He FCed N9 on drums and is going for a couple other Un-FCed RBN songs, as well as Visions.
Something slightly less insane this time, but still pretty hard. Took about 30 minutes, with no chokes surprisingly (I expected to miss on the outro swell). I'm mainly uploading this because it's the first video FC of it, and I know it will get way too many views because of the band. I skipped the roll lanes after the solo simply because I suck at roll lanes.
I'm getting somewhat close to Young Man Blues, there's a video of me missing only one section in a run on my other channel: / ihomersh

How are you getting any rebound? It looks like your wrists are doing all the work?
I'm 4 years late, but it sounds like his mesh heads are really tight, which will give a better bounce. Also, some drummers, including myself, sometimes hold the drumstick more towards the bottom for a louder hit. I do this out of habit when I get excited, whether I be on the acoustic set or electric. This is actually probably improper technique, but I get back to the "correct" 1/3 of the way up the stick position whenever I need to do intricate rhythms.

Get a band and try just kicking the bass pedal through a drum fill....they'll kick your ass

Harmonix really likes to over-chart Avenged Sevenfold solo's... Bat Country insane strumming, the Afterlife solo (on real guitar its nothing like they have it), Seize the Day trills, etc. That's why I don't play A7X songs on guitar anymore

well nearly all a7x fans love jimmys voice and scream and his drumming and all he did in his short 7 years of creating music with a7x, hes left alot behind in only 7 years, and many big rock/metal bands start to slow when they get older because they dont have the anger or hate or what ever fuels them when they were younger plus he still had many years ahead of him, we'll never know what else there was to be created from jimmys crazy mind
he was deffinetly more than good his drumming isnt all he did either which makes him a legend to some, he sang/screamed very well, wrote most a7x biggest songs and if ur not an a7x fan u probably havent heard their their first album, his drumming was crazy on it, once they became more of a serious band and matured he slowed it down a bit

...and by better, you mean better at playing death metal. The Rev was really good at playing metal and metalcore, and he didn't have to senselessly blast for minutes on end to prove it.
Don't get me wrong, Kollias and Roddy are pretty great when it comes to speed and death metal, but don't try and compare them to someone way out of their genre.

plus where is the double bass at 0:29 instead of hitting one bass note and where is the double bass at 0:46 i can hit all of them with one foot im sorry i aint convinced its harder when it compleatly isnt at all
he meant Heel Down. it is a technique used by a lot of drummers :P and you won't see his foot move when he uses this technique considering the heel is touching the ground and not lifted up :P
why don't you play drum fills off and play the fills the bands drummer wrote, also you have a very nice roland kit with cymbals it would have been more impressive if you would have played on pro.
you're entitled to your opinion, but you should know that it is undeniably incorrect. This version is considerably harder.

you can buy an ion drum brain and hook it up with that or get a guitar hero kit and use a midi cable to wire them together....i think :P
Stick to playing tech synth on GH3 kid he's better than you ever will be.
I have FC'd the Smash Hits version and I can easily say that the RB version is about 10x harder.

He does use them. Just not in this video. Cymbals tend to be more prone to overhits than pads.
