That worked for my mother. I had childhood amnesia until one day in college. I was shopping for groceries and saw a man abusing his 3 yo. I froze, dropped my basket and booked it out of there. Everything came flooding back. My mother tried to play it down until she realized that my memories were specific. If my father had done, even a fraction of what he did then, he would be in prison. This man destroyed more than one life on the day he decided to kill his wife: His daughter, who lost her mother, and his brother, who was wracked with guilt and divided loyalties. All out of his selfish desire to continue his double life.
How tragic for Betty to die in the hands of her husband.A husband who slept with you in the same bed having achild in their union.God save the women from this kind of man.
These evil monsters should get life in prison or else the death penalty. Dont threat them like a human being if they dont act like a human being. Most of these murderers have no feelings for no one only themselves.
The " murdering cowards" keep the Death Penalty off the table..if theres a confession made by the perpetrator., and that's disgusting..they should get a confession by force and interrogation!!,not by making disgusting deals with murderers, why should they live??? they are unrehabitible, they cant be helped,so tax payers pay for keeping them in prison, cleaning and feeding them
If his murdered wife were my sister I would find him for sure. He would know what it tastes like when you get a beating and what it feels like when you can't breathe. This monster deserves nothing else.
I don't know how he could live with his conscience knowing he murdered his wife, having affairs, drove his brother to suicide and came out of jail like nothing has happened 😳 unbelievable!!
He has no conscience that's how he lives with it. He's all about himself. His family all still supported him after he drove his brother to suicide (they blamed the police rather than him), then to sleep with his brother's wife (that was HER fault according to them)...the golden "dentist" child never had be accountable for anything he did to any of them.
Narcissists always want to talk about their injuries and problems to draw attention to "ME". Regardless of his wife being deceased, he was sooking about a bump on the head. That should have told the police straight away, that he was involved and who he was!
Unbelievable! ---- Back living in his home town and jailed for only 13 ýears ---- If I'm correct in catching the amount of years that he served. But his poor wife lost the rest of all of her years and her daughter lost her wonderful mother! An absolute miscarriage of justice for an innocent woman murdered and so sad for her parents! But well done at least to the perseverance of the detectives! 👏 Imagine having an neighbour though like him! 💣
But if it's your spouse, you and he/she will have to go home and be alone with each other. Of course the spouse is not going to murder or assault in public. They wait until they're home, where most crimes take place.
I feel so badly for Neal. He couldn't lie to the police, and he couldn't betray his brother. I feel badly for the wife and their daughter as well. Was it worth it? Why not divorce over lives destroyed or taken?
In answer to your last ? .... they (this personality type) are all about looking squeaky-clean and perfect to the world, and it makes them furious if someone were to come forward with the truth (like an affair).
This case reminds me of a case that happened in Davis, CA. In that case, a young couple was stalked and killed by a man after they left their apartment. That killer then called his brother to help him, which the bother did, well, the case went cold. About a decade later, the brother of the killer committed suicide and his widow found a note detailing how he assisted the killer after he killed the couple. That blew the case wide open and he was caught. So sad, how can murder solve anything???
Ladies, never confront a possibly violent man, even if he is your husband, when you are alone at home. Leave first, do it over the phone, or take a friend.... just saying and not victim blaming, but she could have saved own life if she had taken those protective measures.
This case sickened me, even more so realizing that Glen W. is a free man. In a very real sense he got away with it. Wasn’t there a Lifetime TV movie dramatizing this case with Michael Ontkean as the philandering dentist?
@@amymullen306 you know, I'm not entirely sure. There is a LIFETIME TV Movie with Ontkean as a killer, philandering dentis, but there may be another flick with Harrison and Gilbert.
Takes gall to go back to the city of one's crime. This dude should have received more years. What was that juries thinking? Crimes against an innocent spouse deserves more. His immorality, ego centric lies, what destruction he had in his wake, and the short sentence emphasizes that another's life is worthless next to oneself. This emphasizes all our lives are worthless and teaches the killer/predators nothing giving them total power. Look around the world at all the human predators and the exceptionally short sentences. The still living are left behind as bait.
Confronting an abuser can make them snap. However, as far as I'm concerned this shouldn't be a mitigating factor in a murder trial, especially in this case considering his previous violence towards Betty. Even though the daughter was only 5 years old at the time, delicately handled she still could've given testimony; she was the only witness after all. This narcissist destroyed so many lives. My heart goes out to Neil, Betty and all their loved ones.
I am very saddened by the tragic and yet unnecessary death of a young woman. I would have told her to just pack up her bags and leave with her daughter, to some where she couldn't be found ever again. It would have saved her life and quite possibly others as well. Thank you
Killing a person is so terrible. That is why soldiers need so much prayer. In their case it is their duty to protect us but must leave them so traumatised and affects their lives and their families lives.
Right? Most veterans have extremely brutal challenges with PTSD, among other physical and mental health issues, due to being in the service. And it seems as if most veterans are not treated very well after they exit the service. Every VA hospital gives sub par (at best) medical care, the branches of each armed service offer no help and no time for soldiers (particularly combat) to help them prepare for re-entry into the civilian world, the fact that veterans have horrifying suicide rates…it’s a terrible situation. Also, if you know or meet a former (or current for that matter) combat soldier who claims to have enjoyed or still enjoys/loves the act of killing, that’s someone to be extremely wary of in my opinion. 😳 I know a few Vietnam veterans and have known them for many years. None of them wanted to be in the military, none of them are cowards by any stretch, and each one of them suffers greatly everyday. Physically and mentally. It’s tragic. 😢 Veterans deserve to be treated as respectfully as anyone else; and with genuine gratitude. I may hate war but I have immense respect and gratitude for the folks that are in the military. The folks actually in the midst of war. They deserve better treatment than they’re currently receiving and, seemingly, than they’ve been offered in the past. ✊🏼🙏🏼💕
