-Inah Canabarro Lucas (b. 8 June 1908), aged 116
-Elizabeth Francis (b. 25 July 1909), aged 115
-Ethel Caterham (b. 21 August 1909), aged 115
-Okagi Hayashi (b. 2 September 1909), aged 115
Rest in peace, Edie Ceccarelli.
At the time of her death, she was the oldest living person in the United States and the second oldest living person in the world.
R.I.P Pearl Berg (1 October, 1909 - 1 February, 2024) 😭😭
She was the 9th oldest person in the world.
final age 114 years and 123 days
(the news was confirmed in 110 club)
Now there are only 10 people alive born before 1910
I still can't get used to the fact that Fusa and Efrain are no longer with us and now Pearl Berg also joins them, this is really sad especially when all of them had been surviving for several months and out of nowhere a collapse occurred that comes with small waves since November and in December it started to get worse, January was much worse and February now it seems that this is not over yet, rest in peace Pearl Berg, shares a birthday with Jimmy Carter and she met half of her goal to reach February, although she only made it On February 1, she didn't make it to the 14th, which was the day she celebrated, so her goal was half-hearted.
Wow 10 people Born before 1910 live in 2024?!

R.I.P Pearl Bearg. Feels like a lot of deaths recently sadly. She wasnt my first pick but she was definitely high up with the oxygen like kane tanaka. Hopefully Masa & Charlotte can hold on until 1st April when the video they would be included on comes out.
I have a strong feeling both Masa and Charlotte will still be alive at that time. Masa gives me a Jimmy Carter/Fusa Tatsumi/Nabi Tajima survivor type of vibe, and Charlotte will no questions asked
Maria Branyas Morera will surpass Misao Okawa's age in 5 days and will be in top 11 oldest people in history, if she will surpass Delphia Welford's age too, she will enter in top 10 oldest people in history. I hope Maria will reach at least 120 in peace and prosperity❤
Edie surprisingly looked pretty good this year! I actually think she looked much healthier birthday than one year ago! I think Edie's got more time left than previously thought. She lives close to me and my sister showed up to one of her birthdays, and this time I went to the drive by parade. It was great!

@@october2024-k8p You know, in a way this is what happens when you have a collapse. There's a reason top 3 oldest living people is called the Death Zone.
I will say in order the deaths that were saddest for me this year.
1. Edie Ceccarelli
2. Efrain Antonio Rios Garcia
3. Catherine Van Der Linden
4. Pearl Berg
5. Mabel Mah
Edie's the saddest for sure
Edie 100%
Also Clarabell Demers too, she fell and died
I can't believe this, I go on LQ news and see not one, not two, but THREE of my favorite supercentenarians have died; though I new Pearl was already dying from Charles on the 110 club. May these three amazing women enjoy their rest. RIP Pearl, Mabel, and Catherina, you will all be missed
(Congratulations to Helen Doan, Marija Ruljancich, and Rose Girone for gaining their new titles)
I hope that soon we can see new photos about Maria Branyas Morera.
It's 1:25 AM in Spain, I don't think she's up partying right now so we'll have to wait a little bit

Random Fact: Kane Tanaka was the only Supercentenarian to be in top ten lists with every single song on the alltimetoptens channel (Goodbye Dixie; That One Rockabilly Song; and the one still used today, Sunny).
Can you imagine if Kane Tanaka was still alive at 121 years old and what would Kane Tanaka look like playing video games with us?
Vincent Dransfield is in insane shape for his age. He can still drive and lives in his own home
Happy Birthday to him
Happy birthday Maria Branyas on your 117th birthday
RIP Andre ludwig
(6 June 1912 - 7 January 2024 )

guys Juan Vincente Perez Mora today surpassed Goldie Streinberg of 114years and 290 days and now she is in the top 78 position of the longest-lived people in history

