- Today I show you Ichiran Ramen in Brooklyn NY. Probably the PERFECT bowl of ramen! “Fresh Ramen, Made in Brooklyn” is clearly scrawled on Ichiran‘s signage at its Brooklyn location. The outpost is the Japanese chain’s first U.S. spot, which opened mid-October and received much fanfare for it’s delicious bowls of soupy goodness. With “fresh” being an important factor to what makes great ramen, Ichiran has also constructed its own noodle-making facility in the same space as the restaurant. The noodles are made strictly for the BK location, streamlining the process of serving top-notch ramen for any visitor.
If they matched the price of how much it is in Japan, it would be packed.

In Japan Ichiran ramen is about $7.
It is a joke if ramen is more than $10.
Ramen is just fast food. Too expensive ramen cannot be acceptable in Japan.

Yes, that's sorta what they are known for, but they also have a "normal" dining area as well for groups or couples

It just doesn't feel as special,In japan you start off with the vending machines. I like the No tipping,but I also like the lack of communication. If you are in Japan and don't really speak Japanese it is still pretty easy! But it is 4.90 just for a soda.Also in Japan the egg is soft boiled

The noodle is very very expensive, soup base is full of MSG, I have to order my boil egg two time to get my order, I'm not going back even half of the price

I don't think I said any negatives...maybe the cost is the worst part and the egg wasn't soft boiled, but so far it's the best bowl I've ever had

I tried it and did not like it and far too expansive the egg was not good the broth bland and the noodles not so hot and finally the chasu not good either. I live in japan and yes I know I can’t compare it but it was all around bad. But there is a place in queens that’s is incredible. Now back on the jet to japan.