Wonder if he confessed to his brother, and then asked him to cause the superficial injury to his head to help him with the cover story. That would certainly explain why his brother never checked on Glen''s daughter and wife on scene. Also explains the gap between the call to his brother and the 911 call. Brother couldn't live with his complicity in the cover up - which would bring charges of accessory after the fact - which explains his suicide. Glen also filed a report of a prowler days before the murder -- planting the seed of an intruder attack. Along with the multiple affairs, that should have resulted in a first degree murder conviction. Disgusting that Glen Wolsieffer only received 13 year sentence and is now a free man!
If it wasn't premeditated then it wasn't 1st degree murder. Jurors can't GUESS that it was 1st degree. It probably was though :) And you're right. That would explain the injury to the head. it's not easy to make your own head bleed...at least without leaving blood on the wall or wherever you banged it
That detective sounds really tired. When are people going to realise there is *NO* such thing as “perfect?” No perfect human, no perfect marriage, child, family etc. I think those that portray a “perfect” life are the ones who have the most secrets.
As Dr. Grande (another yt content creator-he’s great-give his channel a look) says…”Perfect is the enemy of good. And good has to be good enough.” It’s a tough thing to understand that there is no perfect but I’m trying after many years of hoping to achieve that very thing.
Perfect for me, in my eyes! My mum would've terribly disapproved of my fun loving, constantly joking, pulling my leg husband, who'd put our children first and play with them the whole time after work. He'd let the girls to paint his nails, backcomb his hair, fo his makeup and dress him in hats or in a mermaid costume. He'd do colouring books with them and join in in every board game with them. He'd carry them on his back and legs all four of them. The water fights were legendary! I'd ask to help me with the diy but he was always busy with our children reading to them and teaching them chemistry; making experiments and electronics etc etc He let them stay up late and watch interesting programs on tv. So, my darling husband wasn't perfect in many people's eyes because he let them paint his nails etc. But we loved him so much and now, life's so abnormal I must say. I miss him so much, it hurts. Our children suffer badly since his death. Being reclusive is my new life as I can't face the life outside. So, no one is perfect in other people's eyes but my darling husband was perfect enough for me, for us. 😭
I'm so over these women who knowingly get involved with men who most likely killed their wives....seriously have some standards...these women just make the rest of us look bad!
Dealing with a controlling and abusive narcissist - rule no. 1: NEVER confront them alone in a private place. Before confrontation, lawyer up and have someone with you that you trust IN a public place. Make sure you have a safe place to go and take your child/children with you. Have photo evidence of bruising and file police reports.
I looked up the daughter and she’s living with her Grandma and is in high school. Also, the police made sure she got her mom’s engagement and wedding rings instead of Glen.
@@donnawentz2221 "Danielle became a hair stylist and is close to her father. A 2020 story in the local paper noting the 10th birthday of Danielle’s son mentioned Glen Wolsieffer as his grandfather. Glen’s sister, Lisa Myers, also remains in his corner." She was a child in 1986 - that would put her in her 40's now.
I wonder if the hygienist felt guilty for Glen killing his wife due to their affair? I know he’s the one that chose to do that but still …. It’s so wrong to cheat because it affects not just the spouse but also the kids.
The problem with the majority on these boards, including me, is that we think other humans care about other humans like we do. MANY don't. I would bet an awful lot of money that she felt nothing. She felt NOTHING for a child whose home she was about to ruin. She wouldn't have cared about the murder. Maybe thought it was a way for them to be together.
I bet he had many more flings than this. Hygienist probably knew of it wasn't her, it would be someone else, plus, that's her boss; when he made a pass at her, she probably felt it was that or give up her job. That's why making moves on your employees is illegal.
So were the bruises that Betty sustained not noticed during her autopsy as it would have been seen that they had been there for a while, thus giving more weight to the fact the her husband was abusing her. Therefore more likely to have killed her.
@@susanm4424-w6k Her friend probably just made up the story to be honest, probably after the sister in law and other mistress came forward probably just felt he is guilty so made it up. Otherwise it didnt look good for him but there wasnt direct evidence at all. The brother's wife, just could be a woman scorned making up a story aswell. Because why only after finding out he cheated on her?
I feel incredible sorrow for the victim and family but every time I watch one of these murder stories where the murderer gets caught and goes to prison, I think … “…and how’d that work out for ya?” It pleases me it did not work out for them and they spend hopefully the rest of their evil lives locked up, hopefully in hell.
The fact that the ladder was backwards could suggest that Neil put it there afterwards. Glen would've been familiar enough with the ladder to place it properly.
I wonder if his brother was an acessory to murder. That he was so much under the spell of his brother that he would help him to kill Betty. - OR he had seen something suspicious when coming into the house - that would explain why he phoned 911 later, he had to process his shock.
I haven’t finished watching because I yet I had to come to the comments to say, you know there’s already a problem when nobody goes and checks on their wife, “in the midst of confusion,” they forgot?!? No, that’s a huge red flag from the get go!
1986 Pennsylvania- Police were called into a crime scene and husband Glen Wolseiffer told police that his wife Betty Wolsieffer was strangled and murdered by an intruder while he was out with friends and came home late and heard a noise and an intruder stuck him on the head and when he recovered he rang his brother Neil who came across and called the police. Investigators wondered why Glen or Neil did not go upstairs at once to check on Betty and her daughter. Then another tragedy and Neil Wolsieffer was killed by a car accident on his way to talk to the police. Investigators found that Glen had another affair with a a woman named Debbie and another named Carol and he was also close to his dead brothers wife Nancy. Betty did a foolish thing by confronting Glen alone and if necessary should have confronted him in front of witnesses or in public.
The monster did not care about his wife, he did not care to hurt his daughter by killing her mother. He did not care about his brother, and his parents. The system and especially the jury had failed! 💔
It's so odd the way certain things are portrayed in these shows. The wolsifers lived in a very small modest house on a typical lower middle class street. I lived nearby.

