It's so hard to know what to do for the best when you have a really sick pet. You want to do everything you can, but don't want to put them through tough treatment that they don't understand and stresses them out. One of my first cats I had years ago had liver problems. He was 16. We went back and forth to the vets and he hated every minute of it from the minute we got in the car until we got home. In the end nothing we did helped and on new years eve he was put to sleep and I felt soooo guilty for putting him through everything, but if I didn't do anything I'd feel guilty for that. And then there's the financial aspect. Hugs to you all and I'm praying for the best outcome ❤. P. S. I started watching this last night before bed and then I had to go to bed because we needed to get up early for my fiancé's hospital appointment. The first thing I did when I got up was finish watching with a caffeine coffee ☕. Now that's dedication 😉

Hi sweetie from Washington, all 4 of our Rottweilers only lived to 7,8 ish, all had tumors, 1 had a leg amputated, after they had surgeries to remove the tumors, more came back within a year, anyway lots of trips to the vet and lots of money to prolong life. Your decision of course, but the vet always told us after a major surgery, and anesthesia there never the same. It's been the hardest thing we've ever had to do because they are family, I'm tearing up just thinking about it. We've had numerous rotties, they have all crossed the rainbow bridge, always from cancer, one had a leg amputated. So hard, they are such a wonderful part of the family, the tumors came back within a year and they were in pain. I'm in tears for you and future decisions.
I had something similar happen with my dog. If I had it to do over again I would bring my dog home, keep her comfortable and let nature take its course. Everything else seems so unfair for an old dog. I wish you all the best
Aww Beauty ... love her ❤ . Business account !! You're a proper you tuber now Beth . The house wasn't bad to say you have all been sick .The sound was absolutely fine xx.
I could totally relate to your sense of overwhelm... When health, car and animals are not doing so great, it takes so much energy. Give hugs and kisses to Beauty for me. I'm an animal lover and I would do anything for my animals. My first beagle had bladder cancer at 12. She had surgery to remove it and lived another 1 1/2 years. We didn't do chemo, it didn't seem to me necessary but we died from colon cancer. Chemo for dogs is said to be easier to go through than for humans. Whichever decision you make, you are doing something to make her feel better. You're the expert of your animal in the day to day. You'll figure it out and we'll be there to help ;)
Thank you Stephanie. The vet did say chemo is easier for dogs but I don’t think we would go that route. I think we would just do palliative care at that point.
Our dog was so poorly for a good while. Every week he would have to go the vet for treatment. He was 16. He had kidney failure and other issues. My poor dad had to work overtime to pay the bills for over a year. One week my mum took him and the vet said enough now. You need to let him go. She came back with just the lead. We were all distraught but it was definitely the best thing to do. With hindsight we shouldn’t have kept him for so long. We did it for us not him.😢❤. Prayers for you and your beautiful dog.
I don’t know if this will help you, but I put a garbage bag that fits well over my litter box , then I put newspaper 🗞️ down in the bottom or just some moving paper, couple sheets, after that the litter, I just remove the whole bag by pulling it off & tying it up, put in the garbage can. I do scoop the litter inside some if it’s not too bad off & put that in a plastic grocery bag or a bag & in the garbage between the removing the whole bag. It just helps me not to have to wash the litter box out each time. 🤷♀️😊👍🏼
I have a 13 year old boxer. 2 years ago a tumor grew on his peni$ and we were told he had maybe 6 months left. It was supposedly aggressive and nothing could be done. We were told to take him home and keep him happy. He’s still alive. However, he has took a turn this past week. He’s become incontinent all of a sudden. He never uses the bathroom inside and it breaks my heart when he has an accident. I clean it up and give him loves to reassure him. I know he’s confused cause he sees me scold my bulldog for peeing inside and he’s not getting scolded. I hope Beauty does well and pushes the odds like my old boy has.
Thank you!! Our other rottie declined quickly and started having accidents and that was a big sign for us. Beauty is still happy and wildly playful so I’m hopeful she still has plenty of time with us left.
Omg girl, I did manage to wash my sheets first day after 48 hours in bed with the flu. Yuck You are still light years ahead of me (with more people in your house too.) So impressed. .