He will have milestones every couple days so posting it here is just trolling
@@CatLord258 it's not trolling but informing precisely, and even if they are not the most important goals, they are still excellent for a man, it hasn't happened for over 10 years. Happy Birthday Maria Branyas Morera🎂🎂🎉🎉🥳🥳
Today Lucile Randon would have been 120 years old. Rest in peace, Lucile.
I believe that there will never be a person able of becoming a bicentenarian, I believe that the true limit of human longevity, including all medical advances and medicine possible to extend human life, would extend up to 155, 160 or maybe 170 years for the most extreme cases, no more than that.
I definitely believe that living 200 years for a human is IMPOSSIBLE.
The LIMIT IS 147 YEARS, no more than that
@@october2024-k8p there is no "limit" for age, it doesn't make sense for one age to be the absolute limit. It's like saying "what's the biggest number you can think of" and you'll still be able to add 1 to it
@Maria_Branyas117 Officially? What "official" organisation has stated that 126 is a limit for human longevity, especially taking into account potential future medical advances?
there is no limit

This comment section is not the only thing being overrun by trolls. In fact, a troll on Gerontology Wiki has repeatedly offended one user telling them to "get out" over and over again, and vandalizing the page of his recently deceased 106-year-old great-grandmother. These attacks on the supercentenarian fan community have to stop
Absolutely
I wonder where all these trolls are coming from, they probably know each other (or in some cases potentially the same person). I would love for someone to launch an investigation into these trolls but I don't know how or even if I can.
@@lennoxt.anderson8966 I know some trolls seem to be coming from the Deathlist forum, an uncensored forum where people predict the deaths of people for betting purposes. It is also a breeding ground for misinformation along with ignorant and disrespectful comments to various SCs like Jeanne Calment, Kane Tanaka, Fusa Tatsumi, etc.
As for the Gerontology Wiki troll, based on the writing style, i am pretty sure that it is a sockpuppet account of a troll that was blocked back in December, because they targeted the same user before and had inserted the same kind of nonsense in various articles. It's bizarre to say the least.

Maria Branyas Morera turns 117 on March 4😊
She is now within three years of Lucile's final age too
@@CatLord258That really shows how much the age bubbles collapsed starting in late 2021 and ending with the death of Lucile Randon in early 2023. In the months before Tanaka died, 1905 went extinct, and 1906 ended up in the same place as 1903 and 1904 with only one living person left, and Tanaka (as well as Randon) stood out incredibly compared to the others that apart from the dying Juniewicz, were all born at least 3 years later. Once Tanaka and Juniewicz died, both 1903 and 1906 were gone, leaving Randon as the last 1904 and then the next person, Maria Branyas, wasn't born until 1907. So Randon stood out even more than she and Tanaka did back then. Randon and Tanaka lived a few years longer than the oldest people in the world before them in this century, and her death in 2023 marked the final death in the age bubble collapse of those born in 1903-1906. 2021 all the way through January 2023 were sad for Supercentenarian death, but it's great that nice women that are the favorite supercentenarians of many (Tanaka and Randon) could defy so many records and for years be the two people who stood there in the top two. But this will happen someday again, and there are, believe it or not, many people who in the future could probably match this description. Maria Branyas, despite the worrying twitter posts, has before then been very healthy, and is about to turn 117 and is already the last woman from 1907, let's hope she lives many more years. Or maybe Inah, who, reminiscent of Randon, is a nun and has very strong faith which can help you live longer too. She is also remarkably healthy, and despite using a wheelchair most of the time, she has a very, very sharp mind and does not suffer from any illness and is believed to be the healthiest person on the list, and we are sure she will be the last woman from 1908. I think Inah will live quite a few more years. For 1909, I have two people. First will be Okagi Hayashi, the dark horse Supercentenarian who has never really had many health problems and could live a few more years too. And finally, Charlotte Kretschmann, who very likely has years left and is incredibly healthy for her age, and will very likely be the final person from 1909, and be like Emma Morano the last person from the 1900s as a whole. Although we still miss Kane and Lucile so much, we will luckily see more people like them soon.
@@lennoxt.anderson8966 where did you hear Hayashi uses a walker?
@@CatLord258a few years ago, Hayashi was seen using one still around COVID-era. However, she likely doesn't anymore, so I will edit that out for recency. Thanks for pointing that out.

