I can totally relate to J Mac. I didn't make the varsity team. Not even the JV squad. I was put on the sub varsity team. Lowest of the low. Did that stop me? God no. God himself could not stop me. I was in the weight room and on the court every day. I went to the varsity practice and the sub varsity practice every day. When the first game of the season, I was rampant. Unrelenting. The King of the court. At the end of the game, my stats were unmatched. 44 points 4-4 on 3's, 15-15 inside the ark 2-2 on the stripe. Along with 6 blocked shots, 5 steals, and only committing 2 fouls. I did that on almost every single game. I proved myself worthy. To top it all off, I was given the nickname of the left-handed assassin.

Maybe they should have played him his whole high school? If he had that performance in him...his "touch" on the last 3 is silky smooth.

The other team was letting him shoot man. And he was 5'6"...in a big high school. So...no man. Just no. It's a great uplifting story.

@@1TotalJabroniHonestly I think I saw some defense and I know damn well I wouldn't have made any of those shots even if I was open. Not only that but if short players can play in the NBA then I don't think it is too far fetched that he could have been productive in HS over a longer period than one game.

I agree, imagine if he’d been allowed to play more. I think having an autistic bent gives those a robotic like operation where they can dial in and super focus on a task at hand

Plot twist, he would’ve been the next Steph Curry but was never given a chance to play until the very end of senior year

I am old enough to vividly remember the Miracle on Ice.....this story is on the same level. One of the greatest sports stories of all time.
