"the company that you spend with your friends doesn't bring you peace as money does" - I had to read this twice. You meant to say that money, not friends, bring you peace? Reminds me of a long in a song: "the friends come and go but that money was for real".

The book that intrigued me the most is "structures: or why thing don't fall apart". I have always been intrigued by buildings, cars, bridges, boats, and the people who design and build them. And it is interesting on how a sky scraper could stand so strong knowing that it is only held up by steel beams, some concrete, and glass windows, and how it could stay standing even when it is filled with thousands, or even hundreds of thousands of people in it and not collapse under it own weight, and the same with bridges.

Einstein was amazing! He didn’t really care about fame. I loved his thoughts! One of the most interesting things Is that the highest achievements start in peoples 20’s. I bought my niece the book on Einstein. She’s 15 but would probably test out of a bachelors degree. With that being said, with some of Einstein’s discoveries, her mind was blown! I bought that book many years ago and also thought it’s was amazing. Einstein would have been fun to hang out with! I also hope Elon some day takes a few minutes to contact me. I’m a no one but that’s by choice. I started talking about space travel at about 7 years old and never fit in to school. Now days I can do pretty much anything I want, from health care to building race cars. I truly hope anyone who watched this video reads at least four of the books brought up. I’m a nerd that loves fast cars so picking one of the books the curator said probably wasn’t a good read is right up my alley. Most people have zero clue on how or why their engine in their car runs. If I could talk to Elon, I would have many question about EV. I think he’s right on about 80% of what he says, which is crazy impressive. Good luck everyone and stay healthy! Wear n95 masks at minimum if you’re in close quarters. The basic mask is fairly worthless even though there have been people that try to prove that wrong with coughing into Petri dishes. We’re at a point where we can’t shut the country down again so don’t be dumb and hope that our government allows a quick pass on anti viral meds that will help.

I was quite distracted with women and dating, through undergraduate school, so, perhaps, I didn't spend an adequate amount of time evaluating them, but I find Maxwell's equations of electromagnetic wave propagation to be the most complex in terms of comprehending, as to how he really arrived at those equations, more so than even Planck's quantum physics, which I studied, when I wasn't partying as hard, so I wonder how Elon chose Benjamin Franklin over Newton, Planck and Maxwell? Even Tesla and Graham Bell would seem more accomplished and far more prolific than Franklin.
The titles that tickle my palate would be: Structures; Super Intelligence: Paths, Dangers, and Strategies; Life 3.0; and Elon: Tesla, Space X, and the quest for a fantastic future.
I might flip through a few pages of " Zero to One", just to get a measure of the author.
I grew idolizing Howard Hughes, but have lately been quite disappointed in his Spruce Goose and even the spy plane, but this still merits a read, just to learn from his mistakes and his very tragic end.
Einstein would have been an interesting read if we didn't already know so much about him.

I'm realizing where Musk now got his interest in space. I too grew up reading many sci-fi books and authors: HG Wells, Frank Herbert, Douglas Adams, Arthur C Clarke, Ray Bradbury, etc. The Foundation Trilogy by Wells and Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy by Adams are fantastic (The Restaurant at the End of the Universe; Life, the Universe, and Everything; So Long and Thanks for All the Fish). Tolken's trilogy is a must read, even if you've seen the films, which are masterful, btw. I may pick up Structures and a few of those AI books. Along with reading about Franklin, I'd suggest The Founding Brothers by Joseph J Ellis (I've had my college students read it), as well as The Declaration of Independence, The US Constitution, The Federalist Papers, and Letter from Birmingham Jail by MLK. Good reading.

    MARS AND BEYOND!
Depending on the page, font, size, spacing, & language... I read somewhere between 10k-20k wpm - 1pg/3-10sec.
Considering the amount of information contained in all things the slowest forms of communication, & transference of information therein... As well; as the ability to reflect, imagine, dream, & execute that of which one has just absorbed are text, & speech.
Tapping into the Aether; that is the key to unlock the vast array of books, other works, & information that are only mere pieces of a greater whole where ideas fall like rain drops...
There are so many genres, & works within them I honestly can't say I do, or do not have a favorite.
I love aspects of them all, & furthermore have not read/seen/heard/known all works so I can not claim a favourite!

    Robots and Empire (1985)
    The Currents of Space (1952)

    Pebble in the Sky (1950)
    Prelude to Foundation (1988)
Note: Forward the Foundation (1993) was then unpublished, but would have followed Prelude.

Very interesting. I'm continuing to see where Elon's head is at. For me I was mostly into novels. Mark Twain the adventures of huckleberry Finn, agatha Christie, Jane Austen, Oliver twist, the novel, author Barbara Taylor Bradford, Jamaican poetess Louise Bennett Coverly. Later on Danielle Steele, Toni Morrison song of Solomon is a very good read by her, Mary Higgins Clarke is an excellent mystery novelist - in my opinion anyway - page turner. The power of positive thinking. I believe by Dale Carnegie still relevant today and I did start Einstein's Power of Relativity but I was busy at the time and didn't finish it so that's on my bucket list and last but certainly not least The Bible sometimes called the blueprint for daily living.

Just one correction the Alien in Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy is "Ford Prefect" not "Perfect", which if you are as old as I am you will remember as being a car. It was a name I always thought was very odd and so did Douglas Adams. It's just a little joke.
