However, online forums indicated that it is really hard to get an 8.0+ score in the IELTS Writing section (I got a 7.5 in Writing and 8.5 Overall on the IELTS test, for context) - and I agree with this after my experience.

This video a method helped me write the TWO essays I got on test day yesterday. You broke the essay down into manageable chunks. Your relaxed attitude and teaching method makes it so easy understand.
The following tips worked for me: 1. Always write an outline It is important to have a sense of direction if you want to write a great essay. Think long and hard about the points you want to cover and write down an outline. Make sure you include an introduction, a chain of thought-out paragraphs that nudge the reader along towards an argument, and a conclusion in which you reiterate and summarize your points, and spell out your verdict. 2. Stay on the point Some questions are easier to answer than others and you might get tempted to take the easy way out. Don’t do it. People will easily recognize if you decide to dodge a particularly large bullet and just skim over it. Tackle the big issues, especially if you’ve been given a question to answer. Keep in mind that writing a brilliant essay that doesn’t answer the set question is an exercise in futility, especially if you’re a student and the essay is going to be graded. 3. Include both your research and your opinions Present an array of arguments and make sure that they are balanced. This will give you an opportunity to demonstrate your in-depth knowledge of the subject matter. It will also show that you took the time to get into the nitty-gritty of the problem by doing more than what was expected and researching the author and the set text in detail. After you’ve presented all sides of the issue, take a stand. Write down your own opinion of the issue and corroborate it with the evidence and the arguments you’ve presented previously in the text. 4. Proofread - and then proofread again Don’t turn your essay in without being completely certain it is free from grammar and style errors! A spell-checker alone won’t do because it will not catch every slip you’ve made while writing. I took the test yesterday and was surprised to get 90 across the board. Obviously it was easier for me being a native speaker, but I'd love to know the actual scoring process because I thought I'd failed the speaking part due to messing up on the describe image sections. @@majganda Go through as many practices as you can. i used most of e2 language's youtube videos as my methods. Also familiarize yourself with the flow of the exam and formats (time needed for each section, word count etc). Also did a few mock test from this channel. they really helped me alot

I have been following you for more than 5 years now for IELTS earlier and PTE. I would argue that it's a relatively difficult task to complete the same IELTS Writing essay with the same structure in PTE in 20 minutes, while in IELTS we're given 60 minutes to complete. The only reason why we're taking these English tests are that we're not native English speakers and it's not easier for us to accomplish a task efficiently in such an insufficient time period. In addition, it is going to be even more difficult if we ought to write 2 essays in the same timeframe! 😢😑
Nice learning today, thank you. A quick question. Previously, I took my IELTS exam and used the same approach which is used in body paras P1 and P2. I went against the point I disagreed in my essay just as in this video and did the same thing in P2 as well. Still, I got 6.5 bands in writing, why 6.5 and not 7.0? Hi E2L team, Thank you E2L team for the resources. I practiced for several weeks and in last April scored L/R/S/W- 87/90/90/76. I planned to repeat again and after a months preparation before dec 2019, scored 90 in all sections. The E2L sessions were quite informative and combined with Realpte mock test practice, helped me to acquire a dream score. Keep up the good work.
Hi Jay, I have seen a lot of people who are using pre-written essays with blanks. So they are simply filling blanks in the exam and scoring 90 and getting their permanent residence visas. On the other side, people like me are following the correct method and following the correct method. @@majganda Go through as many practices as you can. i used most of e2 language's youtube videos as my methods. Also familiarize yourself with the flow of the exam and formats (time needed for each section, word count etc). Also did a few mock test from this channel. they really helped me alot

I have been following you for more than 5 years now for IELTS earlier and PTE. I would argue that it's a relatively difficult task to complete the same IELTS Writing essay with the same structure in PTE in 20 minutes, while in IELTS we're given 60 minutes to complete. The only reason why we're taking these English tests are that we're not native English speakers and it's not easier for us to accomplish a task efficiently in such an insufficient time period. In addition, it is going to be even more difficult if we ought to write 2 essays in the same timeframe! 😢😑

Nice learning today, thank you. A quick question. Previously, I took my IELTS exam and used the same approach which is used in body paras P1 and P2. I went against the point I disagreed in my essay just as in this video and did the same thing in P2 as well. Still, I got 6.5 bands in writing, why 6.5 and not 7.0? Could you please answer this question Jay?

Thank you E2L team for the resources. I practiced for several weeks and in last April scored L/R/S/W- 87/90/90/76. I planned to repeat again and after a months preparation before dec 2019, scored 90 in all sections. The E2L sessions were quite informative and combined with Realpte mock test practice, helped me to acquire a dream score. Keep up the good work.

I have seen a lot of people who are using pre-written essays with blanks. So they are simply filling blanks in the exam and scoring 90 and getting their permanent residence visas. On the other side, people like me are following the correct method and following the correct method. I have appeared for PTE 5 times and in each section, I scored between 80-90 but in writing, I got 78. So I feel very negative about the system. Please help me about it.
