A fungus that could corrupt the host and essentially become one would be quite beneficial for the fungi's species. A moveable parent could spread the offspring to a wide array of areas and essentially be a better version of the seed mechanism most plants have today.
@@gayxenomorph5306 I mean, given enough time yeah. There's similar things, and the fungus may or may not live 500 Million years in the future, so it has time for this.
In a way very understandable why she quitts. The professor is gone and she had slipped more often through the fringers of the grimm reaper´as is humanly possible. Her fools luck had to end someday and think why she was hired in the first place; to fullfill some "peacefull " public realations and image job for the Arch. THIS what she was doing now is far beyond her contract. So I understand why she went if that was for real.

It's some form of fungus from the future. It appears in Primeval season 3 episode 5, when an assistant of a businessman goes into anomaly, which sends him to the future. He looks at the fungus, and it sprays him with spores. He coughs up some before falling back into the anomaly, which closes shortly after. His boss touches the fungus, turns into this, and then the main cast chases him around for the episode before this fight. Also some other guy gets infected too. This is one of the infected people, controlled by the fungus. That's all we know, but from the hot air in the future that it needs to survive and the strange fungus, some people theorized it lives 500 million years in the future, when the sun is about 4.5% hotter. The earth will range on average 18-37 Degrees Celsius, or like the Cretaceous. This is also supported by us never seeing flowers in this future, as by this point carbon dioxide levels will start dropping and plants dying, starting with C3 photosynthetic plants , and the first of those will be flowers.
"Well this could be tricky to explain to the next of kin, good news; he's not technically dead, bad news; he's turned into a mushroom."

Do you think it would be possible for something like that to exist?
@@gayxenomorph5306 well, Cordyceps are a thing so maybe through constant evolutionary changes the process of combining with the host can be revised.
