I bought two of your microphones one handheld modified Astatic D104 for my mobile set up and your modified Astatic 878 base microphone for my base set up. I have talked on both of them over the past several weeks, and have received so many compliments on the clarity and the change in my audio on both my mobile and base set up. I just wanted to thank you for these two incredible mics! Merry Christmas to you and your family. "Street Sweeper - South Florida."
@@timsmith1029 thanks man. And his tune is the best. That issue these radios have with poor rms watts like bbi talks about ? Yea that's not an issue on these radios when he's done with em. They swing some avg watts. Love it
I really should bought my new radio from yall rather than Walcott I totally forgot about you and I hear ya all the time in Nebraska. I'd be willing to send it that way have you work your magic on it if you'd be interested. I cheaped out and went with the 655 when I should spent the extra 100 and did the 955
Drail, this is poetry in motion! Awesome job! Put me in line, I want this set up without the vfo and with the 878. I already have the eq! Bad bad bad!!!
Another great radio!!! Can the same audio be achieved without the EQ? Im asking as I don't have a Ur6qw. The video before this had great sound also. I like the Bass/Treble controls! Thanks for sharing!!!
Now. Did i miss something? How can it or was i transmitting, with a locked keydown, while doing X amount of watts, and not catching on fire from heat? All that talk time and no "magic smoke"? 🤔
Funny how well a radio can perform with something that actually takes skill to achieve. Instead of the youtube famous sine wave pushers that twist a pot or 2 and think 35 pep is all a stryker can do clean.
He never shows spurious emissions on the spectrum analyzer? Seems it just can't be seen. The oscilloscope talking definitely shows splatter. Everyone out there is trying to sound like Motor Mouth Maul. Mark is trying with his 955 out in the 🏜. I think this radio has the punch that most cb'ers want. OK, just seen the end of the video. Spurious emissions on the 54mhz is good. The radio does sound good. Better than Mark by far. Not better than Motor Mouth.
120w Dosy peak watts 139w LP-100a i assume peak watts. 60w Bird...oh so only 60w real watts.. ?? so it's not 120w or 139w (20w difference, ever though about getting your meters calibrated ?) so in the real world it's 60w maximum RMS/AGV output... and you've changed the finals and it still only does 60w ??? Now go watch Jose vidie and his has STOCK FINALS and does 110w Dosy peak and does 56w Bird..!! so lets get this right you change and mod the finals to get an extra 10w peak and 4w RMS/AVG ?? apart from the nice sounding HiFi audio what else do you actually get that you can't get from a golden screwdriver truck stop hack ??
Most of them golden screwdrivers make a pure sine at 50 watts Pep (35 on dosy) and hack it up at 70 pep and the difference is mine dont have to have a computer or rack gear or pre amp or seperated board those things can be added, but all you have to do with mine is plug a mic into the face and key it up and speak to have fidelity. Also the stock irf520s have issues with spurs/harmonics anything below 2 watt. My meters are how they come stock people talk all the crap they want about a dosy but on pep they are stingy 10 bird meters and 10 lps will show around 140 pep if were comparing bird peak then stay on track. Not even sure why im wasting my time to respond to a troll right now. Got 80 strykers behind me waiting to get built. But i also offer a list of options that give someone versatility that doesnt have to be ran through a computer or ferrited to death to make work. Not gonna list all the options again go read the description.
In my 30 years of screwdrivering radios, this is the most amazing job I’ve seen yet
Appreciate the compliments.

How about telling us how you connected the EQ and powered it.
Is the MP3 playback going through the built in bass & treb controls?
Yes its easily noticable on the video. You'll hear it at the end of the trailer that im playing through the mp3.
Take my money
Well ive never seen or heard anything like that before.
great job bro 73s

eq for smooth & wide, no eq for natural and punchy best simple way i can put it.
@@DRail1990 Do you stock what's needed for this setup? I see the 8 band eq but couldn't find the 10 band you used. Thanks, I'll call you soon!

D rail how do I contact you to get one of these nice radios? Krazyboy 705 Washington DC waving
Just give us a call 706-384-5184
A little “boomy”, and “muddy” on both microphones. You were more understandable when you turned the treble control up a little.
That would be the purpose of the control if you compared this to a tune from anywhere else you'd wanna throw that narrow garbage in the trash.
I want 1 who much
