Can you do a guide for Doom Eternal, please? I'm desperate. I got Dave the Diver to work but not Doom. Can't find a guide anywhere. I tried different versions of Proton. Experimental, GE every Proton available. I used the same process as the one you showed in Dave the Diver.
How do you have all those community layouts? Mine only shows 3 and only one is a remapping for this game. I try to search for ones and no results come up. I try show all layouts and nothing changes.
i dont know if this will help but look for most upovoted one in community layouts i just tried this now cause i didn't see the one that was shown in this video. (probably because im doing it for spiderman remastered) but it worked
@@GrownUpGamingGUG I'm in California. I did a little reading and it seems for non steam games it is based on the name. I changed it to "Miles Morales" and got about 4 listed. Is that how yours is named in the properties?
@@GrownUpGamingGUG Ok so I got the steam deck controller to work! Follow these steps. It worked for me on the latest Steam OS. 1. Connect another controller to your steam deck 2. Run the quacked game 3. Press the home/steam button to view controller settings 4. Click controller settings 5. Go to the added controller 6. Click on the gear icon next to “Edit Layout” 7. Click on “Disable Steam Input” 8. Restart quacked game
looks good dude! It amazes me how you opened the game after transfering it to the deck though... I tried transfer the spider-man remastered and there was no way i could run it, you make it look easy! no complex lutris/wine/proton instalations, cleannnnn i'll try it out and give u some feedback

I ended up googling my way out, but no luck. some people mentioned that if i added a text file with steam_appid and the code of the game or something maybe it would work, but later on someone said the game i want to from f1tg1rl doesn't work on steamdeck, ended up deleting the folder... btw, I don't use warpinator to send files over, cuz that's just extra software... I ended up opening ssh on the deck and i just manage it through filezilla, it works fine, it's pretty "fast", could send over 70gb in about 30 mints
oh , I even downloaded protontricks and it recognized the game somehow, but i ended up not installing any dependencies ... just gave up on the game and decided i'll probs find another one to download!
@@realdeepz i haven't tried f1tg1rl, i'm getting 2.516.0.0 update one, let me try it out and let you know. the steam_appid text file is needed i think. which ever way you can transfer is ok. i used filezilla before but sometimes the files get corrupted somehow.
@@realdeepz in protontricks, you can select the game and instead of installing, there's an option to delete all the prefixes. if you deleted the game then you should delete the prefixes and all related folders to keep things clean.
i tried using steam link as a controller and turned off steam input and it worked without any external controller. i dont have any controller but this worked for me.
controllers are for windows and mine is the steam deck controller itself, ospa thing showing keyboard and mouse controller, very confusing, help me out bro
