Fun fact: The CEO of Ring (Doorbot) Jamie Siminoff reached a deal with Amazon to buy out his company for $1 billion in Early (or mid) 2018. A few days ago, it was announced that he is going to return to Shark Tank for it's 10th season but now as an official Guest Shark. It's pretty amazing
I don't think they would have any negative feelings because that's just how business rolls. Some people just don't see the value of an idea until afterward and others see a marketable idea as it's being presented. It's just a matter of perspective.
Stephosourus Rex that actually made really great money. Without getting ripped off with their standard 40% and O’Leary commission. But to be honest the crappy bagel and coffee ( by the mesohorny) sistah from San Francisco that were swiping $100k each from the company and Copa guy that wanted investors for the wine its self when the patent was the most lucrative aspect are not missed.
My neighbor behind my house has a Doorbot, we don't live in a very safe neighborhood. She showed me how to use it and it's awesome. The sharks were blind to such an awesome product in plain sight.
Poot Potatoes I saw one yesterday when I went to a client's house to install some cabinets. It looks nice and it does seem helpful. What if you're taking a shit and can't get to the mailman who needs a signature ya know? Or in your neighbor's case, an unsafe neighborhood.
It's funny how these sharks couldn't see success from items so obvious to succeed. For example the doorbot. Home security is super big now with stuff like that.
Scott Shafer Tgis type of system is already in popular use nowa days was my point. And in 2009 we were already advancing in mobile technologies to benefit and connect to them. It was a very obvious winner.
Scott Shafer Ah well, now I bet most would want to invest into tech these days considering how much it runs our lives. I couldn't fathom about using smart phones when i was a kid. Now i can't fathom my life without the very thing I'm using to type this haha.
Takeoffyourpantsjakt I never said they were so you shouldn't assume. All i was talking about was how they missed an opportunity for something great. Even the smart and wealthy are prone to mistakes.
Erick Christensen It was not a mistake, the risk was significant. Investing in internet connected surveilance equipment can go wrong very fast when a leak is exposed.
To be honest, the sharks are far too wealthy to care if they missed out on something, more opportunities will come. They're not going to spend their lives regretting something that became successful
But never forget to be realistic and learn when to step down and try something different. Otherwise it's just millenials living in denial because their parents only told them the first part over and over.
Moral of the story Don't give up after being turned down the first time, there will always be other people that will see the potential and what you believe in.

That could be a possibility. The rejected entrepreneurs becoming richer than the sharks themselves and then they too will reject others and others will become richer. You see, it's a cycle.
Cuban never actually offered the $30 million for CMB, it was just a hypothetical question. He has come out and said it was taken out of context as it was not actually an offer.
For billionaires, the sharks can be idiots most of the time. These ideas were great including Ring if only they looked closer they would have saw more money.
You’re telling me. There was one guy that invented an app that allows valets to use credit cards, and they rejected that. Yet the Squatty spotty got a deal.
Chris Inman They can't be to much of a idiot since they are like you said billionaires so just because they didn't invest in any of these businesses I'm sure their not to worried since they have money rolling in from other shark investments. No one's perfect!
Sometimes it's not necessarily about the product there's many factors that effect their decision like what industry the company is in or the personality of the business owner and many more.
using wood generates far less waste than traditional material in eyeware; e.g. plastics take a chemical process and and sort of metal takes extensive mining that promotes a huge amounts of waste
These sharks are as authentic to venture capital as President Trump was to steaks. Entrepreneurs, don’t be fooled to believe that these vignettes are in any way similar to a real meeting with venture capital investors.
Bullet Ball was on the US version, I remember seeing the episode and feeling so bad for the guy, because it was clearly his life's work and they basically laughed him out of the room. Now it has a huge international following.
I'm glad these people ultimately found success. When you think you are let down, it just may be a blessing in disguise that opens the door to something better coming your way. Even though no offer, these people got the exposure they needed and it helped.
I feel like a lot of business comes in after you go on shark tank just because people want your product and people want to sponsor you. I wonder how much you have to pay to get on the show and see them shoot your ideas down lol
Man it makes me so happy to see these people absolutely own these investors. Especially Kevin O'Leary. How it would please me to have him tell me I'm not going to be successful, to turn down his offer, to then come back and then decline his next offer, to only succeed beyond my own wildest dreams. I would be tweeting him everyday saying "L".
I'm so glad the guy with the notebook made it through because I remember watching this episode and not understanding why they didn't like it when it was an amazing product, specially for writers who rather doing things on paper.
indiciaobscure So it's like those fancy parties rich people hold so they and their kids could mingle with other rich families in the hopes that their kids would find a "suitable spouse from a good family" (aka. acquire more wealth), only this time you can check potential candidates while on your couch and can ask mutual friends for more info. That aside, there are many couples who met due to a mutual friend, so the app does make sense even without the elitist angle. I've seen it several times, X person asks C friend "hey, your friend is cute. May I know more about him/her"

I have a rocket book and honestly hated it. The instructions are extremely vague, and unless you have a huge microwave then the book does not work. It doesn't give you a set time to cook it, and you have to take it out and check every 30 seconds. Mine took 3 minutes on each side to erase FYI it ws to much of a hassle, and not being able to send the notes to multiple people was not ideal for me

The owner of “ring” went up becoming a billionaire. And will be a shark on the next season of shark tank. Crazy
And yet, this list only ranked Ring at #3, below a shrimp burger and checking coats. Ridiculous.
Amazon really did bought ring with $1B was that really true?

That could be a possibility. The rejected entrepreneurs becoming richer than the sharks themselves and then they too will reject others and others will become richer. You see, it's a cycle.

Did shark tank program has tech guy as a judge?

How is chopping down more trees to make sunglasses eco friendly?
Im not disagreeing with you but i think they meant its eco friendly in the sense of reducing Toxic waste or pollution like plastic in sunglasses
Wood decomposes in a landfill better than plastic. Also the United States plants a very large number of trees each year.
Dina McNeal so plastic is more preferable? Pretty big overlook
using wood generates far less waste than traditional material in eyeware; e.g. plastics take a chemical process and and sort of metal takes extensive mining that promotes a huge amounts of waste
Trees are a renewable resource, how is it not eco friendly?