Ill let your videos thats i already watched just run in de background! I have so much respect for you that you’re going true with this. I know these are not easy decisions. Animals give so much love but when they get older or sick it rips our heart out. Just stay close to your heart with future decisions ❤
Aw, I’m sorry to hear that Beauty has cancer. Is it a mast cell tumor? Those can grow really fast. Poor baby. ❤ Totally hear you on whether to do chemo or not, given her age. Our Great Dane mix had lymphoma when he was four years old. We treated him because he was young and we weren’t ready to say goodbye yet (and we had pet insurance which covered a lot of it, thankfully). He had a good quality of life for another 8 months and I’m very grateful for that extra time with him. But if he’d been older I don’t think we would have done it. Quality of life is the most NB I think. Lots of love to you and your family. ❤
It is a mast cell tumor :( we had it tested at our first vet and then referred for this one. It’s so sad but I don’t want to keep cutting tumors out of her and just give her pain! So I have hopes and prayers that this tumor comes back as not super aggressive.
That WAS me that said that! I have learned a lot about you from your older videos that I didn’t see (I didn’t know about your channel then) when you originally posted them. I had a co-worker who used to call me Pammy Whammy from Alabamy. That might help you to remember my name. Yes I did grow up in Alabama. But I’ve lived in California for 50 years now. I’m so sorry to hear about Beauty’s paw. You’ll have to just take it step by step. See how she reacts at each stage and what the cost vs reward is at each stage. I hate cancer. For us, for our dogs and for our cats. It is insidious. I’m so glad the Suburban is back in the driveway. Thank goodness! I’m glad you got your business account all squared away! That was a major thing done and dusted! I hate going out into the world too. It just seems so mean and germy anymore. Can’t wait to tune in with Marc tomorrow! Xoxo
@@CaliAnimalLover it’s not that I couldn’t remember Pam, I wasn’t sure if YOU had said it. But I figured you wouldn’t be offended if you hadn’t so it was an easy name to toss out there ❤️
Thanks for being real. I really appreciate it. Also, I NEED to know what breakfast shakes you guys like. I’d love to get anything in my kid in the morning.
I googled breakfast shakes and found the boxes you have on the counter. I felt a bit like a stalker, but now I know your kids like the carnation breakfast shakes. I remember my mom eating the carnation breakfast bars when I was a kid. She said they were for grown ups for breakfast. But I don’t know who she thinks she was kidding. She was horking down a candy bar and hogging it all for herself.
I always replay your videos to motivate me! For the past few weeks I just can’t seem to get going. I’m really struggling. I try putting on a great front but it’s just not cutting it Thanks for being so real and so honest ❤
Hey love. I hate that you are in a hard part of life right now! It’s awful struggling, I feel for you so much. I hope you can get tiny things accomplished, and that’s all that’s really needed.
I loved it when you looked down while in the laundry room and whispered “I don’t want to do it”! It reminded me of the little guy on “Malcolm in the Middle”. Great job on everything today. You rock!
I'm a vet tech and i love your videos and I'm sorry you are going through it with Beauty. I can vaguely understand your vet not wanting to be involved but is there a way to call clinics and ask if a vet tech could come change her bandages and video the Florida doctor each week? or are you comfortable learning how to rebandage her foot and video him? It' just seems crazy that you would have to drive 3 hours for bandage changes. If I lived there I would do it for you.
Come move in!! I’ll clean a room for you 😂 I’ll ask about other options because I didn’t realize a vet tech/video would be an option at all. I am telling myself it’s just a season of life. It’s only….6 weeks or so? I can’t remember for sure. And I can do anything for 6 weeks. Except diet apparently.
You look so pretty for just getting over the flu hun,,,,sweetheart you shouldn't be so hard on yourself hun your whole family are just getting over the flu,,,,sweetie I would gladly go to Florida every 3 days with you my heart is breaking that it wasn't better news for her and I know your facing a super tough road ahead with your sweet beauty,,,,I just wish I was there to give you a big hug it broke my heart watching you fighting back your tears trying to get through telling us about beauty's health update I just can't tell you how very very sry Iam,,,,,have you thought of getting beauty a inflatable cone then she may have a harder time licking her foot because it won't bend it will just keep bouncing back into shape
Thank you so much Angela ❤️ this whole thing just sucks. I’m going to go get this exact cone again because it holds up for about a week and a half, and she can really easily sleep in it. It’s inexpensive and I want her to be comfortable.
so sorry about Beauty's health issue. hopefully, they won't find other cancer. i've been thru the horrible choices one has to make for whether to do chemo or not. horrible to be in that position. so glad you got your car back. i hardly go anywhere any more, but still must have a car. i have to be able to drive myself anywhere, anytime!! smart idea to create your own business acct!! remember, you don't have to do everything in one day!
