@Nevi1097 Yeah tbh Jesse would´ve been much better off working for Gus. Like Walt is the main character and we´re supposed to root for him but...like 9 times out of 10 Walt is the reason for Jesse´s pain.

    • @Nevi234

@@Nettles_and_Mint oh i totally agree. In my headcanon, Jesse switches loyalties to Gus and lives more or less peacefully(like mike) and Walt fucks off for good. It wouldn't be perfect, but Gus has more respect for Jesse and does a better job at lifting him up, even if it's to use for his own advantage.

I don't know much about GOT, but my friends are fucking devastated over how "The Bells" turned out, and without spoiling anything I just wanted to express my deepest condolences. I was a Dexter fan while back, so I know how it feels to have a show you love just absolutely betray you in terms of character motivations and writing... I really hope the finale on Sunday redeems itself somewhat. The episode where Jesse decided to start back cooking and Walter treated him horribly, his interactions with Gale and the previous episode where he hoped Jesse would die all showed that Walt didnt give a f* about Jesse once he found out his loyalty wasnt exclusively for Walt. It's one of the best crime scenes of all time in tv or cinema. It keeps you guessing, even though right away you have an inkling what's about to happen, but you're never a hundred percent sure until Don Eladio drops his cigar from the ground up. The music is pitch perfect. Gus kneeling down is chilling, but the filming shot from behind Gus as he walks out of the bathroom to that music is absolute perfection of filmmaking.

I love it when Jesse gets all prideful & indignant. He becomes less whipped. There's something to be said about having those "sinful" emotions revealed. It helps Jesse in the short term, at least. I think that's what Gus saw in him that day in the "Boxcutter" episode.
Nikki: "Is Gus gonna be okay, now?" Oh no! Are we back to that. 🤣
Jesse's reflex action when Mike got shot...I was so proud. {ugh} What am I saying? LOL!
btw...now I think I can mention that - I always felt that this episode reveals the real reason Gus finally said "yes" to the Don Eladio (the cartel). It wasn't because he was intimidated into it, or that he felt he needed to protect his business, but that he saw an opportunity for revenge. It was his *Don Vito Corleone* moment to avenge his family. Or maybe just a little of the first two reasons.
This is one of my favorite episodes. 😊🏝️🌺❤️

Regardless, 90% of the interactions Jesse and Walt have had have been horrible. Walt, just like hes done to most of the people in his life, has flipped Jesses life upside down. A big part of why he cared about Jesse was because Jesse is so loyal. If people are calling Walt a basic villain then theyre wrong, him not being a total sociopath doesnt make him not a villain though.

Jesse isnt innocent, but unlike Walter who had a legitimate chance to make bank working with Elliot, Jesse has zero prospects outside of dealing. Just about no ones a victim in this show, but pretending as if circumstance isnt a thing is wrong. Also, what benefit would Walter have gotten out of letting Jesse die? Jesse was an insanely valuable asset to Walt, if Jesse dies, Walt dies. Walter had no out of the drug business, Gus had Walts family as leverage for keeping him working. He would have NO recourse if Jesse died, and hes smart enough to know that fact.
