dark world.
The level of vulnerability, honesty, and active listening is so enlightening. Akah, I admire your growth and wisdom. Claire, I just like you. Your communication skill, and disposition while dropping gem is admirable.
Hmmmm when claire talked about waking at night, honestly no matter how much one is sensitive before having a baby can never prepare one after having a baby,,hyper sensitivity pro max! My husband can sleep on trailer but once we had a baby we started shifts cause the mental work for caring for a child is more on the women hence i need the night sleep. Beautiful conversation!
Thumbs up to Akah &Claire. Claire cracked me up when she said 'if I should be living the standard I should be living, I'd be fleshy'.....I wonder what some women would say with standard of living if YOU are saying this. I love you.❤
Man the rawness towards the end was real! Thank you for sharing! Akah you have to rewatch and hear truly what Claire is saying, Youre a great hubby and dad but she might be saying she wants a little break every other day to regain that strength because she will end up burning out. She is saying it calmly so it can be easily missed! Love you guys
Thank you both for sharing. I really like how honest you both are. I like what Claire brought up about getting support from husband specifically with changing diaper. This conversation reminded me of a man that posted on IG requesting readers to advice him because his wife had refused sex and they have a 10 month old baby. The first commenter said, sir, how are you helping her with the new born? are you rotating sleep at night to feed? etc. I feel this is a very important conversation to have that our men can also change diapers, read books with their kids etc.
Woow. This video is wholesome.. I just realized that i never thought deep about marriage being an institution and should be treated as such: like intentionally calling for meetings, assessment and so on. Thanks for the insight Akah and Claire 😊
Akah is a great man i can relate with him regarding planning for the future: and Claire is a super natural gorgeous lady for understand and putting her point straight Respectful.
Claire is full of wisdom . She puts everything in perspective that every time she says something, I would shout, "Yes!!!. Akah is also very understanding. Great team for raising Gabby.
Thank you for this conversation! The part where you discussed parenting and the roles husbands also need to play in taking care of the kids and not just leaving it to their wives reminded me why its so important to pick a considerate partner and also discuss these expectations while dating
Nice pod, I think clear is just saying Akah should involve her in how the money comes and goes and I assure you it makes couples bond more, especially when they plan financially together on what came in and how it leaves the account. I do that with my husband always Infact he lets me manage income and outflows so am involved and don’t feel left out. Nice one akah and Clair
Thank you for your vulnerability , really learnt a lot from you both . Married for 9 years now with 3 beautiful kids 😀. May God continue to bless and keep you and yours . ❤❤
I loved the advice you gave at the end, Claire. Put structure before introducing a new team member-gold! Overall, I enjoyed the episode. Thank you, guys. More grace and good things for your lives, family, and ministry 🙌🏽.
I just want to say i love you guys ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ I have followed you for so long now. I have seen how you guys have grown into maturity . Its just like i grew with you guys (😂😂😂) I love you both. Keep being amazing. God is obviously the centre of your home and he will keep it form naysayers. Blessings Mr and Mrs Akah.
Guys relax with the semantics… let it go. Akah did a good job of letting go quite a bit… Claire, Ask for help when you need it… give yourself grace and just ask… mismanaged expectations are killing marriages everywhere … I would love to hear more letting go of some of the rigid rules and rhetoric … they kill romance. Relax! God bless your union
I really enjoyed this conversation☺😊 Thank you for your openness and vulnerability. Can I plead that you keep posting full episodes here coz we also love watching the body dynamics that go along with the conversations. God bless and keep you🙏❤
Such a wholesome conversation! Claire, you put into words some of my thoughts in this season as i navigate motherhood for the first time! It has changed my life in a way i never thought was possible. Thank you both for this conversation❤
