I'm a fourth year and I watch vids like these to motivate me to study lol. But I wanted to say I am glad to see so many women in Civil and on top of that black women!!!
The kind of video I have been looking for, feel more empowered to meet more of my kind. Being a diploma holder in civil engineering and soon enrolling for a bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
As a civil engineering major, I’m so glad to encounter your channel *tears* Love your vlogs and the interactions with your friends! You just gain a new sub :, )
So cool seeing another youtuber studying civil engineering! Really cool seeing the similarities even though I'm studying in Canada - I literally had the same consolidation lab lol😂Just subscribed!
Currently now I'm in 7th sem in civil engineering and your video just recap my memory all about air, water solid stuff and hydraulics.. uff I hate that subject
LOL can we discuss Structural Analysis and the pain it causes 2nd Year Civils? Love the channel - can't believe I'm so late on this (PS: I also have PTSD from Year 2 Hydraulics)
Hi! I’m from Mexico and I’m in my second year. I want to ask you some questions about how’s the quality of a first-world university as yours, because I want to become as good as you will be. I have a little concern about my calculus level, I mean, I have coursed diferential and integral calculus, but being honest, if you actually give me a complex calculus problem, I will not be able to solve it. I think I have a more solid knowledge in physics, estatics and materials mecanics (I haven’t take hydraulics yet) but I don’t really know at what point is bad to not to have a very solid calculus knowledge, and what is the difference between a university in Mexico and a university in a developed country because of that. And over all, as a civil engieneer, how important is to have a very complex undertanding of calculus (As a mathematician). Sorry for my english, I hope you the best, you look like a really nice person. Saludos desde México!
Hellooo, I wouldn't worry too much, people have their strong suits! Im not the best in calculus but it has improved so much being at uni and that's the good thing, there's alot of help and resources out there!
Did you have to create a portfolio to get into your school that does civil engineering with architecture? I know you dropped the industry and architecture part but was just curious if you needed any creative backgrounds in a portfolio to get in. Thanks again and keep up the good content! 🧡
Thank you & no when I applied for Civil Engineering with Architecture, I did not need a portfolio. If you do just Architecture I think you do need one :)
Hello! I’m a fresh in MSc Maritime engineering. I wander if you have any friend who is in this major ? Well, I just curious about their every day lives.
I just wondered if there were no civil engineering student who has a channel and I searched and found you, lol I just read your description and I am reading a topic under Soil Mechanics \
Heyyyy I have problems with statics , do you have any advise for me !? 🥺 I love you by the way , you give me a lot of motivation to study and be better 💕
Heyyy, thank you :) Yes statics, I lowkey liked that module, I'd say a big thing that helped me was doing the same type of questions over and over again until I got it, there's a logical pattern and once you get it, you can apply it to similar questions. It really and truly just doing as many questions and worked examples as you can till you understand it. Hope that helped :)
Your notes are pretty! BTW, which driving institution did you go? And how you think of it? I am going to choose one soon in Southampton, definitely need some advice. Thank you!
The Virtuous Life Thank you for your reply! I am considering AA, because I saw them most around the campus and city 😂. Do you have any friend who signed up there?
I’m in year 12 doing biology, chemistry and geography for alevels, do you think i can find and get accepted onto a civil engineering course with my alevels i chose or would i need to do a foundation degree to get on
These universities require A level maths, so I think your only option is to take that foundation year, I'd did the same and it's working out great, hope that helped and goodluck.
@@andileandile288 In my university, you must at least get B for the subject during diploma ( if you from diploma) to cut the subject (for the same field) in degree

Be prepared to be absolutely destroyed by student from other engineering types.

I can’t even wake up in time to get to lectures let alone have a whole face mask 😍 inspiration for us all 😂
ahhaa I try Xenia, thank you!
This is such an inspiration because I aspire to change the world through civil engineering ❤️
Thank you so much!!
dayum your handwriting is clean af!
You make my notes look like toilet paper.
aha no don't say that lol
😂😆👍
We love to see another video by you i'm literally telling all my civil friends about you ahaha
Yay! Thank you!
This is literally the most perfect video because I want to go here and study civil THANK U
Thank you very much!
I like the Obanai picture, also I study civil and its great, hope that motivates you further.
I'm loving these consistant uploads 🙌
Glad you like them!

@@virtueigbokwuwe you’re welcome 🥰

Can't wait!
Interesting. We did Fluid Flow in 1st year and it covers hydraulics. I just finished 2nd year in ChemEng
Same here. Just finished Chemeng second year and we had a fluids module which include hydraulics, transport phenomena and particles
ahh I see, yh hydraulics is a 2nd year module for us
Thank you so much for posting , there’s not many civil engineering students that blog.
No worries!!

aha Structral Analysis man, had me on ropes aha. Just glad it is all over for now
I literally had to do the paper twice.....glad it's done. Now in my final semester fourth year.
the amount of grants colleges are receiving putting the likes of you in university. thats the only reason your being accepted.
your notes are so clean

Okay but my mum watched this before me . Love these videos v x
Thanks princess x

Hi, I'm thinking about doing Civil Eng and was wondering what your timetable looks like? (Also luv ur vids) And what would i look out for?
Which school are you please?
I love ur videos sm
Thank you!!!
Do you write your notes that neat during lecture time? They look very good.
Yeah I do, but it’s so hard because they talk so fast, sometimes I rewrite it when I get back home!
Yo do you know anyone doing marine biology and their opinion on it?
What laptop would you recommend for a freshman in civil engineering?
you are not on lockdown?
i miss school
This was filmed in Feb, before lock down aha

How many hours do you study per day in university?
Some unis don't require physics for civil engineering, are they any students who didn't do physics and found the course manageable?
Yeah defo, in fact a lot did not do physics!
great video
.. i am 3rd year of civil engineering from india .
This was great V xD

Is there a lot of chemistry in civil eng.?
not a lot, had 1 chemistry module in first year
i see.. is it cuz we hvnt choose the specialisation yet during first year? oh and Thank You!!😁✨✨
are all lecture recorded?
Majority of them are!
Any advice for first year students😅
i’m think about being a civil engineer buuut how important is physics bc ya girl ain’t doing too well 😅
classic mechanics is about 90% of the degree so you might wanna get a head start on that :)
You funny your friends 🤣
Got a 95 on hydraulics, don’t ask me how, lmao
U are spicial youtuper 🥳💘
Thank you!!
What a levels did u take!
Maths, Physics and Product Design
I find interesting there’s so many females on civil engineering, normally you wouldn’t see many, 5 max
