@@chrisclearwater8865 part of the issue with his earlier testing of the C1 and C2 was the driver spacing. These look further apart and the video above also mentioned no issues with comb filtering. So hopefully they measure better. I like the lower profile. And realistically, the AMT has a wide dispersion so the center listening position being a couple degrees offset likely isn’t an issue. I don’t like the look though with the grill off. But the lower profile would be a big help for my setup.
@@andrewvenditelli152 You have two potential problems. First is the center-to-center spacing of the woofers. This would result in comb filtering and I don't know if this is actually a problem here. I'd have to look up the formula for crossover freq to distance. They are really far apart, though. The more critical issue is the horizontal layout of the tweeter and mid-range. If you look at the vertical dispersion graph of _any_ non-concentric three-way speaker, you will see that the vertical dispersion is not good and has several holes due to the difference in distance from the tweeter and mid-range as you move up and down. Given that this is a center channel that would lay on its side, that would translate in poor horizontal dispersion of this speaker, which is a big problem. I don't see how they could have avoided this.

Great updates to all speakers I am very excited of all the new products. My wife and I are currently cleaning out our "family/media room" which is 19feet x 17feet and saving money to buy all Emotiva ( Amps, preamplifiers, Future streamer, 13 or 16 channel processor, and the T3 line of speakers, Cd player...) Seeing this video makes my wife and I look forward to our Emotiva media and Theater room. Keep up all the good work. I agree the center channel needs to have a huge impact.
The ability to change the orientation of the center channel offerings is a great feature. Some may like the centers enough to buy addtional as LCRs. Also like the bracket design for the Altitude and the flexible mointing options. Best wishes for 2024 and glad that Emotiva continues to grow, change, and enhance the product line.

I love the price! They tick all the boxes of high end speakers while you can tell the only thing sacrificed is probably the overall finish but I'd take that and save thousands of dollars on a whole 5 or 7 channel setup compared to the competition. Excited to see the reviews of these.
Great video! I’m in the market for new speakers but being an audiophile is weird. The speakers and engineering choices for the price point are astounding. That would be enough alone to warrant a close look especially based on Emotivas strong reputation. But it’s the camaraderie between all of you that just might tip the scales for me when I decide finally. Something that has nothing to do with the sound but would make me feel better about the purchase. Keep doing what you guys are doing! 👍🏾
Keep up the good work. Ive been enjoying my XDA 3 & ERC 4. Pairs so well with the XPA DR 2 & your T3s. My dedicated stereo is all Emotiva at this point, and im very pleased. Other than a turntable and power conditioning, im rocking your gear exclusively upstairs. Once everything breaks in a little, the “synergy” i’ve always doubted is a reality. Theres something to be said for staying with one brand across the board. It can be a great experience. Cheers!!
I just retired my Marantz 2252B receiver I bought in 1978 when I was stationed in Naples Italy with the USAF from the AFSOUTH NATO Audio/Photo Club and replaced it with the A2 amp and PT1 Pre-Amp to feed my BOSE 901s. Can't wait to hear modern amplification and 3X the power. Thanks for the military discount.
Got T2+ and XS10 last year. I’ve been dying to complete my 5.1.2 setup. After watching this I think I’m going to get the A’s for my surrounds as they’ll be a little higher than typical. So excited!
Wow very nice! The hard part will be paying full retail since everything under the sun was just on holiday sale. I will see if I can win the battle with my other half on making a purchase of these new speakers. At this time I have 11 days to return my Polk 700 Reserves and the 200R Book Shelfs as well as the 400R Center. I will be waiting for info on the website and make a decision once that hits the web! Just purchased the RMC--1L and cannot wait until upgrade time. That 3 channel differential amp has my attention!

I've been looking forward to this podcast for weeks as I was chomping at the bit to see the new speakers. I took advantage of the clearance blow-out pricing months ago when I picked-up the C1+ and then the B2+ and I'm really enjoying them as the BasX A3 is powering my front stage. The new speakers have such a simple, clean style which I like. I'll be looking at the XT1 or XT2 as mains and possibly relegating the B2+'s to rear surround duty. BTW, I guess I missed it but what's the MSRP on the XT2?
This aired on January 20th and Randy is getting around to doing a review on the Xt1 today! Oh man, that should be a CRIME! It would be nice to hear another review before pulling the trigger.
You all have to roast your own beans!! You can't have a fancy espresso maker and feed it months old beans. Plus.. it's cheaper.. and if you splurge on a good roaster (About $3500 for a lifetime one) you can churn out 2lbs of beans in 15 mins. Telling you.. it pays for itself in the savings alone.. green beans are about $5 or so a lb when you buy 25lbs at a time (and last about 6 months in a cool/dark storage area). I'm telling you.. you're doing that espresso machine a disservice! :D
Emotiva speakers are great but doubling the price of the bookshelf speakers for not much of a difference and making the center directivity worse is not a good idea
I purchased a set of Tzero's a few months back after moving into my own place. Been loving them. When I ordered them, I wanted to get the matched C1+ center but it wasn't in stock and I haven't seen it come back in stock since. Now I know why. That being said, would an Xc1 fit well with my Tzero's, or am I out of luck matching a center to my mains?
Yes the C1 would still be a perfect timbre matched center to go along with your TZeros. We kept that in mind when designing this new series that it would be able to match sonically with the previous generations.
Those versatile center/LCR speakers are a pretty amazing idea. It appears they are a sealed design, so they will work great in a baffle wall behind an AT screen. I'll be trying these out ASAP in that configuration. Assuming putting them in a baffle wall is doable?
Sorry but I disagree, the 4ohm load lets you get more power out of your amp and that will drive these speakers harder and sound even better. More power more sound.
The previous generation "+" Series of the T3 is still in stock but the C3+ has been discontinued. We are launching the new Airmotiv X Loudspeakers in the next day or so which will have the brand new XT3 and XC3.
That really sux. I just bought the c2 last year and boy does it sound great. I was going all in but with the design change, the other speakers won’t match the C2. Now what?
Personally the feet are just extremely unattractive. Why not put steel legs with rubber that stick out about 4-6in that may cost you $3-5 per 4 and upcharge the speaker another $100?. It'll look alot more expensive.
I don’t think too many people will be cross shopping the xt1 with the SVS towers because the starting price is triple what Emotiva is asking. Triple. I agree those new SVS towers are really nice looking.
Love Emo, but funny that sound guys are doing a vid about their sound and can't manage the sound properly with respect to mic placement and usage. If you are going to move away from your mic to speak and point something out, then you have to have a clip-on or boom to pick up your voice. Haaa, sound guys botching a sound vid. :)) Also, horrible camera work. If you are pointing out minute details of construction, then for Pete's sake, get a closeup of what the crap you are talking about. Come on guys, be better than this.
We do not know which units will come in white yet. The first releases will be our standard black but we are working on different white samples right now.
We do with our XA2s. The first few batches sold out almost immediately which was unexpected to us. We are currently rushing to get more produced and available for sale.

Im with Lonnie on the 6 hour maxwell house. The hotplate turns off after 2 hours, so i have to reset it 3 times.