I love you both❤️❤️ Special shout out to Claire- your sincerity and passion for the things of God after watching you on CEO Unscripted❤️, your words seasoned with salt❤️ and the way you respect Akah👌🏾. You’re one of the woman that inspires me a lot. Love you 🫶 Happy International Women’s Day Special shout out to Akah- man of wisdom and understanding. God bless you. The Lord continually bless you both and strengthen you always❤️
A reply. 🎉🎉🎉 I'm so so happy. No, it's my final year. Had Corporate law today and it's a whole load of sections and cases. Thankfully, it went well to the glory of God. 🎉
Claire, i think you have to stop comparing your parenting to that of other families. Your husband is a breadwinner. You can't have the best of both worlds. "Father going to work and coming back to take over" ?? That's for women who share breadwinner'ship with their men😂. Akah should take some tasks off you, bond and raise his daughter. That's right but having a man that pays the bills and takes care of his home properly, (in this generation) that's a blessing! Please drop "some" expectations you have of him. God bless your home!❤
You are in no position to tell her anything about how she wants her home run. Once we see a man doing the most in a family, we tend to think, oh wow! He’s doing a lot because in most of our African homes, such is hardly expected. We suddenly think he’s a golden man and shouldn’t be stressed. What do you mean in this “generation?” It is actually in this generation that women should be demanding more! If you come to my house then you’ll choke. Part of the reasons I honestly do not entertain female friends. It’s my home, you have no right to voice your opinion about how it’s run if I didn’t ask for your opinions. Fem! 🤐 😊
I no dey feel una vibes. Especially the guy. Something’s off. From the way the guy pronounces his words [his voice pitch], his gestures [facial expressions, hand movements], etc, I suspect say the guy no dey connected to im masculinity. He comes across as a husband who tries not to offend his wife [not saying he should do so but he did not, for once, attempt pulling his wife’s legs during the convo]. Dude probably lives in the fear of saying/doing the wrong stuff. I hope, genuinely, that I’m wrong. Really. Anyway sha, happiness na the most important thing. And you two look it. 🥂
Couldn't agree less. Really sad to watch. Used to love this couple.. what has changed is your disposition towards yourselves. Claire is the strict school teacher with the whip.
Maybe something is off with you. This is a raw, honest and vulnerable conversation. Akah is an actor, so he can gesticulates sometimes and that doesn’t have anything to do with the conversation. That’s how Akah talks all the time, except you’re new here then you wouldn’t understand. And yes they are very much happy. Peace ✨
To be honest, that mother instinct is already inbuilt in a woman’s DNA. So, if a man is actually “PRESENT” be very appreciative. I learn something from what both of you said in the “I” for me, I noticed that my husband is a spender (sometimes irresponsible about it) because of that I have allowed him carry a lot of the bills such as the wants/needs. However, once in a while, I come in as a subordinate 😊. For us, it’s working out perfectly for us. I’m loving this and y’all keep it up.❣️💯👏🏾🫂
I do not expect less, when two smart and intentional people get married.
Honestly, I have followed you guys forever and all I see is growth. The level of your conversation and communication has really evolved. Thank you for this level of transparency, and kudos for being light in a very dark world.
Claire is so wise! What a woman! You're a standard. God bless you 🤍
Have been watching you guys for like 10years now and u keep improving Akah n claire
Claire is soooo intelligent I love her composure and how she still gives her honest opinion respectfully,a true genuine lady…I admire you Claire ❤️
Intentional conversation, I loved that Akah listened and ask questions where necessary.

I love the structure thing! Marriage is an institution and we need to put structures in place

Claire, your points were solid. However I think you should compliment and appreciate your husband more loudly for the his contributions.
So much maturity in your communication .

It’s how Akah keeps spilling words of wisdom and Claire adds to it.

I believe you can have best of both worlds, depending on what you want to see in your home.
Thiss makes sense

🎉D wife is so calm n intelligent, but y is Akah moving his body, hands y talkin?kinda looks odd
If it’s so odd then there wouldn’t be a word for it- gesticulation. He’s an actor, gesticulation is their whole thing.
please have another childdddddddddd
Ok dear. Consider it done
What kind of comment is this!???? Whyyy?!!!!
Let people have children when they want to!
Just an opinion from a good place
