This Tartan 3500 Sailboat Is For Sale. BoatFools #2, Josh, takes us on a boat tour of a beautiful 1999 Tartan 3500 (hull #92) that is currently "on the hard" and for sale in Charlotte, Vermont. She was listed at $85,000 but just had a recent price drop to $79,000. The seller is anxious to sell before the end of this year. This was an extremely successful model for Tartan and between 1992 and 2006, 152 of these were made. Sturdy, stiff, and fast, they are ideal for coastal cruising, racing, and more and suitable for a small family, a couple, or solo sailors. This model is loaded with lots of extras and custom features. As noted in the video there are 6 of these for sale in North America as of the airing of this - and this one is the least expensive. If you're in New England and looking for a Tartan, this might be the boat for you. Check it out!

Actually, they have a couple of nice boats up there in Vermont. The problem is, how do you get them to where you are?

Sorry - just seeing this! There are actually two ways to get to the ocean, from the southern end, one can take the Champlain Canal which connects Lake Champlain to the Hudson River (lots of locks, 11 or so), then down to the Atlantic. The other is from the north where you'd pop into Canada via the Richelieu River, then to the St. Lawrence (much longer to get around to New England coast). Both doable if you have the time! Thanks for watching!