I’m sorry to hear the news about beauty! I will say that I had a friend who had a dog and that dog lost two of his toes and lived a long and happy life after that. But I guess it’ll come down to biopsy results. Also you did a great job with the house and a great job with a video! I do wish I could give you a hug or bring you a casserole or something like that. Super glad that you have your car back! and proud of you for setting up a business account, you professional TH-camr, you 👏👏👏
@@feraltradwife It’ll be OK ❤️ you don’t have to make all the decisions at once. And you definitely do not have to feel bad for any decisions that are made with love in order to give her the best quality of life possible. you will have some time to give her extra love. You could even start the chemo and if it’s not good for her, you don’t have to continue. It’s really hard knowing what to do for a creature that can’t actually tell you what they want. you’re a mom, you already know how to do hard things. If it turns out that at some point she is suffering, I know that you will do the best that you can for her. absolutely no doubt in my mind ❤️

Hopefully see you and Mark tonight. 😘
My pug had a similar tumor on his front paw (ankle joint) and after the second biopsy, it was "aggravated" and 2 months later, he was in so much pain, and it wasn't operable at that point, so I had to say goodbye... he was 16. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't have continues with biopsies and treatments... just spend as much snuggle time as possible and if Beauty is starting to show mobility issues to the point that she's just lounging around a lot, be ready to say goodbye. I think planning goodbye is the way to go. Send her off with dignity when the time is right. It was heartbreaking to see my pug's deterioration happen in 48 hours. I have paws crossed for you all!
We had a collar for our dog we got at pet smart that you inflated. Worked great. Could drink and eat without making a mess but not reach to lick her hind end. Not sure what the answer is for front feet. I think easy to reach still with most collars.
Ex HR MGR here.. you putting the dog treats up on the top shelf, I was screaming “OSHA.. OSHA” the short girl in me was like “ I can relate “. Sending everyone good vibes 😊
@@TNmackintosh I’m telling ya, this establishment has all the osha violations. But HR is useless (to be fair she does have a massive foot tumor so she doesn’t care about workplace safety at the moment. Poor Beauty!)
My cat had lymphoma & they wanted to do chemo & I said no, that would have made her feel even 🤢 sicker for longer plus she was diabetic & had been on insulin for several years. I know lots of pet food 🥘 isn’t the best, too many carbs instead of real meat 🥩 but my now cat gets the real meat & no junk. Anyway I feel if a pet is ready to leave than we should just let them go & not put them through more pain. Just me , how I see it. I know it’s hard because they are our family too. Very sad situation to be in😢❤. Blessings to you & ur family ❤️🩹😐🤔
I'm so sorry about Beauty. Look into at home vet care in your area. They might be able to do the bandage changes at least. There's a company i know it's on most of the east coast at least called Lap of Love that do at home euthanasia and hospice care, but there are also just traveling vets that see pets in your house for regular visits (even at home ultrasounds and x-rays). I previously worked in traveling vet med. It's pretty great where available, and it's getting more available. It can definitely cost more for the convenience, but it helps both of your quality of life not having to travel all that way when already sick or stressed (and gas prices 😳) I'm ~"cosmically"~ sending you both good vibes no matter what you decide 🥰 (Oh and Mac sent me, but you also popped up from the algorithm 😉)
Why am I over here laughing about how insane some of the things you say are and then immediately realizing I’m exactly like you…..loving all the sighing while you move around the house accomplishing tasks 😀😜
Yay, glad you have your car back and you and family are getting over influenza. BTW, when you wiped your camera, Mack was right, it made the picture better. Another entertaining, interesting and great catching up video.
