In defense of Calibre Yacht Sales.... Every yacht brokerage has a "style", when they offer a yacht for sale. Richard Evans, has his own style as well, which matches the lifestyle of the North West quite nicely. Yes he spends more time describing the wood than other reviewers, but he is trying to convey a sense of maritime quality and craftsmanship, which is missing from many modern motor yachts. You can clearly see that he enjoys his job. Thank you Richard for showing us a little bit of heaven on earth and the Trawlers that can weather a storm or two as well.

I love watching Richard's presentation videos. It's a relaxing experience. One review describes him as the Bob Ross of marine sales. I agree!
I've even got going with a "Richard Boat Drinking Game". It's simple, really..Every time he says 'beautiful', I take a sip of wine... 😆. After 4 videos, I'm well oiled...
Seriously though, his knowledge and passion for these boats comes through and he's a consummate professional. Keep 'em coming Richard! 👍

A couple of tips since I have seen a few of his videos.
    1. less pots and pans and gaga over the wood
    2. engine room, gen size, fuel capacity, engine power and cruising speed.
    3. have your video crew go back and film the boat so they can items you talk about can edited in. i.e. beautiful roomy shower, large storage drawers. We more than often see you instead of the subject
    4. try to cut back a bit on the "Mr. Rogers" presentation. Look a presentations done on "The Boat Show"
You have a beautiful boat to show.
    Thanks

425 HP Yanmar diesel, holds 1300 gallons of fuel and has a 3800 Nautical mile range, or 4,372 miles, or 7037 kilometre. A nautical mile is based on or I should say equal to 1/60th of a degree of latitude. It is 1.151 miles and equal to one knot of speed. so 12 knots x 1.15 = 13.8 mph. I'm guessing to get 4300 miles out of it the cruising speed would be about 9 to 11 knots. It is 2450 miles from Los Angeles harbor to Hilo Harbor in Hawaii and that would take this boat cruising at 10 knots 9 to 10 days depending on wind and current and is well within its range.
Big boat for only one engine, but then they are rather expensive.

I was a professional seamen for most of my working life.
In any other reference, The "Cockpit" is the control centre.
On a ship, the section of the boat he is calling the cockpit, is either the Stern, the After deck or the Poop deck.
His "Bridge deck", being an open control centre would be called "The flying bridge"
I'm not being critical. These are just my observations as an Australian.

    • @skeetersaurus6249
      @skeetersaurus6249 5 ปีที่แล้ว

On yachts, the 'cockpit' is exactly what he called it...the cockpit. Yes, old nautical calls this the aft or quarterdeck...but not on a yacht...then again, who puts a VIP quarters in the forecastle? (pronounced 'foke sale' to you land lubbers).

I was wanting to twist the camera person about so we could actually see the items you described.I have no clue what the engine is.I'm glad it will get'up to 3400 miles'.but at what speed please?I liked what I saw,and you did describe the majority of it well.I'm guessing $250-400k?

No specifics on engines, fuel tank(s) size, water maker, A/C. In other words - all the important stuff.

Astrodiver 1 if he is selling you a boat you will own it after two days , why? Because that's when he will stop talking so you can take advantage to pay him...just look at the teak, just look 😂😂

With a 5 ft 9in draft I don’t think it could go through the Loop is that right? And can this boat go across the Atlantic? I would like to go to the Mediterranean.