This man destroyed more than one life on the day he decided to kill his wife:
His daughter, who lost her mother, and his brother, who was wracked with guilt and divided loyalties.
All out of his selfish desire to continue his double life.
...triple life
Don’t forget the truck driver who would likely feel guilt over Neil’s death
He had a great life. A loving wife. He was no doubt a high level murdering narcissist.

Not narcissist. Sadistic sociopath.
Nothing can justify murder, nothing. Unless you are defending your life or the life of your child. That’s it. In my opinion of course.
I agree completely, but in such case it's not murder.
@@rocioaguilera3555 exactly. It's self defense.

How tragic for Betty to die in the hands of her husband.A husband who slept with you in the same bed having achild in their union.God save the women from this kind of man.
Or anybody else , for that matter
Sad very sad it is like sleeping with the enemy unknownly
His wife doesn’t come down and all the commotion and he doesn’t go upstairs. Oh my God that’s guilt right there so guilty come on.
Divorce is better than murder, but the spouse doesn't want to pay child support, there's a life insurance policy.
These evil monsters should get life in prison or else the death penalty. Dont threat them like a human being if they dont act like a human being. Most of these murderers have no feelings for no one only themselves.
8-20 years, got out in 13 😠
Ridiculous. However I don't know the sentence for 3rd degree murder in his state. Whatever it was, it wasn't long enough.

