D-RaiL, I heard Stryker 447HPC2 have a swing mod built into them from the factory. The person claimed techs that know about it can enable it by soldering a spot on the board to enable it. Have you heard anything about that?
Wonder if you can buy and install the boost boards on the older radios. Any way happy new year fellas and keep that good quality of work for all of us that enjoy them.
Nice video, thanks for posting! Regarding IR (voltage) drop with big vs smaller wire, it looks like in either case the run you have is very short. As you know, the R is proportional to length of the wire so maybe in a mobile where the wire might be 10-15 feet to the battery you would see more of a difference going to the bigger gauge wire. It still wouldn't be worth bothering with in my opinion. Lower voltage (like 12.5-13.5VDC) in some ways is BETTER because finals at lower voltages can handle worse VSWR's. For mobile where SWR can fluctuate, id rather be safe. What finals are in the 955V2 vs. 955V2+?
@Z28videogates they both come stock with irf520s. My point about the voltage drop is the same situation at that output on a v1 955 would of went from 150 watts to 70 watts pep they are hyper critical to voltage drop and it is very necessary for a big harness. Irregardless though dc is very resistive and it's always best to wire to the battery and overkill is not a bad thing. Mainly just wanted to showcase the massive difference in sensitivity to voltage drop.
Damn, those plosives are ridiculous in the unmodified version.
Good to hear they were gone on the modified one.
Nice job. Drail happy new year 🎉✨
Happy new year!
Great job Happy New Year from 1985 shooting star
Happy New Year
Great video 📹 👍🏿 👏🏾 👌🏿
Awesome brother
Always love to see new vids home slice 🎙🎛
Great video d rail, so you think the jump is worth it from the v2 ? Considering it
Maybe if someone needed more power. I can upgrade the normal v2 to get 120 to 140 watts with my mods.

Not sure but I can get 120 on the dosy and 140 to 150 on the bird with the normal v2 with my upgrades.
@ and it’s been working flawlessly in my mobile
