So glad to see you back. Hopefully with no more illness for the year. Love your Chatelaine! It is beautiful and probably my favorite piece that you share. One of my favorite designers is Ursula Michael. I love her whimsical designs. I enjoy stitching Owls and Hummingbirds. Thank you for sharing your beautiful stitching!
I really hope I'm done with the colds as well this year! I would love to finish Butterfly Lace this year, but I really don't think that's a reality! I'll have to look into Ursula Michaels, I'm not overly familiar with her work. Thank you for sharing, watching and commenting!
Hope you got all your sick days accomplished for the whole year! It's nice to have you back. I started out enthralled with Eileen Bennett's work, then Shepherds Bush and later Victoria Sampler with a smattering of so many others squeezed in there.
Yes, I hope I'm done with all the spring and fall colds as well. I've never heard of Eileen Bennett before so went and checked her out, she has got some really nice samplers, I really like her Home Coming Sampler. Thanks for sharing a great designer with me
So good to see you back on our screens, the butterflies on your chatelaine are so beautiful. I'm a big fan of the sweetheart tree as they are usually small pieces but make your brain work We are getting a lot of birds in the garden right now including my favourite the House Sparrow, such cheeky little birds! Crafty hugs
I love sparrows as well, we get tons of them in our trees. I find that the colder it is outside the more vocal they can be, probably in a desperate attempt to stay warm, lol! Thank you for watching and commenting!
Good to see you My favorite bird is the hummingbird They are starting to reappear after a rainy winter My favorite horror move is The Others Hope you feel better soon You are doing some lovely projects Jenn
Oooh I really wish I could get humming birds in my yard, I;ll try again this year though. I love the others, such a great movie with a nice "twist" at the end! Thank you for watching and commenting!
Hi Michelle, Glad you enjoyed my video, I'm happy to be back. I'm not sure when I'll start that pattern, but it might be sooner rather than later :-D Thank you for watching and commenting. Happy stitching :-)
i'm so glad you came by for a visit. i always look forward to drinking my tea and watching "my peeps" at night til bedtime.(4hours) hugs and stitches..... Bev and Teddybear :o}
Love your video! BEAUTIFUL STITCHING!!!!! My favorite designer currently is Nora colbert. I say "currently" because I find it changes as my stitching mood changes.
So glad to see you back!! I'm glad you're doing well. Your work is beautiful. My favorite designer...if you go by the sheer number of patterns in my stash, it's probably Little House Needleworks. I just love her style and the patterns are easy to follow. But Plum Street Samplers is another favorite, and Brenda Gervais. Happy stitching!
I've actually never stitched a Little house Needleworks pattern, but they look so amazing when they're complete! Thank you so much for watching and commenting!
I'm so glad to see you're uploading videos again!!! I love seeing your progress, especially in your Chatelaine piece, it's gorgeous!! My favourite designer is Ink Circles (probably the 80% of my wish list is) and my favourite bird is the swallow, I can see a lot of them where I live. Hope that you're feeling better.
Thank you, I am feeling much better, if not 2 weeks holiday very shortly will hopefully fix that. I love ink circles, but unfortunately I've only ever competed one....I really need to fix that! Thank you so much for watching and commenting :-) Happy stitching
Thank you, I'm happy to be back! Bald Eagles are beautiful birds, I wish they were a bit more common here, but occasionally you do see one around this area. Thank you for watching and commenting. Happy stitching!
Great to see you back and over the sickness! I always enjoy seeing your progresses and hauls! 'Saw (all of them) are my favorites, but not to stitch with. Lol. Too many frog invitations possible with keeping up with the stories. Lol. Have a Great March and Best Stitches! :)
Thanks, I love the Saw movies as well although I haven't seen the last one yet, I've seriously fallen behind in so many things lately... :-) Thank you for watching and commenting!
So happy to have a new video from you. I'm trying to catch up and still need to watch your Chatelaine one too. Love that Drawn Thread chart you showed but I'm on a stash diet. :)
Thanks Emily, i find that the Stitch fro stash group is really holding me accountable. I may not be on a $0 budget but I'm still at least putting in some serious thought to what I purchase!
Love your videos! I love your Chatelaines...she is one of my favorite designers. The little owl is so cute, probably my favorite bird. Can't wait to see your progress on your butterfly Chatelaine. 😊
'Thank you Kim! The Chatelaines are always so lovely once they're stitched up. I really wish we had owls here in the city, but we have many other birds that are as wonderful to watch and listen to. Thank you for watching and commenting, Happy stitching!
Good to see you back. Everything looks awesome! So, I love love love owls! I have them all over my house. We have a local raptor center that we are members of so we get to go watch them. We can hear them in my backyard but its had to get a look at them back there.
Many years ago I used to live close to a bird sanctuary. It was so cool to be able to watch falcons, owls and eagles up close while they were being rehabilitated for the wild. Thank you for watching and commenting :-)
You're back!! Been missing your face on here. Thanks so much for the shout out and you are quite welcome for your goodies. Your stitching continues to blow me away! Talk soon 😊
Yes, I've started to notice the jack rabbits here changing color. Still no robins yet, but the squirrel and blue jays are coming around more often. So yes, spring is coming :-D
I feel the same way sometimes, I tend to go through spurts where I work on certain designs at a time and of course that's always my favorite...for the moment! :-) Thank you for watching and commenting :-)
So glad to see you back! your stitching is stunning as usual! my favorite designer at the moment is Northern Expression Needleworks, i just love her pattern! thank you for mentioning my peacock band sampler, it is slowly growing and i hope to pull it out again in April. March is being a slow month for stitching as i am too busy with work.
