Hello, thank you for this video! I have ordered shimano grease dg18, it’s very good for lineroller, but months ago i used penn grease (it’s more sticky, not so good for lineroller), when arrives me dg18, how can i remove the previous penn grease on bearing? Simply with cotton, or immersing in gasoline? Thank you
For the roller bearing I usually just loosen the screw a few turns and then put a couple of drops of reel oil in there. I then use something like an elastic band to more the roller back and forth to try to work the oil in. Have I been doing more harm than good? Or is it better than doing nothing? Tell me it's better than doing nothing. 😂

With so many dissimilar metals in the line roller assembly, I wish people would lubricate them more often than not. Ive had to do some horrific things to get some bails apart and order so many parts to rebuild them. A drop of oil every outing people.
Great video, Josh!