I'm sorry to hear about Beauty. Wishing her well 💜💜 Our Rottweiler was exactly the same with the cone lol she slammed into everything and would get stuck on doorframes constantly, not an ounce of grace 😂 Your laundry room looked great even before you tidied! Proud of you for keeping on top of it and getting it done even though you didn't want to. This sprained ankle of mine has let me fall back into the "I don't want to" mindset and I'm now in the process of trying to get back into the habit of getting things done even if I don't feel like it. Why must it be so much easier to fall out of a habit than maintain it?? Ugh Despite life getting away from you and all the things happening, I think you're doing a killer job. I remember your first videos and relating to your struggle and you've come so far! Yay you! (and yay Sammy for handling the costume situation like a champ!) 💜💜
Sprained ankles take FOREVER to heal and have the added layer of “oh it’s just a sprain” feeling so you feel like you should be fine quickly. But nope. Hurts and you can walk for 12 years. I have looked back at my older videos and I have made great progress so far. I think the biggest one isn’t something that can show up on a video? But it’s how uncomfortable I am in a messy home now. Before, filth monster. Now, reluctant filth monster!
I love my animals also but I worked for two vets and it’s not going to be a good life for beauty. She has a wonderful life and this will be painful and really hard.
So sorry to hear about Beauty’s health challenges ❤️🩹. Making those big medical decisions is difficult. There’s an organization called Laps of Love that will come to the house when it’s time to say goodbye and facilitate a more peaceful passing. Hopefully that’s a long ways off for Beauty girl. I so appreciate your transparency in sharing these hard times, and for keeping me company as I clean along side of you!
We had to put our sweet little beagle 2 years ago. I really loved that girl, and still miss her. 😢but it was the right decision to euthanize her she was full of cancer and so uncomfortable. So there was no guilt, (just grief). I wish you the best looks like you in for a ton of work and I feel for you. Any who I love your videos. Hang in there girl! I pulling for you.
My dog had that kind of tumor. His tumor blew up real big, real fast. It was on the knee of one of his back legs, and it was too big to remove. They would have had to take the whole leg. We tried some chemo to shrink the tumor, and the chemo gave him neurological damage and he had balance issues, so then we couldn't remove his leg. He lived for 5 happy years after his cancer diagnosis, and they originally told us he had a year. He beat the odds.
Leeks are the best, add bacon cut into thin strips and cook with butter 🤤 With all the love in my heart, as an woman that adores animals, I would strongly recommend you put Beauty down. She has lived a long, very good life and cancer is an awful, painful way to go 💜 There is no “right” answer, but, can you picture her without pain? Even if it’s from healing? Because that would be her future 😢 That said, she is your pet, your friend, and as a viewer I will support your choices. Great video Beth 🤗💜
LOL at your remark about drinking lots of water and then having to go to the bathroom. As the cliche proclaims, "What goes in must come out." I am also fascinated with psychopath Jodi Arias. Her prosecutor, Juan Martinez, wrote a great book: "Conviction."
We have a pitbull bull mastiff who is my husband's retired therapy dog who is 12 and a half. His life span was supposed to be between 8-9 years old. We decided we won't make him go through chemotherapy if he gets cancer. He's just too old.
Do what you can for Beauty . Her quality of life will tell you what to do next. So you can say you did everything you could, just like w a human. You don't want them to suffer, but luckily now in the 21st Century we can do a lot more to help them And not let them suffer ❤
You might try using a towel, rolled up and tied around Beauty's neck (this is what our Vet recommended for our dog) to keep her from licking her foot. It might not work but it doesn't cost anything to try it. Love your humor and honesty on your videos 😂😂
I know this is after the fact but in general vets will not amputate just a paw because it takes away that main paw pad. That pad acts as a shock absorber. Leaving the leg with a nub (but no pad) will mean the dog walks on the nub and that is painful. If they take the whole leg, the dog will adjust to walking on three legs with the pain of walking on a nub. I had a cat that ended up having a leg amputated after a horrific paw injury. The vet explained why it was such an extreme jump in procedure.