I love your work and your videos! Glad to see you back. I'm interested in Take Time to Stitch. My favourite designer is Mirabillia. I like the colour scheme, the use of Kreinik and beads, but most of all the fluidity of the lines in her designs.
Thanks, Have you see the trailer for the new It? It looks supper creepy, I might break down and see it in theater, hopefully it will compare to the original. Thanks for watching and commenting. :-)
Thanks Tammy, I just went and checked out their patterns and only just now realized that I have several of them in my stash, lol! You know you have too many patterns when...
Welcome back! I love watching your updates. My favorite bird is the lorikeet. I have their vibrant colored feathers. They are only found in south east Asia and Australia. Here in Australia they love to eat from feeders on the back porch.
It's so good to be back and active in this community as well, I just have tonnes of videos I now need to catch up on...Lol! The Drawn Thread has some beautiful patterns, I have yet to stitch one, but am considering it at my next stitch camp! Thank you for watching and commenting. Happy stitching :-)
First...it was great to see you again!! I absolutely love the Jennie Bean....you have just enabled me!! Secondly--My favorite designer is Diane at Little House! I think the simpicity and warm colors of her designs is what draws me in!! My favorite bird is the Raven---I think I've just fallen in love with them this year because I love the dark designs that incorporate them! Lastly, my favorite horror movie is Friday the Thirteenth---I saw it as a teen and it brings back many memories of those years!! Thanks again!! Enjoy Spring in Canada!! Lisa K from Verona, NY
Thanks Lisa, It's so good to be back! I love ravens as well, they are an extremely smart bird and yes, they make great themes in cross stitch :-) I don't have any Little House charts in my stash yet, but I definitely see the attraction of them. Friday the 13 is also a great movie. I think I'm going to have to indulge in a horror movie marathon one of these weekends now! Thanks for watching and commenting. Happy stitching :-)
Hi! welcome back! :-) My favorite bird is the Blue Jay but I find them all pretty fascinating! Glad your feeling better.. your wips are absolutely beautiful you have very good taste in what you stitch xx
Thank you so much, we have several bluejays that hang out in our backyard trees, I love watching them although they don't have the most pleasant song :-) Thanks for watching and commenting!
Glad to be back! Joan does indeed have some wonderful charts, none of which I've stitched so far, bt hopefully one day I will squeeze one in! Happy stitching! :-)
So want to get a Chatelaine after seeing your progress. Stunning! My favourite designer/s are Barbara Ana, Blackbird Designs and Carriage House Samplings. My favourite bird is a Tawny owl. My favourite horror movie is Diary of a Vampire. Look forward to seeing your next video with more of your beautiful stitching :)
You have great taste Joanne! Is Diary of a Vampire the same as Interview with a Vampire? I've never heard it called that before, but it's one of my favorites as well.
I am really drawn to Rosewood Manor and Jardin Prive designs. I really love chubby chickadees! But I also like owls a lot. I'm glad your mom and customer are doing well - I'm sure your customer is really going to appreciate your piece.
OMG! I just went and checked out Jardin Prive! They have some super cute designs, I especially love the ones with sheep and there is a cat one I NEED to have! Thank you for sharing there wonderful designs with me! We have chickadees year round in out backyard trees they are always busy singing away, I love being able to hear them especially on the really cold days! Thank you for the well wishes for my mom and friend. Happy stitching!
I'm so glad I help you discover a new designer! It's always exciting to find new patterns to lust after. As a knitter I'm partial to the sheep ones, too. I hope you can get your hands on one soon!
Thanks. I went to order a couple, but got a bit concerned when I got a notice that the website wasn't secure. I saw the cat one on another website so maybe I look around a bit before I order it!
Hi Jenn! :) Happy to see you back. I hope you won't get sick anymore, sounds like you've had enough for the whole of 2017... Love those Mill Hill kits! They will turn out awesome for sure. And that Ink Circles pattern! Just wow. You're enabling me here. And my favourite designer... Uff that is always a difficult question. I'm gonna go with HAED, for the sheer awesomeness of their enourmous collection and because I'm working on my HAED while watching you. :)
Thank you! I'm actually really looking forward to starting another mill hill kit, but I need to finish off a few things first. Your right, I think HAED's probably have the biggest most diverse collection of patterns there are out there. I'm really excited to get back to mine! Thank you for watching and commenting!
Welcome back! So happy to see you post! Your Jenny Bean Sampler is amazing. I have officially decided if/when I do decide to buy a chatelaine it will be Butterfly lace. I lovvvvvve those crocheted cacti 🌵, I think I will be needing one of those! My favorite designer is a toss up between Plum Street and Prairie Schooler. See ya next time! :-)
Jenny Bean was so much fun to stitch! And I'm always happy to enable! Vampire movies count as "horror" as long as it's not the Twilight series, lol! Thank you so much for watching and commenting. I will pass on the Lovvvvvve for the cacti to my friend, she is a very talented lady!
Yay! You are back! Glad to hear things are going well even though busy! Let's see... my favorite horror movie (tough one). I think it may actually be the original Hellraiser. Big Clive Barker fan.
Thank you, I'm very happy to be back, I really missed being an active part of this community, now to catch up on all the videos I haven't seen yet! Thank you for watching and commenting, Happy stitching :-)
I'm so glad you're back! I loooooooove all your projects and more and more with every new chart you show. My favourite horror movie would have to be harry potter and the deathly hallows 😂😂 (I'm a softie)
OMG! Her designs are so cute! Thank you for sharing, I've seen some of her patterns stitched before, but had no idea that they were hers! Happy stitching :-D
Glad to see you back! My favorite designer is Theresa Wentzler although I have yet to finish one of her designs, I love her use of color and using the blended threads is a challenge. I have always loved Loons, they are the state bird of Minnesota where I call home. I admit that horror movies are not really my thing, I am a bit of a wimp about them but one that I did enjoy was Crimson Peak.
