When I was vacuuming my dads truck I used a turbo brush and that made quick work of not only the embedded dog hair but it also pulled up a lot deeply embedded sand.

Detailer Tip, when extracting the seats. Lay the back part of the seat down on the floor that way water won't run down to the bottom seat part.
