I love the 2005 Punisher game because it embraces the comic book origins full of superhumans and over the top fights. It does because in this game, it shows that The Punisher isn’t completely a vicious killer. After interrogating an enemy, quick killing or knocking them out gives you points for being merciful. Basically you lose points because you killed them in an absolute cruel way, especially when sometimes they offer to help you.
I both love and hate this game. The interrogations are interesting from a game design perspective, but I've always preferred the more cold, methodical interpretation of the Punisher and they made him way too sadistic here.
Whenever playing as Punisher and he has grenades with him, each time he stuffs one in a criminal's mouth I have the following lines I imagine he says: Say "ah" Bon appetit Here's your just dessert
If only punisher met someone as cool and powerful as Palpatine, we could see all of this executions with punisher himself being a victim. That would be sweet :D