Hi Christy, Loons are one of my favorite birds as well, their call is so mysterious the way it sounds over open water. I used to have loons as a ring tone many years ago. I have never tried a Theresa Wentzler, I think the blended threads would drive me crazy, but the finished product is stunning in the few that I've seen in person! Thank you for watching and commenting
They are a very beautiful bird, I had no idea that was what they symbolized until I asked the question. Thank you for sharing, commenting and watching! Happy stitching! :-)
Welcome back! Glad to hear that your client gets to stay in their home :) Your chatelaine is looking gorgeous and I love the detail in your HAED. That is amazing! My favorite designer would have to be Teresa Wentzler. When I started cross stitching back in the early 90's I was so in awe of her designs and very intimidated by them. I collected many of her charts back then for when I felt brave and confident enough to attempt one. I finally started my first one for stitch maynia just last year! LOL. My favorite bird would have to be the cardinal. Ever since my grandparents both passed I have become more in love with them as they say that when you see them they are your loved ones coming to visit from heaven. I stitch a memorial piece in honor of them every year, like a small Christmas ornament and I try to look for ones with cardinals. Lastly I am a huge horror movie fanatic! Love all things paranormal and scary....books, movies...etc. I would have to say one of my favorite horror movies is The Exorcist. For being made in 1973 the graphics and special effects were amazing. It is super creepy and if I watch it even now I have to watch a funny movie or something afterwards before I go to bed. Otherwise I just see Regan's scary possessed face when I try and close my eyes - LOL The book was super creepy as well! The cut out spider scene that was in the book but cut from the original movie gave me the heebie jeebies when I read that part. Looking forward to seeing your bell pull when it gets finished! The design was gorgeous so it will be neat to see what it looks like FFO'd.
Thank you! I'm very thankful my customer is staying put for a bit longer as I do enjoy my daily conversations with her. I've never been brave enough to try a Teresa Wentzler yet, maybe it the amount of blended threads, or maybe I'm just chicken! Lol! I never knew that cardinal's were supposed to signify the presence of a loved one, thank you for sharing :-) I think the most creepy thing about the exorcist is the bad luck it endured during the filming and production www.blumhouse.com/2015/12/02/is-the-exorcist-movie-cursed/ anyways, Happy thoughts and stitching! Jenn
All the final destination films and love Jack Nicholson in the shinning. Love owls , I use to see one on my way home on the night shift. I don't like geese but I'm fascinated to see them fly in there formations.
Hi Karen! I love the shinning! Although I was disappointed that they never made the hedge animals come to life in the movie. The geese here in Edmonton are pretty friendly, I'll often see them chilling in the downtown parks. Happy stitching and thank you for watching!
Yay glad you're back! Your Chatelaine is beautiful! I too love Jeannette Douglas designs, the pumpkin chart is so cute. I've stitched take time to stitch, as well as others in her collection. My favourite horror movie is Dracula, I love vampires. A close second is Silence of the Lambs. What's your favourite horror movie? And can you pick a favourite designer? That's a tough question? Glad you're better, happy stitching.
Its so good to here of another fan of Jeannette Douglas, I got to meet her last year and she's an amazing lady to talk to. As for my favorite designer? I've been really fond of the Victoria Samplers especially the ones by Thea Dueck. And favorite horror movie is probably Dusk til Dawn, even though I don't consider that a serious "horror" movie I also love the first three saw movies as well. The one that probably scared me the most was The Strangers, that one took me a few nights to get through, although it probably didn't help that I started watching it by myself late at night...lol! Thanks for watching and commenting! ;-)
Thanks, David's Tea had a cat changing mug last year that I missed out on getting, so disappointed.... Glad to have met another tea lover though! Happy stitching!
All your projects are lovely! beautiful chatelaine! I don't have big ones, I do have 3 minis, the ones Mackenzie did (if you know her flosstube). And i'm still nervous to start those! But one of my favourite designers is Stoney Creek. And I like to watch movie when I stitch and I love the classic Jaws! Thanks for sharing!
Yes, I am very aware of Mackenzies videos, she did a beautiful job on the mini mandalas! I wasn't quite so smart and just dove into the Butterfly Lace one! Haha! I an loving every stitch though! I haven't watched jaws in a while, that's a great movie that I'll have to pull out again. Thank you for watching and commenting! Happy stitching!
Good to see you again, you've got so many beautiful projects on the go and a few great finishes too :) I just love to see that butterfly chattelaine! stunning ;) i'm not sure if horror is my genre but 'psycho' is probably my favourite (old skool i know :P) Happy stitching!
One of my favorites is Psycho! You can never seem to go wrong with a classic Hitchcock movie! Thank you so much for your lovely comment and for watching!
My favorite designer is Mirabilia / Nora Corbett, the ladys is soooo beautiful :D and my favorite bird is hummingbird. They are so tiny but have so many lovely colors
Hello, I love Mira's! I have yet to stitch one with a huge dress yet, but I would like to start Red sometime in the near future. Hummingbirds are so delicate, I will we had more of them here. Thank you for watching and commenting! Happy stitching
Hi Janet! I've never seen the Changeling, but just read the plot on IMDB, sounds like something I need to try to track down. Thank you for the suggestion. Happy stitching!
Thank you, I've had a bit of time to rest this weekend and feel like I'm slowly getting back to normal, if not I have 2 weeks holiday coming up to recoup and focus on myself. Thank you for commenting you have great choice in movies and designers, Happy stitching!
