Thanks Sue for trying. That's weird, I don't even see my comment when I went to this page again. I had some trouble getting it to post in the first place after I edited it and I suspect I know why. So I will change some wording and see if that helps and I will try re-posting it. You've been collecting 10 years?!! That is amazing because you have such fresh enthusiasm for it. I've been collecting now for 18 years and I'll admit it, my love I once had for it has cooled a bit. I still enjoy dolls and mainly Barbie and her houses and play-sets. But for me it's become more of a past collection rather than something I'm always adding to now. Mainly because of running out of space. But also because I never found friends locally that shared my interest, so I was always collecting alone. It's easy to cool down when it's just you all the time. I really enjoy your videos because they remind me of how I used to feel when I'd find new doll "finds" in local flea markets.

That little thing with a picture might be a pop up tv (they were big back then). This was so much fun!
Really, I didn't know about them. Too bad the original box only says nightstand. I tell you I have no idea, lol. Someone also suggest a telephone. Pop up Tv I will look that up. thanks

Yup, I remember those metal ice trays! My parents had their first fridge (from the 50s?) at the cottage and it had those trays. I always thought they worked so much better than the plastic ones! Love your Barbie house. I never had a Barbie house growing up, but I did have the Chris Craft Yacht, which I loved, and I had lots of beautiful wooden Barbie-sized furniture (which I no longer have and have never seen in all my online searches), and when I wanted to play Barbie house, I would simply remove all the books from my parents' bookcase and create a Barbie condo lol!!
Barbie condo, that was a great imagination. I loved the big ice cubes from the old trays. It was my job to fix drinks everyday.
Such wonderful accessories! I think you are right about the toaster oven not microwave. I remember those ice cube trays!

This is so cute and I love the house tour haha! My next door neighbors back in 78-79 had this dream home. I begged for it at Christmas but my parents thought it was too pricey . I think it was over a hundred dollars. My neighbors had money and they has almost every Barbie item you can Imagine. I did get the townhouse . It was cute and a bit lower priced but very fun. I remember the metal ice trays too!
I never had a Barbie house, I made mine out of shoe boxes. So I really love the 2 I have. I just bought a Precious Places Victorian house. Found it last weekend, couldn't resist it, It would be my dream house if it were human size. LOL

Great video! This is one of the best Barbie houses ever made. I found the 1985 version at a thrift store on Labor Day for $20. I feel so lucky 😊

I don’t have the A Frame house, but I’m always on the lookout for one at thrift store or flea market. I’m currently using the bottom of my bookcases to display Barbie furniture, I have a bathroom play set from 1993 that has the sink with vanity and medicine chest, bathtub, toilet with over the toilet storage shelf. I also have the 1984 dream kitchen that has the sink, dishwasher, oven, stovetop, refrigerator, and kitchen cart, most of the accessories came with it.
Us doll lovers find a way to display. Great thinking.

Yes, we had both metal and plastic ice trays. Hated the metal ones!! The plastic were the best because all you had to do was twist the tray and the ice cubes would pop out. That pink item I think was another television, but that's just a guess. BTW, computers were gaining in popularity in the early 1980s; I had my first experience using one at work in 1983. I think it's odd that they made all pink accessories for a house that was primarily orange, yellow and white! Doesn't really go together to me. Oh, and that first bed you held up with the flowered bedspread, etc., that is all original and not handmade.

I just checked back to see if my comment stayed this time, and it didn't. I wonder does YT have the ability to just delete comments it doesn't like? Because I've never had a comment just not appear like this after posting it. I suspect it must be because I mentioned that blog. I think YT doesn't like that sort of thing. Well if you or any others didn't get to copy that address, then you can simply Google it and it should come up. I think it's a great resource for information if you love that particular Barbie house. They have everything there, including pictures of all the original furniture and things like that. Even the original assembly instructions. Also some great pictures of custom things that people have done on their own. I have quite a few of Barbie doll houses and the A-Frame one from 1978 is still my favorite.

