Homegoing Celebration for Elder Henry "Bud" Elliot Roberts Jr.

Elder Henry E. Roberts Jr. affectionately known as “Bud” was born on February 06, 1971 to Henry E. Roberts, Sr. and Ollie Mae Roberts. Henry received his formal education in The Liberty County School System. Henry accepted the Lord as his personal savior at early age. Henry attended Major Bennett Bible Institute in the year 2005. In 2009, Henry received a certificate in Economic Development from Savannah Technical College. In 2013, Henry was ordained as an Elder by Bishop Moses Lewis. Henry was employed by the City of Hinesville for 25 years where his dedication and perseverance were recognized.
In April of 2003, Henry was joined in holy matrimony to Alfreda S. Golden. Out of their union two sons were born Josiah Roberts and Jarius Roberts. Henry was a devoted husband and father. He was hardworking, humble, and a man of few words.
On May 31, 2024 God Called Henry from labor to reward. He will truly be missed.
Left to cherish all of his memories is his loving wife Alfreda, his two sons Josiah and Jarius Roberts. His father Henry E. Roberts, Sr. (Essie) of Indiana. His mother Ollie Mae Roberts of Hinesville, Georgia, siblings Angela Roberts of Hinesville, Georgia; Anna Huntley (Jerome) of Gainesville, Florida; Anthony Roberts of Hinesville, Georgia; Shonda Lucas of Hinesville, Georgia; Felecia Weaver of Allenhurst, Georgia. Father-in-laws Alfred Golden (Brenda) and Robert Cooper (Pamela) of Midway, Georgia. Brother-in-laws Charles Lumpkin, Jr. of Hinesville, Georgia; Curtis Bacon, Jr. of Cleveland, Ohio; Sentell Golden (Krianda) of San Antonio, Texas. Sister-in-laws Lateshia Golden of Fayettevile, North Carolina; Charlene Lumpkin - Johnson of Richmond Hill, Georgia; Shanetria Golden of Midway, Georgia; Shelia Lee (Michael) of Lubbock, Texas and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Henry was loved by many. His wings were ready but we were not. Go on and take your rest we love you Henry but God loves you best.
Elder Roberts will have a visitation on Friday, June 7, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at The Dorchester Funeral Home (7842 E. Oglethorpe Hwy Midway, GA 31320). His homegoing celebration will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 11:00 AM at The St James Community Center (1140 Holmestown Road Midway, GA 31320). The interment will occur at The St James Community Cemetery following services