Glad to see you back :) your WIPs are looking great and I'm looking forward to your chatelaine video. I am waiting for my first parcel from European cross stitch, although I started with the mini mandalas to ease myself into a chatelaine. At the moment my favourite designer is northern expressions needlework. My favourite horror movie is what we do in the shadows or housebound - neither are traditional horror but I love them! :)
Good luck the the mini mandala's. They turn out stunning when they're completed! If you have the option, I found it easier to work off my Ipad than paper for her charts. Thanks for the great movie suggestions I read both the plots of IMDB and they both sound interesting! Happy stitching!
Love owls. Have a couple of owl needle minders. They have a beauty about them. I would have to say Lizzy Kate and Haed. Have far too many Haed charts. Guess i'll have to live along time to get them all done. Love your chatalaine and loved your video.
Thanks Nicole, I have way to may HAED charts as well, I would go crazy buying them when there were 50% off sales and will never get a chance to stitch them all! Happy stitching! :-)
My favorite designer is a draw between Jeanette Douglas and the Drawn Thread. I love the way both of the incorporate the specialty stitches into such beautiful pieces. I just started The Sanctuary, so will be following your progress on yours! I also have about 4 Jeanette pieces on the go....I just took the plunge into specialty stitches, so my progress is slow!
Hi Cynthia, I'm glad to hear your trying specialty stitches, they are so much fun to do and add so much more to your piece! How are you finding Jeanettes' diagrams for them? I found them pretty easy to follow at least in the project I did. Thank you for watching and commenting! Happy stitching! :-)
yes, they are pretty easy to follow. the Drawn Thread are a little more challenging...sometimes I just have to walk away and work on a HAED or something that is just cross stitch!
just absolutely adore your Chatelaine! I wonder if I will ever get up enough courage to try one! My all time favorite horror movie is the Exorcist. To this day, I cannot watch it in the dark, and thank goodness I am a day sleeper because that movie is like a good burp, comes back up at ya when you least expect ( or want ) it to!!
You could always start with one of the mini mandalas to get your feet wet, or you could just find a design you love and go for it! Yes, the Exorcist is a great classic, it's hard to go wrong with any of them! I remember going to a Halloween party and a couple was dressed up as them. Reagan was positioned so she could flip her head around, creepy as hell, and the priest just pushed her around in a bed all night! Thank you for commenting, watching and Happy stitching!
Welcome Back! You've been missed while you were away :) My favourite bird is either the blackbird or the robin (I'm in uk). They're both so friendly and the blackbirds are clever. I don't watch horror movies, they scare me too much!!.....I'm a wimp, but I love Halloween things :) Carol , '
Thanks Carol, I love robins as well, we usually get a family of them setting up a nest in our back yard every year. I haven't seen any yet this year, but hope to soon! Thank you for watching and commenting!
Glad to see you back! Hope you continue to be on the mend! While I'm not a huge slasher-type horror film person my favorite in that general group is Bram Stoker's. Dracula with Gary Oldman.
Thank you, I feel like I might finally get a chance to get over all the dreaded sickness going around. If not I have a 2 week holiday coming up in a few weeks and might just "recoup" and spend the days stitching. :-D Thank you for watching and commenting!
Thank you, It's good to be back. You have great choice in movies, the older horrors are usually much better than the new ones that come out. Thank you for watching, Happy stitching
Thanks Amanda :-) I'm happy to be back again. Love the shining! You can never go wrong with Jack Nicholas or a classic....even better when they're combined ;-) Thank you for watching and commenting
You know what your probably the last person who should feel guilty about what they spend. You do actually finish a lot of your projects and they are stunning!! If you want the threads you have them. Plus if you know you have spent a bomb on kitting your projects up. You will finish it. X
Thanks Karen, I am trying to get some smaller projects out of the way this year. And your right, spending a small fortune on threads/fabric for a project definitely help with motivation to finish them up. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I know! That fabric blows me away every time I look at it! I've been pleasantly surprised to see so many classic horror movies show up in the comments, Friday the 13th included. Thank you for watching and commenting!
Thanks Amanda. I'm happy to be back after such a long break. Blue birds are so pretty, we unfortunately don't have them here in Alberta though. Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment. Happy stitching :-)
I had to think really hard about who I would classify as my favourite designer, as my "bestest" tends to flip around depending on what I'm currently in love with. I'm going with Chatelaine, as I've probably invested more time, money and energy in her designs that anyone else's. I also pay a fortune to get them framed once they are finished rather than letting them languish in the cupboard. I subscribed during your hiatus, so it has been lovely to see a new video and have a chance to say "hi" from far off New Zealand.
Welcome to my channel! I'm hoping to become more regular with my videos again, thank you for your patience while I took some time to recharge! Chatelaine's are so addictive and the mock up's don't compare to seeing pictures of them completed! Which ones have you stitched?I have yet to actually finish a large one yet and I'm not going to lie, the cost of framing it kinda terrifies me! Lol! Thanks for watching and commenting!
I started with one of the Mini Mystery Castles - J I think from memory - which was a good way to begin as they are smaller. From there I've finished Alpine Seasons and Illuminated Medieval Sampler. Right now I'm working on Scotland Mandala with Pompeii all kitted up and ready to go and however many years it takes me to finish Scotland. :)
I am just back to stitching after a 10 year break so I don't have a favourite designer yet. I am working on a HAED and love many of them but all different designers. I really love blue jays but I love the movie The Exorcist a bit more lol. Hello fellow Canadian, by the way
Hello fellow Canadian! I have several HAED's that I've started, they are great when you just want to cross stitch as they give amazing results! Thank you for watching and commenting!
