Metacognition and Self Regulation are now the top strategies for impact in the EEF Toolkit, with a possible 7 months’ additional progress if used effectively. Metacognition and Self Regulation are especially critical in the early years.
These three twilight sessions focus on Self Regulation and Metacognition in the EYFS.
They explore how the seven recommendations of the EEF guidance report apply to Early Years, drawing on research and case studies of excellent practice.
They draw together evidence-informed guidance for applying these strategies in early literacy, play, implementation and developing colleagues. With gap tasks that enable you to audit and action plan for your own context, this training will support you to identify and build on strengths as well as target development areas in your practice.
