Honestly, it kinda hilarious for Jay to say he’s the GOAT, and fail on the garnish. This DOES happen for a lot of chefs though.
Reminds me of Ben in season 5 that says something like he's in his element when cooking lamb yet the next is completely raw

My deceased wife was a graduate of Barnum and Bailey Clown College (she finished her B.A. and M.Div.). Miming is a very specific genre of clowning, and it takes a lot of training to be good.

Paused at a minute. I really can't stand people who have a problem with people wanting to learn, or clarify things to do their best. If man is asking questions about garnish, why should that be a red flag. If he asked none, then 'he could have asked'. Should have know mentality if very bad.

And if you’re asking shortly before you begin, I think that’s a little late
