Professor Herb Ginsburg: Maths Storybook Workshop
In this webinar, Professor Ginsburg discusses how we can help children to learn maths creatively and enjoyably with carefully-selected picture books. He explores the research behind the approach and considers how we might engage parents and carers in supporting their children's early learning.
Professor Ginsburg has supported our work at East London Research School in this area. You can read more about our thinking in this short blog by Fliss James: researchschool.org.uk/news/using-picture-books-to-promote-high-quality-conversations-in-maths-the-shrec-approach

Dear Dr. Grenier, Thank you for sharing this on TH-cam. I have a question about subitising in this talk. On 41:58, what does "rhythmic and auditory patterns" means mentioned by Fliss? I tried to look for some examples, but couldn't quite understand. Could you give some examples? Thank you so much! Best wishes.