I'd love to see your Chatelaine unboxing, please? Here's a lil poem for you about my favourite bird: A wonderful bird is the Pelican, his beak can hold more than his belly can. He can hold in his beak, enough food for a week But I'll be darned if I know how the hell he can.
Lizzie Kate patterns look like they would be so fun to do, I've never stitched one before, but she has some beautiful quotes that I would love to stitch one day. Thank you for watching and commenting!
Welcome to the club! I know of several people, myself included that end up taking years away from the hobby only to return to it again. I'm sure, as I found, many things have changed since you last stitched; from the type/ complexity of patterns and even to the people who share this hobby. When I first started stitching I though I was a 1 in a million that did it (i actually thought it was a dying art) but now because of social media it feels like its exploded! Anyways, sorry to ramble on like that... :-) Happy stitching from a fellow Canadian :-)
I've missed you love to see your work, my favorite is Plum Street I think its because of her weiner dog series and yes I'm a proud mama of some weiners. My favorite birds are huimmingbirds I think because of being small but fierce.
I love the Plum Street weiner dog series! My favorite is the Halloweenies which I don't have in my stash....yet! :-D Thank you for watching and commenting!
I love all your projects, good to see you back, I have def missed you! This was a hard one to answer....I don`t watch horror movies, and I got to thinking why I don`t. Then I remembered watching Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte when I was a kid and it scared the pants off of me. I think maybe that is why I don`t watch them anymore...so that would have to be my favorite I guess....
Thank you for staying with me during my hiatus! I've never heard of Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte before, but I will definitely check it out! Older movies, IMO, have a very different scare factor to them which I love. I have a deep fondness for anything Vincent Price or Alfred Hitchcock so I'm interested to see something with Bette Davis, never seen one of her movies before! Happy stitching!
Hello, Thanks for commenting, I really wish we had cardinals here they're such a pretty bird. As for the conjuring, I've only seen the first one, but I might have to expand on that! Happy stitching!
Favorite designer is Durene Jones. favorite bird is a Hummingbird, they are so cute and graceful. Not a horror fan but the one that sticks in my head that I saw years ago is Carrie. Happy stitching, hugs Patty BC psIf you do get into bell pulls my husband and i make metal art ones you can see them in my videos.
Hi Patty, I'm really enjoying the Durene Jones Fantasy SAL I had never heard of her before then. I really wish we had hummingbirds here, they would be so beautiful to watch. I definitely understand why Carrie would stick in your head, that was one of my favorite movie/book when I was younger. Thank you for recommending your channel, I've just subscribed and will catch up with your work in a bit. Happy Stitching
miskacat1 I'm on hiatus too. I understand! Life is hard and crazy! Glad to see you and your awesome projects that now I want to buy. ..that butterfly Mandala is so tempting.
You know I'll be the first person to encourage another Chatelaine start! Lol! I'm the same way with the HAED "Stitches" chart! I haven't bought it yet, but can't stop thinking about it... 'cause another full coverage piece is exactly what I need.. :-|
wonderful update, so glad to see you back. Your Butterfly Lace is just beautiful, I look forward to starting that one soon. How did you find the easiest way to follow the pattern on this? I have been debating using my laptop or my ipad to view the pattern. I figure that i will need to be able to zoom into the sections to see the detail on the pattern. I would appreciate seeing an unboxing of your kit if you could. My favorite designer is Northern expression needleworks. Their shade series really appeals to me with the geometric patterns with the soft accents. Happy Stitching!
Hi Linda, For my Chatelaine's I use my Ipad, I originally tried paper, but found it too complicated and time consuming to enlarge and print out. I still print the specialty instructions and the color/symbol key, but I find it much easier to just zoom in, especially in the over 1 areas. Good luck with your Chatelaine, I hope you enjoy working on it as much as I do! Thanks for watching and commenting :-)
one of my favorite designers is ink circles. and i do love the red robins a sign of spring. i'm not much into horror movies but i enjoy alien vs predator lol
Hi Annie, I can't wait until the robins start making there appearance here! Ink circles have some great charts, but I've only ever managed to finish one so far. I love the aliens movie, but I have yet to see vs predator.... yet another one to add to my "to watch" list! Lol! Happy stitching!
At least the sun is shinning here on the east coast of Canada this morning, the snow is almost all gone :) and soon the summer birds will make an appearance so we can sit outside and stitch :)
Yes, I love stitching outside with all the birds as well. Today is the first day of spring , but I doubt it will feel like it. At least the rabbits are starting to change color, so I'll take that as a positive sign that spring is coming! :-)
Hi Miskacat1, I find that movies with little scary children in them keep me from a good nights sleep, like, this is an old one but 1960's Village of the Damned or It's Alive.
Definitely nothing wrong with the classics! I seriously need a couple weekends to watch all of them, while stitching of course... :-) Thanks for watching and commenting!
I love watching your videos and progress on your WIPs. I would find it difficult to say I have a favourite designer as there are so many amazing designers out there but I can say that I am really into Plum Street Samplers at the moment. I can't give you a favourite horror movie as I am a big wimp and the give me nightmares 😂 hope you don't hold that against me 😉. Keep up the fab videos
I'm sorry I had to pick such a hard question to answer, It's incredibly difficult to take all the beautiful patterns and designers out there and choose a favorite. My favorites always change as well, usually depends on what I'm working on at the moment. And I won't hold your wimpyness against you :-D Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment! Happy stitching :-)
Joan Elliot..cause she seems to design so many differnt style design..love Robins ..sign of spring in my state..scary movie for me..nightmare on Elm street..
