Does anyone remember that during when Series 3 was airing that ITV had a game on their website that led you be an ARC member and you were working for secret for Eve when in fact we were working for Helen.
Umm... why do the ARC crew care about Christine Johnson? Fine, they don't like letting anyone die but surely they don't care enough to give up the artefact to Helen?
I would imagine Lester would have a lot of explaining to do if he allowed her to die inside the ARC in a hostage situation, especially right after several incidents having occured within the ARC itself.
@@giftheck Yes but they're not just letting her die cuz they hate her. If we imagine the artefact was missile codes or something, there'd be no explaining to do. Hostage situations are really poorly handled on TV to begin with. It’s a bit contrived because when Leek held Cutter hostage Lester was prepared to let him die, which is actually rather realistic. So it seems odd they’d forget they did that and play it straight here. Her life isn’t more important than giving a WMD to a terrorist.

I think series 1 was the best. It was lacking in overall production quality but it was the only one with mystery and tension. After that it was just Doctor Who meets Jurassic Park. Series 2 was the worst, just a mess of bad action set pieces and one-liners that threw every established character out the window (except Lester I guess) and turned them into shit James Bond wannabes. And Helen and Leek's plan was beyond ridiculous. Series 3 was a big improvement on Series 2 (and I guess you can only drag out a mystery for so long). I actually liked the whole ARC/Christine/Helen conflict, even though Helen's plan was really stupid once again: "we create the future predators who wipe out mankind so to stop it I'm going to wipe out mankind..." Also it's a shame the whole altering the present thing got dropped. In S1 E6, minor deviations caused changes in the present and erased one of the main characters. As unlikely as that is, it posed an interesting and unique threat that set Primeval above other monster of the week shows (and also explained why they do all the Benny Hill stuff instead of just shooting the creatures). But in later series they kill off creatures without a second thought and Helen even wipes out most of humanity's ancestors without any consequence in the present. +Irfan King Because there was nowhere left to go with the story?
@CazGamingUltra No. That's the ignoramus' view of mental illness: "if one thing's wrong with the brain then I guess anything else could be too". There's no excuse for Helen's idiotic plans; it's plain bad writing.
@@Robert399 Robert R Helen didn't want to wipe out humanity because she wanted to prevent the future predators from killing all humans but because the predators killed almost all life on earth and humanity was responsible for wars, pollution etc. Plus she was crazy because she knew way too much about the future than anyone should know. Of course CLAUDIA BROWs fate had been changed but it had been fun if the actress LUCY BROWN had the change to play both personas in some kind of a LIMBO between the Universes. Had been fun to listen to a conversation between the both Personas Lucy Brown had played on the show.
Series 3 would have explained it if the actor who play Nick stayed in the show till the end of series 3. Helen really did cause a lot of problems for the Ark team after this. Killing Johnson and getting Danny, Connor and Abby stuck in the past. Getting Sarah Killed which all ended up the Prime Minister to close the Ark down for 3 months and then a dinosaur rampage though the House of Commons. Yeah she course a lot of problems for this team.