I don't know how he could live with his conscience knowing he murdered his wife, having affairs, drove his brother to suicide and came out of jail like nothing has happened 😳 unbelievable!!
These people exist… it is frightening.
@elas5889 absolutely especially whether they are lawyers, doctors, or even cops are sociopath.. You just never know?
He doesn't have one! 'Conscience'
Psychopaths do not posses a conscience or empathy - they get through life mimicking others behaviour to appear normal -
He has no conscience that's how he lives with it.
So true 😔

Evil does truly walk among us daily.
Which is why a jury trial is a freaking joke! 🙄🙄
Shocking that he got an early release, and his daughter who is also a mother now, is very close to her father😮😮
What this man could get away with!
Avoid confronting your spouse in your home. Do it somewhere public and where you can be safe!
But if it's your spouse, you and he/she will have to go home and be alone with each other. Of course the spouse is not going to murder or assault in public. They wait until they're home, where most crimes take place.
Exactly true
Just leave.
I can't imagine their child being that house while her father murders her mother 😔 so sad
Nancy didn't believe Glen was capable of murder until she found out he cheated on her??🤣🤣
How could he show his face again in Wilkes-Barre?
I feel so badly for Neal. He couldn't lie to the police, and he couldn't betray his brother. I feel badly for the wife and their daughter as well. Was it worth it? Why not divorce over lives destroyed or taken?
Plain and simple greed and selfishness.
Yes he could betray his brother and he should have.
Lying narcissist!

Why was he stalking them?

Ladies, never confront a possibly violent man, even if he is your husband, when you are alone at home. Leave first, do it over the phone, or take a friend.... just saying and not victim blaming, but she could have saved own life if she had taken those protective measures.
Am I a part of this human race.. do I really know who anybody really is
No we never know. That’s scary.
He killed his wife and his brother. Disgusting
This case sickened me, even more so realizing that Glen W. is a free man. In a very real sense he got away with it. Wasn’t there a Lifetime TV movie dramatizing this case with Michael Ontkean as the philandering dentist?
It's on TH-cam, something like Murder at 75 Birch
the movie with michael ontkean is "in a child's name" and the character he portrayed was a dentist also.
Wasn't. It. A. Lifetime. Movie. With. . Gregory. Harrison. & Melissa. Gilbert. ??!!
And he went back to the same town! The balls on this guy!
@@amymullen306 you know, I'm not entirely sure. There is a LIFETIME TV Movie with Ontkean as a killer, philandering dentis, but there may be another flick with Harrison and Gilbert.
Omg the little brother makes the ultimate sacrifice for his brother (Glen) and gets involved with his widowed wife. Is this for real ?! 😮😳
He used his brother and was able to move on to his brother's wife? What?!
Hmmm.....ever heard of Hunter Biden...he did the same thing.
uhhh...check out Hunter Biden and his brother's wife.
She obviously didn't decline his advances. To me, she showed what SHE was really about - it was just her skanky a$$ turn. 🤷🏽♂️
@carey, your misconstrued sentence makes it sounds like the little brother gets involved with his widowed wife.
😂😂😂😂I can’t stop laughing when the detectives said his name Glen LUCIFER 😂😂😂
LoL 😆

So your brother dies for you and you make yourself comfortable with your brother's wife and cheat on her with 2 or many?
His brother was a tool!
@@Gregory10000000000 Neil was the weaker of the two. He most likely adored and detested his brother most of his adult life.
The fact that he beat her until black and blue should’ve shown her he’s a truly evil man. She should have just left covertly and filed for divorce.
It took Betty's friend over a year to come forward???
God Bless Our Military People.🙏🙏🙏🙏

Mer? I get being on the rebound but you get with your BIL who's under suspicion for murdering his wife? Run, baby, run!
It probably was though :)
And you're right. That would explain the injury to the head. it's not easy to make your own head bleed...at least without leaving blood on the wall or wherever you banged it
white man privilege. Any body else would've received LIFE behind bars.
This guy didn't even get proper sentences .. After a short spell in jail, he went on to enjoy life with his daughter and grandchi🤬

Most women who have affairs with married men have no conscience about it.

So were the bruises that Betty sustained not noticed during her autopsy as it would have been seen that they had been there for a while, thus giving more weight to the fact the her husband was abusing her. Therefore more likely to have killed her.
That is what I was wondering, but nothing was said and it took years before her friend came forward, very sad story.
@@susanm4424-w6k Her friend probably just made up the story to be honest, probably after the sister in law and other mistress came forward probably just felt he is guilty so made it up.
Glen did a foolish thing by murdering his wife. Stop victim blaming!
The monster did not care about his wife, he did not care to hurt his daughter by killing her mother. He did not care about his brother, and his parents. The system and especially the jury had failed! 💔