We get robins as a sign of spring here as well, their song is so happy. So far I haven't seen any yet this year, but I've noticed that the jack rabbits are starting to change color. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Great taste, I have several Joan Elliot patterns, I really need to stitch one of them one day. Friday the 13 was a great movie as well! I really need to indulge myself in a horror movie weekend!
I'd love to see that unboxing! I'm super fond of seagulls, though, they're derpy little things and my wife gets adorably happy to see them. Cloudsfactory.net has some super adorable modern pop culture stuff. And I'm a huge weenie when it comes to horror movies, but a classic Bela Lugosi Dracula never goes unappreciated around here.
I am going to try to salvage my unboxing video today while at work, hopefully now that TH-cam is co-operating with me again it can be done! I actually have a bit of a fondness for magpies my self, they are extremely loud and vocal, but I do think they are incredibly smart. I love Cloudsfactory charts as well, they are super cute and make for cute, faster finishes! I have to admit, I've never seen the original Dracula, I'll have to add it to my list, but I love watching old Vincent Price movies! Thank you for watching and commenting!
beautiful video and progress as always ... can you tell me about the edmar threads and whats the different between the forest and the other kinds ... if i want to stitch with them what should i order ? and how many strands you stitch with ... my fav designer is joan elliott .. and my fav bird is Turaco i found it in africa and just love it 💖
I just looked up a turaco, Super cute! Here is a link to the different Edmar threads www.edmar-co.com/catalog/threads/threadweights.html the difference is in the plys and weight of each one. I usually stitch it as it comes, but for some of the backstitching in my Butterfly Chatelaine I have separated the plys giving it a bit finer, more delicate look. And for the black cats in my Halloween Chatelaine I used 2 strands of the edmar because I found the coverage to not be sufficient with a single strand. I hope this helps. Thank you for commenting and watching! Happy stitching!
Long time subscriber here, I love your videos. I just recently started kitting up my first chatelaine "Egypt Garden Mandala" Probably won't get it started until next year. But that's OK as I have 12 WIPS in front of it. (Ha ha) Anyway my favorite designer is Teresa Wentzler. I have been collecting her patterns since 1995 and I have them all. So far I have only started one, Camelot Sampler. She designs mostly fantasy type charts - dragons etc. If your a fan of blended threads and one over one stitching she's the best (IMHO)!!! You can find several of her patterns on www.patternsonline.com (under: TW Designworks) She's retired now and doesn't design anymore. I watch FlossTube on my TV through my ROKU device which doesn't allow me to write comments, but it does allow me to give a thumbs up. I hope to see more progress from you in the next few weeks!!!! Happy Stitching....
Ooh, I love the Egypt Mandala, I'm impressed that there's not a lot of over one stitching in it! My mom completed Teresa Wentzler's the castle many years ago and it's amazing, I always question that I'd have the patience to stitch with multiple blended threads, but we all suck it up if it something we love! lol. "Thank you for your support and comment!
The frame I use is the millennium frame from needle needs- needleneeds.co.uk/store/ I ordered the complete kit #1 for 193.74 pounds. I LOVE it. Although their products are quality, their customer service is not...I had to wait almost 6 months for my order to arrive . So I would also recommend the Omanik quantum frame which I do not personally own, but have heard very positive things about, check out Orietta's video here for a better review th-cam.com/video/bXgVHFPdqq4/w-d-xo.html Hope this helps! Happy stitching!
Maybe Firestarter on the purple fabric? Seems like people who are not flosstubers do not win...is this only for flosstubers? My favorite bird is a cardinal and my favorite horror movie is Exorcist.
I'm still deciding on what to stitch on that beautiful fabric, but I'm not in a huge hurry, when the right piece comes along I'll know. Thanks for watching :-)
Hey pretty lady! LOVE your finish! OMG, that mug! ❤ Love your new charts especially those Halloween ones. Courtney Collection is my favorite and I recently finished Knightmare. Is "The Birds" considered a horror movie? xo
Hi McKenna! I haven't seen your finish yet, but I'm sure its SPECTACULAR! I really need to catch up on your videos, I've fallen a bit behind recently. I would definitely consider the birds to be a horror movie! Thanks for always for watching!
Hi Jenn, lovely to see you again, love your videos. Your wips are beautiful! Love that Alice in Wonderland pattern, gorgeous. Happy Stitching! Ps are you on Instagram?
Hello, I do have an instagram account, but I haven't found the time to play around with it yet. I'm hoping to have some time over Easter to figure out how to use it. If your interested my name is also Miskacat1 on there as well. Do you have an account? Maybe a good place for me to start is following other people? Thanks for watching and commenting :-)

Thanks, Hopefully I'll learn a thing or two watching your account! I'll try to post some stuff soon, probably closer to Easter though so I have some time to learn it!
All your stitching is beautiful. So pleased to see you back your Butterfly Lace is looking amazing.
Thank you so much! I'm glad to be back, this community is wonderful to be part of! Happy Stitching!

Thank you, I've been missing doing my videos. Happy stitching and thank you for watching and commenting!
Good to see you
My favorite bird is the hummingbird
They are starting to reappear after a rainy winter
My favorite horror move is The Others
Hope you feel better soon
You are doing some lovely projects Jenn
Oooh I really wish I could get humming birds in my yard, I;ll try again this year though. I love the others, such a great movie with a nice "twist" at the end! Thank you for watching and commenting!
Enjoyed your video! That Rosewood Manor pattern is so pretty!! I will look forward to watching your forest grow!!!
Hi Michelle, Glad you enjoyed my video, I'm happy to be back. I'm not sure when I'll start that pattern, but it might be sooner rather than later :-D Thank you for watching and commenting. Happy stitching :-)
Welcome back! It's great to see another video from you - your projects are beautiful. :) My favorite designer is probably Nora Corbett.
