@@ulfberht4431 I always thought they forgot about this and made Connor forget Tom and Duncan as we never saw Duncan again after this episode but when Duncan came back and they talk about Tom, that when I knew they did not forget him.
@@harryvideoz8863 yeah I argee. I always thought this is the start of Conner development but I always Cutter death took him over. After that he start growing up and taking more responsibility and he starting to become more like Cutter. Just glad he still has Abby there with him. Oh my God this scene is beautiful, the dialogue, performances, the score its all so powerful, one of the most emotionally powerful scenes in the show and one of the best scenes of Primeval, it comes together beautifully it also raised the stakes of the story showing that people will get hurt people will dies just brilliant, long live Primeval
No, it won't. Cos in the end, you (like myself) could likely to find out that the monsters are just the icing on the cake. It's the characters in the story which define this series and why it is a brilliant show.
Such a sad death scene. It made me cry the first time i watched it. Especially when Nick came in to comfort Connor... It makes me think about how sad it was for Connor to lose Nick
We are producing a Stop Motion Animation for the 10th Anniversary of Primeval, called Primeval X, featuring original characters. Obviously, not being live action, it may not be the new Primeval episode we would love, but we intend to capture the tone of the series, in our marketing, writing, branding, and production of the special. You can find out more here: theprimevalsite.weebly.com/primeval-x
The way cutter comforts connor at the end was undoubtedly one of the best moments from all of primeval, because he seemed kinda like a father to him in a way, also in series 3 when connor carries cutter out of the A.R.C. 😢
I teared up when I first saw this scene. A bit embarrassing for a thirteen year old, but then again I'm only human. It still gets me a little bit now. I can only imagine how much Connor's heart broke in this scene, I have three best friends who I love to the moon and back and honestly don't know what I would do if I lost any of them in any way.
@homelesshannah50 That’s ridiculous lol, this show doesn’t hold a candle to The Sopranos, Breaking Bad, Mad Men etc. I loved this show as a kid but this isn’t even the best the UK has to offer and has plenty of cheesy and heavy handed scenes
The show was amazing, even a while after I saw it, it was my favorite for years after, Tom's death was the first thing in the series that actually made me cry, the emotion, it was hard to think it was just actors.
What it makes it sadder is that he felt like a "nobody" and this made him feel like he accomplished something. When he whispers "I'm a hero" that got me in the feels
This is one of the best scenes from the earlier seasons in my opinion. In other shows Connors friends would be the comic relief characters but instead they killed off Tom a few episodes after he first appeared. It really surprised me but I love how unexpected it was. I was sure they would be able to save him in time but they didn't. It marks the moment for Connor to realise that what they are doing is not just some fun but dangerous and people he loves could be dragged into this and die. This and Beths death in later seasons made me just fall in love with Primeval. Our heroes aren't always in time to save the day. That sets Primeval apart for me from other shows.
When people ask why this silly show appeals to me, I tell them to watch this scene and this episode. The show is more about creatures coming through time to wreck havoc, it’s about friendship, loss, preserving and fighting for the greater good
Not quite. His Series 1 Figure is based on how he appeared in Series 1 - Episode 6. And his Series 2 Figure is based on his appearance in Series 2 - Episode 4.
Here i am, drunk out of my mind... crying to myself over Primeval remembering the good old days of Connor Temple, Nick Cutter and Doctor who, I wish anyone that reads this the best of luck and happiness in they're life
6 months later I'm back remembering the old days of being young and happy but then life gets in the way for the lot of us, i hope whoever is reading this is happy and healthy that's all i wish for
I know its only been a month... it feels like its been longer tbh but oh well huh? we are all still alive and well that's all that matters, i hope who ever sees this is happy with life right now and cozy hopefully , lets get some dinosours back in the real world huh?
This was horrible. Amazing to see in a cheesy scify show. So tragic and surprisingly powerful. 'That would've made his day', dude that line breaks me. Amazing performance from all of them. Especially Andrew
After this Connor looks like he forgot Duncan so I thought the writers forgot about his friendship with Tom and Duncan but after they brought him back that when I knew they never forgot him.
How the hell is it this side character who showed up for a handful of episodes in Season 1 had a more emotional death scene than a good majority of other movies and shows? Like, this show is silly and cheesy at times, but scenes like this prove both the gravity of the whole premise and reveal that at the end of the day the creators know what they're doing. Goddamn
I think it was because the writers cared about their characters that they make and also it probably because he was a friend of Connor. One of the main characters and it showing how we develop to like him and feel sorry for him.
Poor Tom 😢 he would’ve been a legendary edition to the ARC Team maybe if he had lived and gotten involved things would’ve turned out better for the crew
I wonder why Conner did not move in with his surviving body. After all rents are expensive in London and the type had been glad if Connor had taken over part of it. At least that had been the realistic solution
That little “brilliant” from Connor. His friend had no idea what he’d gotten himself into. But once he was out of it near enough knew exactly what was happening. All because he was a nerd. Just like Connor. He knew his friend was right & he wanted that for him
In a way such was done with the Parasite killing Connor´s friend and in the episode about the Prehistoric Scorpions where Stephen got the sting and needed an antidot
The only part I didd not cared for had been Conno s other boddy who could not understand that their !spying game " had juristical consequences for him That actor had been put much better in scene in the following up sequel of that episode in the later sason.

Well they were not as good as the first 3 series. They were still interesting and great. Yeah I was not pleased with the 4th one but I still liked it because I was still interested with the episodes and creatures and the story line and the character development. Like with Conner and Abby characters who went through a big transformation during the 3rd and 4th series and became a couple. 2 people I been wanting to get to together since series 1. Series 5 was much better though in my opinion.
I never cared for both friends of Connor. Both had been classical loosers. I wonder were the script writers took there models for them those chaots are totaly surreal
This show is so good. Even the death of a character we barely new was incredibly moving and powerful.
It’s not that we barely knew Tom, it’s how much of a friend Tom was to Connor. You can tell by their dialogue how much of friends they were.
@@ulfberht4431 I always thought they forgot about this and made Connor forget Tom and Duncan as we never saw Duncan again after this episode but when Duncan came back and they talk about Tom, that when I knew they did not forget him.

I always loved the piano music they made for primeval
the cat in the picture looks like my 2 cats
It wasn’t piano music in the background the music is very dramatic and fast
I love all the music, - Dominik Scherrer did a fantastic job!
Such a sad death scene. It made me cry the first time i watched it. Especially when Nick came in to comfort Connor... It makes me think about how sad it was for Connor to lose Nick
The dialogue makes it even more emotional. Coupled with some fantastic acting from Andrew Lee Potts and Jake Curran.
And don't forget that impeccable score!
This series was one of the best i ever had the pleasure of watching.. i
still have high hopes they will continue it one day... before i die..
