I started really getting into green day after my father passed away in July of 2020,
The entire year of 2021 I was obsessed with the American idiot album..
This mix brought me to tears the first time I played it, the nostalgia is so overwhelmingly strong here even though it's only been less than four years ago
I was very dependent on him my entire childhood and teenage years,
His passing meant that I had to do a huge amount of growth in a very short amount of time

Sorry to hear. My dad passed in April 2021 and that summer getting into Green Day and blink-182’s discographies were the some of the best memories I’ve ever had. Although it was Nimrod for me, I still relate with the nostalgia. It’s crazy how much music can help during hard times.

I feel so much guilt because of our last conversation with eachother. I just left abruptly.

There's a clip of them in the studio recording saviors where billie says something like "I want this song to be interesting in the way a song like letterbomb is interesting". I feel like he must have been talking about this song. This song is definitely interesting in the way that letterbomb is interesting and I'm here for it god dam it. And honestly so impressed with this American Idiot mix..... man i miss the american idiot voice can't lie.