Thank you! It's good to be active again in this community. Thank you for watching and commenting. I love Nora's work as well. Happy stitching!
i'm so glad you came by for a visit. i always look forward to drinking my tea and watching "my peeps" at night til bedtime.(4hours) hugs and stitches..... Bev and Teddybear :o}
Thanks for watching!
Hi Jenn, lovely update. Good to see you back again!
Hi Stephanie! It's so good to be back, it's so awesome to be part of this community! Happy stitching!
Happy you are back! Love your videos, and your wips are amazing! My favorite bird is the bald eagle, I think they are so beautiful.
Welcome back!!! So happy to see you again!
Thanks Latisha! I can't wait to watch your newest Chatelaine video! Happy stitching!
Thank you for watching and commenting :-)
l love your chanel. My favorite birds are: owls, eagles, bullfinches and cockatoos. I am in love with birds. Have a good stitching week. 🌞
Bullfinches are beautiful! Thank you for sharing, watching and commenting. Happy stitching! :-)
You're back!! Been missing your face on here. Thanks so much for the shout out and you are quite welcome for your goodies. Your stitching continues to blow me away! Talk soon 😊
Thanks Kim! I'm happy to be back!
I can't wait until I can sit on the deck and listen to the birds while stitching! Still too 'brr' at the moment but spring is coming.
Yes, I've started to notice the jack rabbits here changing color. Still no robins yet, but the squirrel and blue jays are coming around more often. So yes, spring is coming :-D
It's good to see you again. Your projects are all lovely. My favourite designer is Nora Corbett at the moment, but it changes often 😊
Thank you Orietta, Between you and Tracy P working on PBS I had to get it for myself! Your both such enablers! LOL! Happy stitching!
I love your work and your videos! Glad to see you back. I'm interested in Take Time to Stitch. My favourite designer is Mirabillia. I like the colour scheme, the use of Kreinik and beads, but most of all the fluidity of the lines in her designs.
Mirabilia's are truly works of work, I ahve yet to start a lady in fancy dress, but I'm hoping to soon, thank you for for watching and commenting :-)
Great to see you back! My fav horror movie is It. Great haul and patterns!
Thanks, Have you see the trailer for the new It? It looks supper creepy, I might break down and see it in theater, hopefully it will compare to the original. Thanks for watching and commenting. :-)
Welcome back ! You are looking really well. It's the rainbow corella for me .
Nice choice, it's a beautiful bird. Thanks for watching!
I love your video's! My favorite designer is with thy needle and thread! I like the designs and the patterns are in color.
Beautiful bird! I had to look it up, your very lucky to have them in your backyard! Thank you for watching and commenting, Happy stitching! :-)
I really like watching your videos and love your projects! My favorite bird is the cardinal. Thank you.
Thank you so much! Cardinal's are beautiful birds, I really wish we had them here! Thank you for watching and commenting
You have lovely wips! I'm so glad you're back from hiatus
My favorite bird is the Blue Jay
but I find them all pretty fascinating!
Glad your feeling better..
your wips are absolutely beautiful you have very good taste in what you stitch xx
Thank you so much, we have several bluejays that hang out in our backyard trees, I love watching them although they don't have the most pleasant song :-) Thanks for watching and commenting!
Small Town Stitcher ohhhh,,,myyyy,,,goodnesssss,,,,that chatalaine is stunning! all your pieces are epic,,,can't wait to see them done!
My favorite designer is Joan Elliott, and glad to see you back!!
Of course, you are right, Interview With a Vampire -silly me! I also like Bram Stokers Dracula, but consider that more of a romance than a horror :)
Glad you are back. Your stitching is wonderful. I don't like horror movies but like Halloween themed stitching.
Thanks Wendy for watching and commenting ;-)
My favorite horror movie.... I don't do much horror but I do love a good vampire movie and my favorite vamp movie is The Lost Boys.
Jenny Bean was so much fun to stitch! And I'm always happy to enable! Vampire movies count as "horror" as long as it's not the
Twilight series, lol!
Hahaha! I love the Harry Potter series. I could stitch and listen to the movies all day! Thanks for commenting and watching!
I love Hannah Dale's designs. My fave horror movie is good old Halloween. Thanks for the video!
I would have to say the cardinal. Love it's color and it's meaning of a angel of a lost loved one when its near.
Thanks for watching and commenting! ;-)
My favorite designer is Durene Jones :) I love David's Tea!! That mug is so cute!!
Good to see you back! :) one of my favorite horror movies is a old one with George C. Scott called The Changeling, great suspense! Xoxo Janet
Hi Janet! I've never seen the Changeling, but just read the plot on IMDB, sounds like something I need to try to track down. Thank you for the suggestion. Happy stitching!
Glad to see you back hope u are get to feeling better. My favorite design is mirabilla/Nora Corbett. My favorite horror film the shining
Good to know, I have yet to try a Drawn Thread chart yet, but hopefully will get a chance to sometime this year.
My favorite mythical bird is a phoenix and parrots are my favorite real bird. :) I like that parrots can talk with me and are so colorful.
Wonderful birds, they are both so amazing and beautiful. Thank you for watching and commenting!
just absolutely adore your Chatelaine!
You've been missed while you were away :)
My favourite bird is either the blackbird or the robin (I'm in uk). They're both so friendly and the blackbirds are clever.
I don't watch horror movies, they scare me too much!!.....I'm a wimp, but I love Halloween things :)
Carol
, '
Welcome back sweetie.
My favorite horror movie is Hellraisers and of course the Puppet Master.
