    You have such a knack for picking fabric colors that suit your coloring so well! I'm looking forward to seeing which item you make!

      Thank you, that is such a compliment! I did have my colors done a couple years ago, so now I am all about sticking to that palette…can be limiting, but also helps not buy fabrics I wouldn’t end up wearing 😂

    You managed to share some different garment patterns and I really like your fabric and pattern matches. Look forward to seeing your reveal. Almost finished my make. I had to do some fun mixing to get it out of some linen remnants. I love how this challenge pushes you to look at fabrics in a new light.

    Thank you for your video! I am really considering making the Peppermint x In the Folds Wrap Top in a thinner Cotton, especially since it calls for French seams. I prefer hand sewing anyway and French seams make a Cotton item look a lot better anyway.

    Hi, Great idea to have complete set of garments to mix and match :)
    I made peppermint wrap top with 44" wide cloth. Wrap ties were cut separately and joined using French seam. This is very easy to sew also :)
    I absolutely love this wrap top :)

    I love flat felled seams😊 I love French Seams too.
    I think this is the first video I’ve watched about the challenge that covered the requirements for the challenge as well as you did. You gave a little attention to each of the 4 instead of flying through them.
    Speaking of wrapped patterns, do you feel you get enough wrap in the garment that when you sit, the top or dress doesn’t separate to a point of being concerned of showing more that you want? I want to make a wrap dress, but I’m concerned about when I sit the dress is going to split way up my leg. I’m over 60 and really don’t want to flash anyone! 😳
    Thanks,
    Cheryl

    • @WanderingBobbin
      @WanderingBobbin  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Flashing people is definitely not the way to go at any age 😂 I actually haven't made a wrap dress before, only tops, but in ready to wear, yeah, I have had that where it is not wrapped enough. I just try to make it work and add a little snap on wrap tops so it doesn't fall open or for a dress, wear a slip. Sometimes I feel like the ties aren't long enough too, but I guess that doesn't really affect the amount of wrap. I don't really know how to alter a pattern for that, but it would definitely be a useful thing to learn...eventually...
