My grandparents were from Sweden I’m so glad they saved this animal because it is my grandmothers favorite she absolutely loves them she grew up watching them personally I think they are beautiful and majestic.god bless these people for bringing them back

The arctic fox (Alopex lagopus) is a small dog found in the North Pole, its closest living relative is the corsac fox (Alopex corsac) of the Himalayas, both species are classified within the genus Alopex, which also consists of the swift fox (Alopex velox) and the kit fox (Alopex macrotis), members of the Alopex genus are basically known as white foxes, mainly due to their fur color usually being in a brighter color, although, the arctic fox itself is only white during winter, while they are blackish-brown in summer, the Alopex genus also includes fossil species like the well known †Qiu Zhuding's Fox (Alopex qiuzhudingi), which is the ancestor of the corsac fox and arctic fox that lived in Asia and †Narrow-Jawed Fox (Alopex stenognathus), which is the ancestor of the swift fox and kit fox that lived in North America, in addition to the poorly known †Alopex praecorsac, which is likely a basal member of the Alopex genus, the Alopex genus is most closely related to clade consisting of the genera Fennecus (Dwarf Foxes/Elf Foxes), Otocyon (Bat-Eared Fox Lineage), and Nyctereutes (Raccoon Dogs).