Wow this is lovely! I’ve had this A frame house throughout my entire childhood but never had a single accessory, it was missing the balcony, the doors and most shutters but it was still my favorite barbie house out of the few too many i had.
It is super nice. Makes me want to play every time I get it out. LOL

Your 1978 A-frame doll house is too cute! I love the retro furniture. And yes, I remember the metal ice trays when I was a child. Barbie's favorite color was pink, so a lot of furniture from that era Mattel made in pink. Thank you for sharing your beautiful Barbie house with us.

OMG, metal ice trays! I'm old enough to remember that. LOL I just love your furniture and accessories so much. They are adorable and I have always wanted that house. The canopy beds are the best. I don't have that one but I have the glitter n glow bed and it's so pretty but one of the lights is out. So that little table you were wondering about... I wondered the same thing. The box it originally came in it says it is a night stand, so you are probably right about it being an alarm clock. You can google barbie dream furniture and there is a photo in there of the original box.

@@BarbieLove You know what? After getting a much closer up look at that night stand, I think that is supposed to be a telephone. Remember those phones from the 70’s that had the handset sideways like that and the buttons were separate. Sometimes the came in a chest or case. I don’t know but it looks like it may be a telephone. I cannot say how much I love the Dream House! It's so great and I have it on my wishlist, just in the pink version since I'm a pink addicted! 💖 Btw u got the early 80's fridge that was a replica from the original in yellow from the 70's, as well as the table with the stove, the first ones were from the 70's in yellow and orange. I have the same exact table with it's four chairs but mine it's the light and dark blue version matching with the same cabinet. These are really good quality items that today mattel doesn't produces anymore. On the back of my blue cabinet it's printed "made in west germany" rather them made in china, isn't it incredible? And I perfectely remember the trays with food, my friend had the Dream Kitchen where there was all this stuff. But I never had any real kitchen for my barbies and no refrigerator cuz I exchanged my original blue dining room for a non original carboard kitchen with a friend of mine (and I remember my mom yelling at me cuz I gave away a good item for a trashy one XD), but that kitchrn didn't come with any accessories. Now I re bought the blue dining room and it's so cool! I even have the pink velvety living room that belonged to my sis, but mine has a completely different tv, it's smaller and in burgundy color with a matching record player and tray and drinks. And like the kitchen stuff even this is a replica from the 70's one who came out in two versions, a yellow and orange and a green one I had. About the beds I had and still have the first one but never liked it cuz it's a plain rectangle and the veil thing I think it's custom made cuz mine never had it. The strange stuff looking like a washing machine it is it's matching bedside table and always find it so ugly lol. I even have the dream glow bed of my sis and yeah ur second bed is supposed to have a matrass since it's a replica of the dream glow one. I even had that dressing table but the mirror got broken with the hooks stuck inside the attaching holes so no way to fix it and my mom threw it away. Btw u really got some amazing stuff and cool to see how u put them inside the Dream House. Yesterday at the antique and second hand market I found a barbie refrigerator too, it's the one from the Sweet Roses collection from 1987 I had in my wishlist. I really love it even if it came without any of it's miniature foods (that I'm planning to find), but I filled it with other miniatures I have, some purchased and others made by myself. Anyway sorry for always typing so long messagrs. XD

I did think it was funny to have all the pink accessories when the house is yellow/orange. It is a great house missing a few flowers in the window boxes. Thanks so much.
@@BarbieLove my pleasure and for the Dream House yeah, if u already have all the furnitures in pink better taking the red and yellow version, and about the missing plants u can search for them on ebay or on barbie's groups where ppl sell every kind of piece/clothes etc. My Dream Glow bed is on the third floor of the pull string elevator house exactely where as a kid my sis used to place it, so for the pink Dream House (that I hope I can get) I will use another bed.

New sub here, binge watching your video LOL. This video means so much to me as I got this house on my 5th birthday, and it means the world to me. I still have it in it's complete form. I lost a few of the plates and silverware, but have since replaced them via eBay, but I remember coming out on Christmas mourning, nd my Mama and Gram were sitting there with the doll house that they spent all night assembling (poor things) and I have loved it now for over 42 years. It was so fun to see you show us and take me back down memory lane. :)

Found it at a flea market with all the accessories and a case of dolls. Those metal ice trays. Lol 😂 hard to handle but gave us ice 🧊

I don't really know. Probably came with furniture? I made my doll houses out of shoe boxes and the furniture too. I CAN ONLY IMAGINE .