Thank you, It's good to be back. You have great choice in movies, the older horrors are usually much better than the new ones that come out. Thank you for watching, Happy stitching
Welcome back, I love your updates ❤️ My favorite horror movie is The Shining.. I'm a Sucker for the classics 👍
Awesome fabric a mermaid will look amazing. My favorite horror movie is all of the Friday the 13 movies.
I know! That fabric blows me away every time I look at it! I've been pleasantly surprised to see so many classic horror movies show up in the comments, Friday the 13th included. Thank you for watching and commenting!
hello! my favorite bird is a black bird of all things lol! chatelaines are my favorite charts, for sure!
Hi Melissa, Thank you so much for watching and commenting. The chatelaines are definitely stunning when completed thats for sure. Happy stitching!
my favorite bird is the blue bird. Glade to see you back. love seeing your projects. Your Butterfly Lace is amazing?
Here's a lil poem for you about my favourite bird:
A wonderful bird is the Pelican, his beak can hold more than his belly can.
He can hold in his beak, enough food for a week
But I'll be darned if I know how the hell he can.
Love the poem! I've never heard that one before, pelicans are pretty amazing creatures. Thanks for watching and commenting!
my favorite designer is lizzie kate i have done lots of lizzie kate designs because her designs are so easy to do and fun and are my favorite.
Lizzie Kate patterns look like they would be so fun to do, I've never stitched one before, but she has some beautiful quotes that I would love to stitch one day. Thank you for watching and commenting!
hi im from kelowna bc I just picked up cross stitching after not doung it for 15 years loving it
Welcome to the club! :-) Happy stitching from a fellow Canadian :-)
hi ..i really enjoy your video...my favorites
designer...Mirabilia
bird...Cardinal..
looking forward to your next video....
I love that piece by James. I haven't seen that one yet!
Thank you, the confetti is unreal in it though!
that chatelain is so beautiful !! love it
Thank you so much, it's a lot of fun to work on. Happy stitching!
Happy stitching!
hi. love your videos. I love cardinals and The Conjuring movies.
I flipped a shit when I saw a video from you. Stoked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hahaha! Sorry for the long wait, but that comment totally made my night!!
miskacat1 I'm on hiatus too.
miskacat1 I know. I know. I want that soooooooooooooo badly.
Also - I know of a great horror movie. It's me doing gymnastics. TERRIFYING.
wonderful update, so glad to see you back.
I happen to believe all birds are beautiful but I am really drawn in by the male peacock!
Great choice! Their tails are truly spectacular! Thanks for watching and commenting!
I love chatelaine her designs r beautiful
Yes, they are stunning once they're stitched up! Thank you for watching and commenting!
one of my favorite designers is ink circles. and i do love the red robins a sign of spring. i'm not much into horror movies but i enjoy alien vs predator lol
Thank you! I've only ever seen the remake of village of the damned, I'm sure the original is much better! Thank you for watching and commenting
Zinnias is how i get the humming birds. i buy the big bag of Zinnias as Walmart for $5.97
Good to know! Thanks for the tip, I'll pick up a bag this year and try it :-)
My favorite horror movie is Halloween. I'm old school! :)
I love Jeannette Douglas. I took her Craftsy class and bought a few things from her and she provided the best personal service.
I got to meet Jeannette a year ago at a stitch retreat, she is an amazing person! I honestly can't say enough good things about her. happy stitching!
Congratulations Faye Harris- You've won The chart by Jeannette Douglas!
Not sure how to send you a private message with my info.
Could you email me your info? My email is msjennreimer@hotmail.com I'll get the chart out to you as soon as possible! Thanks and Congratulations! :-)
miskacat1 and thanks I am excited to win.
My favorite designer at the moment is long dog and I don't do horror movies lol
Long Dog has some beautiful samplers! One day I will find a spot in my rotation for one. Thank you for watching and commenting! Happy stitching!
Hi, My fav designer is Joan Elliot,my fav bird is a cardinal and my fav horror movie is the first Friday the 13th.
Best wishes
Happy stitching!
the colors looks amazing cant wait to try them ... thank you
They are a bit slippery to use, but they are incredibly shiny and look beautiful once your stitches are in. :-)
My mom completed Teresa Wentzler's the castle many years ago and it's amazing, I always question that I'd have the patience to stitch with multiple blended threads, but we all suck it up if it something we love! lol. "Thank you for your support and comment!
my favorite bird is a chickadee
Thanks Brenda, I have tons of chickadee that hangout in my backyard trees, thank you for watching :-)
The frame next to you can you tell me where you got it and for how money
Thanks for watching :-)
favorite horror movie( the exorcist )
The exorcist is one of my favorites as well. Thanks for watching and commenting. Happy Stitching :-)
Robin red breast,
Really enjoyed watching your video.
Thank you for watching and commenting, I'm glad you enjoyed my video :-D
Hi Jenn, lovely to see you again, love your videos. Your wips are beautiful! Love that Alice in Wonderland pattern, gorgeous. Happy Stitching! Ps are you on Instagram?
Hello, I do have an instagram account, but I haven't found the time to play around with it yet. I'm hoping to have some time over Easter to figure out how to use it. If your interested my name is also Miskacat1 on there as well. Do you have an account? Maybe a good place for me to start is following other people? Thanks for watching and commenting :-)
Hi Jenn, I will look you up on Instagram. I do have an account, my name is anitchtocrossstitch instagram is great to see other peoples stitching and of course to get enabled!! It's nice to follow people's progress on their wip's. I hope you have a lovely Easter.

Hi Jenn, I accepted your request! Look forward to following your beautiful stitching!
Thanks, Hopefully I'll learn a thing or two watching your account! I'll try to post some stuff soon, probably closer to Easter though so I have some time to learn it!
