Petch just doesn't have the power and volume to match Tawanchai. Petch lost his last fight imo as he was too stubborn to adapt, but was lucky to be awarded the win in a controversial decision.

Post this fight Tawanchai mentioned in the interview in Thai that he was still stiff, he'll need about 4-5 more fights before he's fully adjusted to this bodyweight at featherweight division

Tawanchai in my book belongs in the top, 3 of muaythai active elite top 3 fighters for sure .
His calm way of fighting yet oh so deadly his perfectly timed punches and kicks ,he doesn't do a lot of flashy stuff .
But he's so technically skilled and, his timing and stealth agility is just on a level of his own , barley gets hit when he's in the defense .

Hard to find weaknesses when you fight a guy that's never even fought in 4 oz gloves. He fought an amateur basically.
Tawanchai could be the next Saenchai. What an impressive performance. Didn't even sweat defeating larsen. The accuracy of the shots and the power in the delivery is remarkable. Let's see how he faces Pet. Pet would be more aggressive and will come up with more knees and clinches so as to disrupt Tawanchai's rhythm. Can't wait to see the fight.

@@BOPBOPBOPBOPBOPBOPOB I have seen how pet defeated saenchai. And how Yodwicha defeated saenchai. Both came very aggressive with clinch and knee and Saenchai had no answer to both of them. Tawanchai is much more disciplined than Saenchai and he would beat Pet as I understand. Pet has no discipline in his Punching defense and is very much vulnerable to Tawanchai's one two punch combination. I am rooting for Tawanchai in their encounter but if pet gets him game straight and show good defense along with his superior clinch and knees game Tawanchai could be in trouble. We should not forget that Pet has a very versatile style and he changes strategy and style against each opponent. He could be Muay khor or Muay mat as the situation demands.

So I guess Kulabdam (fighter of the year 2017), Nuenglanlek (who is a Muay Khao like Petchmorakot), Sangmanee, Chujaroen, Ferrari, Chalam, and Sitthichai are nobodies? Just because you don’t know who Tawanchai fought doesn’t mean he fights nobodies. Also Saenchai fights nobodies nowadays but from the 1990s to 2014 he was at undoubtedly at the top of Golden Era level Muay Thai champions.

Tawan is totally pro level. His power and precision combined with his solid composure after a combo is top class. Moreover, his nonchalant approach after an attack is so deceiving when he's already planning his immediate defence and next hit. This boy is a beautiful example of perfect southpaw muay thai. Only thing is to see how he responds to strong clinches. I hope his next opponent gives him a good fight.

NL is a physically strong fighter. He did his homework but his strategy didn't work out due to the difference of the skills level. He can't power through an equally strong opponent who is known for timing and accuracy. In addition, his opponent, TS, also possesses A-level strikes of 8 limps.
R1: Right away, NL throws a barrage of messy low kicks in an attempt to disrupt and suppress any of TS's momentum. Despite his preparation, NL couldn't do much and had to adjust during the fight. TS counter is a bit different from the rest. He either extends his hands to his opponent's face to judge his striking distance when his opponent strike or moves backward/sideways a few steps just to counter an off-balance and scrambling opponent. (In my teenager, untrained me won a street fight (KO) against a trained and older fighter. It was about defending honor. It was a fair fight supervised by adults. The style was standing your ground/ stepping sideway/ blocking the high kick and striking the low kick SIMULTANEOUSLY. Why would you just stand there and block/absorb the kick?). NL recklessly strikes but exposes his lower body. His movement is too slow. At mid-way of the round, he surrenders his walk-through strategy, then he is trapped in the pocket and absorbs "teeps", side, and head kicks. Both TS and Superbon can do exit-side kick or narrowed side kicks. It was a nightmare.
R2: HL knew that he was facing a unique fighter and decided to stay outside, but it is also a bad idea because he had just become target practice. NL never looks this bad in any fights, he just can't fight TS's style. He will come back and can power and overwhelm other fighters.

Most fighters in Thailand literally grow up doing it. It's ingrained on the mind and body , there's no thinking . Like the way we can all just tie our shoes . That's a hard thing to come up against.

I love Tawanchai and all but can anyone explain for me why they match a guy just debut in ONE vs Tawanchai and he even lost his last 2 fights in 2017. Then Tawanchai earned titleshot after this 😳. Very confused with this kind of matchmaking. Never saw anything like this in MMA organizations
I feel that way too. But TWC is also a quite newcomer to One Championship too despite his huge front page making debut that has made fans here too quickly consider him an elite in One. This is the TWC's 4th fight in One if I didn't miss any thing. He maybe an elite already before coming to One but here he has only just begun not so long.
To be fair Larsen has an impressive record and went up against some of the greatest MT fighters like Bougganem, Buakaw and even found success in glory, the biggest kickboxing organization in the world. He's in no way a can but still, he has no place being in there not being used to 4oz gloves like TWC.

Tawanchai in the past was a boxer who mainly used his left leg. until receiving the nickname "Superstar on the left" and almost all Thai people who watch boxing complain that he lacks the skill of using fists in combat. Thai people have been complaining about this for many years until about 1-2 years later, an international boxing coach came to improve his use of punches. because many Thai people say that he is smart But still lacking punch skills and Tawanchai is still under PK Saenchai Muay Tha Gym Or as we know Saenchai because most of this camp is a boxing that uses the brain to fight. When he was upgraded to the current version of the that used all his organs to fight.
