@@lisbethqk8923 gordon had his place in our minds as an orange, skinny, stressed out family guy. Seeing a black gordon is like seeing a blond superman, it doesn't gives the same vibe. It has nothing to do with the color of his skin, it is about the shape that comes to mind when someone mentioned the name police gordon.
@@silenus3381 Normally I would be irritated by this but Jefferey Wright is the only person I’d possibly allow. Iconic Characters of comic books always get reimagined but as long as the vibe is still there it’s good. Changing the main character Batman to be Black would be on so many levels wrong tho. Miles Morales a black spiderman works because there’s a multiverse and he brings his own culture and personality to it while Peter Parker is still how own thing. There’s this message in Hollywood that there isn’t enough women and black people in art and action films which is absolutely false and that to fight racism we must desensitize and undermine white men. Changing originality for a false message to send a message that you’re not racist and by trying to do a service to women and black people through sometimes subtle political messaging usually ruins art and does a disservice to those groups. Like killing off James Bond and making 007 a black female destroyed a good movie and does a disservice to Ian Flemming. I’m now more focused on Hollywood’s woke take instead of the story. Make her own spin-off story as 006. Have some originality. But with How dope the trailers are and the vibe of Gordon and Catwoman I am digging it and feels more of a natural change than forced without any hidden political message and more about story in the trailers and seems like something a good Comic book would do in the early 2000s where race relationships was at a all time high and there was hardly any political message to be seen in Hollywood. Then Obama hit office and now everything is racist and must erase strong fatherly like white men from culture slowly but surely.