I vaguely remember seeing articles about both Jones and Morano while they were alive, and I used to have multiple GWR books, I remember having the 2018 edition with Violet Brown, her son, and Israel Kristal - none of whom actually made it to 2018 but the data was collected in early 2017. I also remember seeing something about Lucile Randon that would have been shortly after Tanaka died, and I first found these videos at the beginning of 2023 which is when I "got into" this whole supercentenarian thing, Lucile literally died days later
Emma Morano and Violet Brown, they were the first oldest person for me. And i was so sad when her son Harland Fairweather died at 97 when she was 117, five months later after him, Violet passed away too and i think she died of heartbreak and sadness for her son.

Happy 117th Birthday María Branyas Morera.
It has been 4 long years since Covid was declared a worldwide pandemic. At this time a promising young woman by the name of Maria Branyas Morera, the newly crowned doyenne of Spain, who had celebrated 113th her birthday a week before the WHO declared the pandemic, notably become the eldest Covid survivor (she would later be beaten by Lucile Randon). Four years later, we have lost a similarly promising supercentenarian in Chile who had just turned 113. And this happened one day after the 117th birthday of our amazing Maria, now the oldest person in the world

Yes, very true. But the one guy who was doing all the work for the GRG just quit
Ina Okazaka and Silveria could suffer the same fate that Seki Yoshida and Efrain suffered, of dying without first being validated, all of this because GRG is more concerned with validating cases of supercentenarians who have already died a long time ago instead of alive.

9. Herlda Senhouse (113) 🇺🇸
10. Marita Camacho Quiros (113) 🇨🇷
Let's hope there's more people left than that at the end of the year.
I have a strong feeling that Inah Canabarro Lucas will still be alive in 2025, and the exact same goes for Okagi Hayashi. Juan Vicente Perez Mora could, as there have been no reports of rapid decline, men have a shorter lifespan (and have fared poorly in the previous month), it could still potentially happen and he's one of the more likely supercentenarians in the top eight. I would have said Maria Branyas too, but those new posts on the 110club are deeply concerning. As for the other four (Ceccarelli, Itooka, Francis, Caterham), the chances of them making it to 2025 are quite unlikely. I have a feeling that despite Masa Matsumoto's poor condition, she gives off a Fusa Tatsumi/Jimmy Carter/Nabi Tajima survivor type of vibe, I could be totally wrong about that, but her chances of reaching 2025 are possible if that is the case. As for Kretschmann, I agree that she will make it to 2025 pretty easily.
My predictions are sometimes right and sometimes wrong. I have been wrong about my Mabel Mah prediction (though I timed my second guess right just a week ago when I realized that her family doesn’t release any information, and that she could be declining fast; just a week later she died). However, so far, my guesses on the order that the top ten from this video will perish has been fully correct (I guessed Matsubara first, then Berg). I can't see the future, however based on the current state of these supercentenarians, these are my predictions.
Remember last year we entered 2023 then two weeks later Lucile Randon would pass away, Maria Branyas could most definitely be the world’s oldest living person for one year
The oldest validated supercentenarian of that birth cohort is also the last starting with 1899, 1898 was the last time where the oldest validated supercentenarian was not the same as the last validated supercentenarian
1898
Oldest: Misao Okawa ((5 March 1898 - 1 April 2015) 117 years, 27 days)
Last: Gertrude Weaver ((4 July 1898 - 6 April 2015) 116 years, 276 days))
1899: Oldest and Last (Emma Morano)
1900: Oldest and Last (Nabi Tajima) (Violet Brown (undisputed))
1901: Oldest and Last (Chiyo Miyako)
1902: Oldest and Last (Giuseppina Projetto)
1903: Oldest and Last (Kane Tanaka)
1904: Oldest and Last (Lucile Randon)
1905: Oldest and Last (Antonia da Santa Cruz)
1906: Oldest and Last (Tekla Juniewicz)
1907: Oldest and Last (Maria Branyas Morera)
I'm quite sure Maria Branyas is going to survive January and at least make it to her 117th birthday.
Maria Branyas is the last chance of surpassing Jeanne Calment in this decade, I feel like for someone to come close to surpassing Jeanne Calment validations would need to start occurring at older ages at least 115/116 instead of 110/111

