The fact that Walt is his brother in law is the reason why he doesn't even think to suspect him. I think he would already connected the dots if Walt was a stranger.

I felt like Jesse painting walls of his house while Walt is going on rant about Gus and basically pitching that he should kill him was an illustration of their relationship. Jesse trying to pull out and start over from the clean slate and Walter dragging him back in the game.

Gus met Gale at his apartment because it was a quick, almost unplanned visit. He needed to find out from Gale how quickly he would be able to reproduce the Blue Sky meth by observing Walt's cooks. He needed to be rid of Walt as soon as possible before Walt would be able to get ready to defend himself.
At least that's how I interpreted the reason for Gus visiting Gale at his home.

And I don't think any of them, including His, ever expected in a million years that Walt and Jesse would be capable of just murdering Gale. I mean, look at Mike's reaction in the laundromat when he realizes that's what Walt told Jesse to do on the phone. So, Gus never imagined his visit to Gale would become part of a murder investigation.

Walt's destruction of the car is him lashing out at the loss of control he has in his life right now. He feels like he's under the thumb of Gus. He can't get out from under it. He can't enjoy the money he's made. He can't have any authority over Jesse anymore. He's really frustrated right now and it's causing him to act up in irrational and even violent ways. I also think he's a little bit of an adrenaline/power junky. He wants to be the bad boy. He wants to be respected and feared. He's gotten a taste of it and he likes it.

Although everything you said is true and makes sense I think he destroyed the car simply because he thinks if he (or his son) can’t have the car because of his wife than he would rather no one have the car than give the car back to the dealer.

"About time" Aw Jesse :( It's admirable that he's one of the few people in the show that contentiously holds himself accountable and refuses to forgive himself for his shitty actions, but also this amount of self loathing isn't healthy and just ends in a downward spiral. This season is so spicy I can't wait for the next couple of eps

That IS one of the best endings to an episode of drama tv that I have ever seen in my life. Just chills run down your spine and your mouth opens and jaw drops. The thing that is amazing is that you think the scene is going to end at a couple of prior points, but Hank just keeps going on and on and pulling out and pointing to more evidence...and then he drops the mic with the fingerprints in Gale Boetticher's apartment....Just masterful.

    Podcast Notes: Problem Dog
Guests: Co-exec producer Melissa Bernstein; Betsy Brandt (Marie); Dean Norris (Hank), Writer & Director Peter Gould; Exec Producer Michelle MacLaren
    1. Re: 4x06 - the women from Honduras - 2 of them (Maria L Pardo & Veronica Jaquez) actually worked in the laundry, the other (the blonde, named Celia Anaya) was an actor who came in for the acting call. Celia spoke much more English than the 2 women who worked for the laundry. Their part in the scene was largely ad libbed
    2. Peter is primarily a writer & had only directed one thing prior to this episode
    3. The writers imitate the characters in the writers room 😆
    4. The video game (RAGE) & the Dodge Jr had were both product placement. The game was being launched around the time the episode aired...they shaped some parts of the game to Peter’s desires (there was a graphic element added to the game for attentive BB viewers)
    5. The sequence with the car took a full day to shoot (would’ve been 1-2 weeks were it a movie). Bryan wanted to do some of the driving, but it would’ve cost them time, so he relented.
    6. They had 3 Dodge Challengers to use. The one that they blew up, they had purchased - usually, they’d try to get a water damaged one, but those are now given to the military. They sold off many of the parts to defray some of the $. So, it was a shell, but a shell of a brand new car that they blew up. The other 2 were rented.
    7. The actual chicken farm was being demolished, so there was a lot of work behind the scenes with the property owners and the demolition company to delay & only tear down certain parts until they finished shooting

He just needed for someone to acknowledge that not everything is acceptable, that some things are just wrong. The counselor at the meetings is the most underrated, understated, and least mentioned great performance in the whole entire show, along with Jane's dad. I mean, in such a small role, that guy BECOMES the counselor. He IS the counselor. The way he plays off of Aaron Paul from the get go up until this episode is superb. This is a guy who ran over his own kid while rushing to the liquor store before it closed, and now he's a reformed mentor to other addicts just trying to mean well and humble himself....One example of how good his understated performance is is when Jesse says "Im supposed to accept", and without the camera on him, you hear him immediately say "it's a start" in the most realistic responsive way.

