like i said in my previous comment i normally don`t like rats or fuzz but this brand is all about dark metal apparently and they have an interesting looking doom fuzz pedal, so a review (and a/b comparison with a regular fuzz pedal) is something i would be highly interested in! merci my friend🙏
This pedal sounds better then most Rat clones that I've tried. For some reason the Rat circuit always has this annoying high pitch frequency that I can never dial out. I tried some clones that had this issue as well. This pedal in your demo does not appear to have that issue. Very cool demo and extremely detailed. Cheers
My first pedal as a kid was a DOD Grunge, which was basically a RAT. Definitely got me hooked on filthy, high-gain sludge sounds, and I still like those kinds of sounds to this day, even if I now get those tones from overdriven tube amps instead of pedals. This brings back all the memories
I use the ritual for a more stoner and doom sounds, even in parallel with an hm2 stile pedal. It sounds huge and destructable. Daniel did a great job getting that Amenra vibe into a pedal! One thing, altar is not the lichtlaerm boost pedal.. But rather a muff stile fuzz
The filter control is good for taming the "sizzle" that's heard almost as a separate sound from the main note(s). I'd be curious is you could turn it down, not necessarily off) and then EQ the tone after the pedal to add high end without the "sizzle" (Not that it's always always a bad thing. I'd just like to be able to dial it out. It gives more of a organ or synth tone without it.).
the best rat pedals for me are the ones which sounds just like (regular) distortion pedals, same with fuzz, i don`t like these type of broken dirty distortion at all..the donner dark mouse is my favourite rat clone for just 30 bucks because its sounds like a...distortion pedal 😂...cheers & thanks
Love this pedal! What's your favorite Lichtlaerm Audio pedal or other Distortion pedal?

My Friedman OD has a pot inside for gain… drilled a hole in the back plate.
Ha, genius :)

This pedal has such a wide range of tones that you'll be able to get any tone you like out of it
Well they've made the best HM2 clone ever, i'm going to guess this is more versatile than the Packrat