@@october2024-k8p her town has already been advertising her upcoming birthday parade. I think if she was ill and they thought there was a good chance she wouldn't make, they wouldn't hav already planned it. I hope she makes it to her birthday
@@CatLord258I would love to travel to her city/country to greet her on her birthday, I would like to meet a supercentenarian and Ceccarelli is one of my favorites.
My dream was to meet Edie Ceccarelli, Juan Vicente Perez Mora, Efrain Rios, Inah Canabarro Lucas, Lucile Randon, Kane Tanaka, Maria Branyas and Tomiko Itooka, and tell them how much I appreciate them although unfortunately 3 of them are no longer with us.
@@october2024-k8pI hope that doesn't happen
Good 😌 😊 👍 Point Actually
If Edie Ceccarelli Was At A Point
Where She Was Likely To
Pass Away Within The Next Week
Then Why Would Her Town of Willits
Be Advertising
Her 116th Birthday 🎈 🎂 🎁 Parade

Technically He Would’ve Only Turned
28 Years old Tomorrow
@@emmabrewin2351He would have turned 112, as 112 years would have elapsed since his birth, but it would only be his 28th birthday, as three quarters of those years didn’t contain his birthday. People born on leap years are the only people who don’t have a birthday for every year they live.

That is True
He Still Would Have Lived
For 112 Years
As 112 Years Would Have Passed
Since His Birth
But As His Birthday 🎈 🎂 🎁
Wouldn’t Have Been
On The Calendar 🗓️ 📆 📅
For 3/4 of His Life
He Would Have Only
Celebrated 28 Birthdays 🎉 🎈 🎂
So Whilst He Would’ve
Been Around For 112 Years
He Would Still Only Be 28 Years old
As He Would’ve Only
Celebrated His Birthday 🎈 🎂 🎁
28 Times ✖️ During His Lifetime
It Has To Do With The Fact That
Every 1/4 of A Day
Gets Added On To
Every Year In Between
2 Separate Leap Years
That’s What Causes
Leap Years The Only Years
That Have 366 Days
It Mostly Takes 365 Days (A Year)

I'm looking forward to the new video that will come out on April, who do you think will be the supercentenarian of the miniature of the video? maybe this time it will be Tomiko Itooka turn? or Charlotte? 🤔
Either Tomiko or Ethel.
I think it will be Maria again for her 117th birthday
It is mostly someone in the top 5
@@gamingdemon7185
In That Case It’ll Either Be
María Brañas Morera
Tomiko Itooka
Inah Canabarro Lucas
Juan Vincente Pérez Mora
Or
Elizabeth Francis
@@emmabrewin2351I have a feeling it'll be Lucile Randon
@ichigokurosaki Those Jeanne Calment conspiracy theories have been fully disproven way back in 2022. I always defended Jeanne Calment, and those theories were very poorly made anyways.
Also, please stop cyber-bullying. You probably couldn't care less but maybe touch some grass for once.
Edit: Laugty82 has been comment blocked on this channel and ichigokurosaki is both comment blocked on this channel and is going through a referral to be banned off of TH-cam entirely for good reason.
Good 😌 😊 👍
I Hated Ichigokurosaki
He Was
A Selfish Internet 🛜 Troll 😈 👿 🧌
Who Didn’t Care About

Pearl was a lovely lady and will be missed. RIP
new photos of Inah Canabarro Lucas, she was visited by LongeviQuest a few days ago, she looks better than ever, I am completely sure that she will be WOP in some not so distant future.
I hope they release a video of the interview on their channel (they've done so for all the visits in the last two months, 3 Japanese SCs, one Japanese centenarian barber, and the oldest Chilean). This will be the the oldest person they've interviewed then by over two and a half years
@@CatLord258Maybe LongeviQuest has more videos of others visits they have made in previous years that have not yet been published
Where can I find it?
