For more videos and news visit the coachinglibrary... website. Boomers coach Brett Brown demonstrates through a clinic what the Cutthroat Defense Drill is.
He did a great job as the head of youth development for the spurs. I had the pleasure to watch him compete with Noel and develop his shot. I have a lot of respect for this guy.
this coach is so good. The aim of the D always has to be to take away the high percentage shot and the easiest option. A shot from the top of the key is low percentage. Only few players can get up to 40%. Whereas the layup or jumpshot close to the basket is much higher percentage. So your D has to force the O into a low percentage option. And no team is better than the Spurs in doing just that. I dont even think they pay that much attention to superstars or the go-to-guys. I guess they stick to their game plan and force players into bad shots. And when your core stays together over years you know each other inside out. Guess why Dirk is staying with the Mavs? He is comfortable with the way they play and their system. Another important thing is. You can only run this type of play when all the involved players have got quick feet. As soon as one element drops out, you lose!
Great, Great, Great. Its the little things you pointed out that are extremely important. Its what you emphasize when you teach which I thought was great.
TH-cam commenters who've never made it to a professional level of playing of basketball putting down an NBA level coach whose taught for more than a decade. Pathetic.
Yeah ! Welcome to Philly, Brett. Hopefully your real coaching genius will shine through in your second year here, AFTER we tank in the 2013 - 2014 season to get either A. Wiggins, or Julius Randle, then you'll really have something to work with beginning in your second season.
Hi there, have you considered Spovelax Training Program yet? Just simply do a google search. On there you will find a great guidelines about how you can become a better player. Why not give it a shot? perhaps it will work for you too.
He's a good teacher. Collins was as well...but hopefully Brown won't get tuned out too early. I don't think he's the type to ride his players during the game like Collins did though.
this is why the spurs are beating the heat. miami's gotta run the diamond drill more and put lebron on the baseline in the ray allen position, otherwise the spurs arent gonna keep bottling him up off the pick n roll
Anybody know what is Spovelax Training Program about? I hear many individuals become a better player with Spovelax Training Program (just search it on google).
I read many superb opinions on the internet about how Spovelax Training Program (look on google search engine) will help you to improve your skills, has any one tested out this popular popular training program?
28:46 Coach Brown's going to start a comedy show pretty soon-oops, I meant #5 white jersey. He's the same moron playing with the net instead of staying on his man. Really? The ball wasn't even live and he still can't keep up! 24:50

They are professional pop-corn eaters though... ;)
Takes your shell drill to a whole different level !
wow. quality vid and great to see an insight into our head coach's style
looks like the FIBA WABC global coaching clinic. i attended the recent one in Wellington NZ. it was awesome
thats why i hope my sixers hire him
amazing coaching
Great video for coaches! Thanks for sharing.
22:52 WOW. That #22 traveled so bad he got the cameraman fired by making him express his awe. He stammered, too! :-0
Outstanding competitive drills
I really like this
thanks a lot

No wonder sixers has such a good defense this season
23:03 Coach Brett Brown should've said, "...and stupid shot!" after saying, "Good block!"
Excellent

Its gold

The shell drill we do the samething
Tekao star at 11 minute mark to 15 min.
Then 23:30 minute mark to 30:45 mark. It's basic man to man defense.
Awesome

18:48 "The Telephone Booth" haha
I would like to ask, why does the coach use 4v4 only not 5v5? Thankyou
Because he had 12 players and wanted to have 3 teams.

Legit
SIXERRRSSSS
did i say it was awesome? sorry i meant it was awesome
Why so Seeeerrrrious, lol.
🤣
Yeah that would be considered out of bounds
Someone will be open. The person that drives can just pass it and then shoot a three. Easy as that. I dont get this
I thought that too. doing this it will give up something and that is the 3..Confused?
You want to force them to shoot from outside

you will not win a game shooting 3pt from the corner man...
You can win several games shooting corner threes, ask the Spurs who shoot more than any other team in the NBA!!
Ask the 2013 Spurs about that.
