Great review and very informative as usual! I like that you mentioned Honda's CB500X. I currently ride a 2017 and really appreciate it's versatility and build quality. Maybe the 850 is a logical next step up 🤔. Thanks again Adam!!
After having a cb500x for the last few years, this is the first bike I've seen that feels like it could replace it. I wonder if Triumph know that it will be quite a step up in power for some people and put the hefty brakes on accordingly?
I own an 850 Sport and rented a CB500X this summer. The drop off in power was shocking. My son was on an 850GS and I had no chance to keep up with him, especially not on the twisties coming out of the bend. On the Tiger 850, especially if you get the quickshifter, you can keep up with pretty much any bike of comparable displacement. The Tiger is a terrific bike, and my only regret is that you can‘t get a higher saddle like on the 900 Rally.

Several thousand $$$ more than the Vstrom 650 and the Versys 650. I don't think that extra cylinder is worth all that.
850 inline 3 is not entry level 😄 great bike anyhow
Great review & bike. I have a 2022. I wonder why you & others feel entitled to pull in front of other vehicles at stop lights. One or two vehicles behind and waiting your turn would be courteous, less self-centered & would help make auto drivers not resent bikers for their impatient and selfish tendencies.
Robert, you’ve got to be American. Here in Europe bikes are encouraged to go to the front of the queue, car drivers expect it! In France in particular they’d think you’re weird not to! There’s no bad vibes from car drivers about this issue, it’s the whole point of having a motorbike.
I dont really see why you should buy this over a v strom