My rottie was 6. Idk he was sick. He started peeing blood. I took him to emergency vet and the test proved he was full of cancer all over his body. The doctor told me he might be in pain, he was uncertain. But my Rottie had a few days to live. I kept him home for two days and realized he was in pain. We had to put him to sleep. It broke my heart. This was 2015 and I still cry today thinking about him. He was my best friend. Rip Kaiser. I pray your beauty is ok. If she does need to cross the rainbow bridge please be with her. 😢

So sorry about beauty. But. I have to brag that my doggo rarely throws up. When she does, she goes to the door to be let outside. The only time she has puked inside is when I wasn't home. Years ago when I had cats, we picked carpet that matched cat puke in case there was staining. Btw everyone knows that you put antifreeze in coffee not bleach.
When I was 6, my best friend and I were playing dogs (obviously I’m Gen X) & she dared me to eat a MilkBone treat. I did, because m a winner too! Then the following spring I had my first communion. Took me about 15 minutes to figure out what the communion wager tasted like. Can you guess?? Yep - they were fit for my Catholic dogs. Hey, they didn’t get meat on Fridays during lent. The dogs I’ve had with my husband were not Catholic, so they got no MilkBones. I still think they went to Heaven.
Not me working at home screaming with laughter at your transition screen! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 So our vet called our dog by the wrong name, and he walked in and gave her a shot. I mean, we knew she probably needed some shot, but he just walked in, said Hi whatever and then gave her the shot. Then he looked at my husband and me, looked at the chart, and left abruptly. 😰😰😰 Turns out he got us mixed up with other Pug parents, so he gave our dog the shot intended for a whole different Pug. 🤦♀🤦♀🤦♀ Thankfully, the shot was just a steroid, and it did help our aging Pug's hip issue, but we were like, what if it was something she was allergic to or a chemo shot or something?! Turns out our beloved vet was getting dementia, and he retired a couple months after that.
If you had the financial means, time, energy and just witchcraft to snip your finger and do a major change in your house (think room layout, floors, kitchen etc) what would it be? I am forever sad i can't just go into sims 3 decorating/building mode in real life and play around. Money cheat and the "control z" always at hand.
LOL I watch ID channel a lot , I know what you mean, bleach is a very bad choice, one could certainly taste that, I’d definitely go with the antifreeze method 🤷♀️🤣. I think you’re probably hot because you live in Georgia, I used to live in Georgia too and I was SO HOT 🥵, now I’m in Minnesota so I can freeze in the up coming winter 🥶 This was a fun video. ❤️✌🏻🧹

Thank you Linda 💔
I had something similar happen with my dog. If I had it to do over again I would bring my dog home, keep her comfortable and let nature take its course. Everything else seems so unfair for an old dog. I wish you all the best
Aww Beauty ... love her ❤ . Business account !! You're a proper you tuber now Beth . The house wasn't bad to say you have all been sick .The sound was absolutely fine xx.
I’m a big girl TH-camr!
@@feraltradwife that is a good choice, we did the same. It shows you really care and she knows too. That's the most important part
@@Chrissyhappy I think after this if the tumors spread or anything we won’t continue. 💔
That is a good idea babe!
Oh hugs for you and your boy ❤
Thank you!!
Our other rottie declined quickly and started having accidents and that was a big sign for us. Beauty is still happy and wildly playful so I’m hopeful she still has plenty of time with us left.
Omg girl, I did manage to wash my sheets first day after 48 hours in bed with the flu. Yuck You are still light years ahead of me (with more people in your house too.) So impressed. .

Aw, I’m sorry to hear that Beauty has cancer. Is it a mast cell tumor? Those can grow really fast. Poor baby. ❤
Totally hear you on whether to do chemo or not, given her age.
That's so rough to try to keep your house "clean and organized" especially during and after the flu.. Take care of yourself 😊❤

RIGHT?! That’s what I thought of too 🤣
I'm a vet tech and i love your videos and I'm sorry you are going through it with Beauty.
I’ll clean a room for you 😂
I’ll ask about other options because I didn’t realize a vet tech/video would be an option at all.

You might try using a towel, rolled up and tied around Beauty's neck (this is what our Vet recommended for our dog) to keep her from licking her foot. It might not work but it doesn't cost anything to try it. Love your humor and honesty on your videos 😂😂
Thank you!

I would change something about the entryway built in bookcase. I just don’t like it and I don’t know how to make it better!
