Regarding taking the baby car seat apart for cleaning, for people who are nervous about putting complicated things back together, it's helpful to take pictures of how they look before and during the process to make it easier to remember how it goes.

U R SO RIGHT about hair. Human hair sheds all over the place and absolutely disgusting to see it near food. People please, tie back your hair around food or when exercising.

I will never eat at a home with a dog or cat. We were invited for pasta dinner. There was Labrador hair on the table and place mats. Gross !!! We just about vomited. I had to quickly create an excuse and headed out.

You talked about hanging the tennis shoes on the dryer door to dry so they don't make noise while drying -- great idea. I also hate to wash dedicates that say "Dry Flat". So, what I do is clean off the top of my dryer, spread out the sweater (or whatever) and run a load in the dryer. The load gets dry and so does the sweater.
Great tips in this video. It's been a while since I cleaned a child's car seat (my kids are 33 and 36), so thanks for the "brush-up" course.

New subscriber. Love your updated cleaning and products tips. I've always prided myself on a very organized, clean home but with mobility issues at 78 years I've had to adjust from what I use to be able to do. Any tips or videos you can do for we "eh hem" vintage dolls would be appreciated. Eg, hand held steam cleaners are heavy, but ones with a longer delivery system solves that problem. Thank you

I think if you stop thinking about the satisfying end result you'll be able to get through it cuz if your rooms are too dirty it won't look clean for days and you'll start to get tired.
Start by sorting the stuff into piles, like stuff to be thrown and stuff that needs to go to other rooms and such so you don't make too many trips.
Then you can get to the actual cleaning.

Melissa, thanks for your videos. I have a laminate floor. Sometimes my dog has accidents on it. I try to wipe it up quickly. About once a week I use my wet mop pad on it and a little vinegar to clean the floor. I see a lot of streaks and the next day it honestly looks dirty again. What am I doing wrong? I read where vinegar keeps it from streaking but it did not work with my floor. Help!

    • @FionaApplewright
      @FionaApplewright ปีที่แล้ว +1

I have hardwood laminate, not sure if that's the type you have too but I had a similar problem. I'll say right away, if you use any aerosol air fresheners it's probably half your problem. I cut them out and my floors were so much better after that.
However, I also have animals whom sometimes have accidents and am terrified of bleaching my floor colours with pet stain removers, so before I do my weekly mop I use some warm water and mild dish soap to wipe with a cloth or papertowel the areas that I know accidents have recently or frequently happened, and I mop those areas with vinegar and water as well, but after the other main areas. If you miss a little bit one week, going back for touchups next week helps stop the buildup, which is why I focus on all their favorite corners every time. I've personally seen a big improvement!

I've accepted the fact that laminate flooring can either be clean and streaked or remain dirty. There; you're welcome. LOL I've found nothing that works; no product; no technique; no magic. New construction apartment; first time living with it. Lesson learned for next move; never again. Sure it is inexpensive and long lasting for the property owners; but what a cleaning nightmare. (And no they have no clue either; the offices and gym have it and also looks bad as mine) Hope someone reading this knows the secret to removing streaks; hard water spots; restore some shine.

I recently read an article that said that mixing vinegar (an acid) and dish soap (an alkaline) aren’t as effective when mixed together because they neutralize each other. Have you heard this?

Hi Darlene, I have heard something along those lines, so I try to mixing only a little bit to see if it works. I think the main thing is staying away from products that could create harmful gasses. I do love cleaning with natural products! Have a wonderful weekend!❤

I think that only matters for disinfecting purposes. It still can function as an anti streak finisher when mixed with dish soap.

What solution of hydrogen peroxide is being used svp? In our chemists we tend to have 3%, 6% and 9% on the shelves.

I think I’m going to have to thread the extension on the squeegee. We have a pretty long pole. I’ll talk to my husband….Unfortunately, it’s supposed to rain almost every day for awhile…. I’ll talk to my husband….

The refreshing of clothes- isn’t a that unsanitary to throw in the drier? The next time you use it is probably for a fresh load of washed laundry- especially underwear- and will germs/bacteria from the refreshed clothes not transfer? I love your videos but this is one I would never do- as my personal opinion 😊 food for thought