Problem Dog, the title, also refers to how Gus is training Jesse like a dog. He sees "loyalty" (a dog's most famous trait) in him, and ever since the Victor incident, when Jesse showed no fear, and Jesse didn't back down but instead leaned forward like a growl, Gus picked up on that and views Jesse like a dog- a problem dog who needs training. I'm rewatching the show right now and just picked up on that. At least in my opinion that can be a meaning. I never heard VG talk about that, but I'm sure it can be implied. Jesse is a problem dog.

The progression of Nikki’s anger towards Walt about the car is entertainment at its best. As she got angrier and angrier I was sure she was going to scream louder when he got ready to blow up the car, but her anger passed the ‘yelling stage’ straight to ‘speechless, silent, fed up anger’ stage. 😂 good stuff

I think you're seeing Walt using a extremes to cope with the extreme stress he's under.
I mean, he's gone through all of this to make money, and now he's not allowed to spend his money? He's... lashing out and frustrated. What's the point in everything he's done, if he can't enjoy the fruits of all his labors, blood, sweat, tears, and especially fears. This new life is constantly terrorizing him and he's constantly trying to fight it, to hide it, and when he feels cornered to defeat/kill it.
So not being able to buy and enjoy nice things after all this... it's driving him a little wild.
Jesse, meanwhile... man, he's still basically going through the grieving process. Not only for Gale whom he regrets killing, for also for himself, who has crossed lines he never thought he could, and so in a sense he's also grieving and mourning over the loss of himself. Or rather, the loss of who he used to be. And he's trying hard to find an excuse to believe that he's still... him. And not really changed.
Psychologically, it makes quite a bit of sense for them to be acting like they do.

If you had any doubt about Hank being a good cop that last scene should lay them to rest. He literally put together the whole connection with Gus all by himself.
Every talks about how good Bryan Cranston's (Walt) acting on this show, and it is great. But I always feel like Aaron Paul's (Jesse) was somewhat overlooked. There are some scenes were his portrayal of Jesse barely able to contain his emotions is just incredible. Jesse goes through so much and we always see him going from constantly uneasy to scenes were he can barely stop from crying his eyes out. Aaron Paul just nails the performance so perfectly.
I really loved Nikki getting angry and Walt as if she was directly channeling Skyler's emotions.

Church! That scene when Jesse unloads all his guilt on the group (of course substituting a sweet innocent dog for Gale) including what he had been doing to the group itself, that was pretty powerful stuff. And I think as far as Gus is concerned, he only slipped up because Hank took several wild guesses and clandestinely got Gus' fingerprint and found a match to one of the unknown prints at Gale's apartment. Hank's intuition, it turns out, was on point. Oops for Gus.

seriously, is this your first video you've watched? When Jesse does something we don't like we make it known... go back to him screwing around in the lab episode. Walt actions have been insanely dumb... that was no longer his car and should have been locked up for blowing it up. Insane lack of judgement. You think Jesse is a "punk bitch" because he got blackmailed into a world he doesn't belong in and can't get out of without dying? He shot a guy in the face and has had many people around him killed. It's an insane thing to think of someone that way considering the amount of trauma the dude has been though. -S

Talking about Walt Jr's car, there is a fan theory that Braking Bad is a prequel to The Walking Dead explained in the speculation that Walter's blue meth caused the zombie pandemic. Also, besides that connection, the red 2009 Dodge Challenger that Walter bought for Walter Jr. and then blew up appeared in a handful of The Walking Dead installments. Steven Yeun's character Glenn Rhee famously took it for a ride, and Glenn was the name of the salesman that Walter returned the car to in Breaking Bad. Viewers never saw his face, so it would be a reach to assume that he was the same person.
