It's incredible that after 12,000 years of betrayal, Yasha can make the right choice and stand by his brother. He does not ask for forgiveness, only for the opportunity to do what is right.
This is absolutely addictive. Honestly I'm not sure who's actually cooler, Yasha or Asura(though it's clear who's more powerful) This song that's has Japanese instruments but sounds like a Wild West lone gunslinger song with a metal twist to it is just.... it's just glorious.
If I had to guess, it probably had something to do with the game being mostly cutscenes, on-rail shooting sections and impossible to fail QTE's. The small amount of combat that was left wasn't much to be praised until about half way or so into the game, where you need to actually give a damn about what buttons to press, and when you actually experiment with the combat, it's pretty damn good (camera movement and lock on can be messy and flying enemies can go suck a fat one tho). All this along with CAPCOM's scummy DLC practices at the time might have had an effect on the public perception of the game. But I must say, after playing it for the first time, hard difficulty on the emulator with decent FPS and resolution, I'm kind of in love with it, sure the story is just ok at times and I got frustrated in more than a few segments but after that Augus fight and hilarious bath scene, I was like "ok this game is FUCKING AWESOME" and was fully on board for the rest of the way (man, those final fights are really good). Here's my interpretation of Yasha's theme, which I believe highlights three aspects of his character. Orphan Wolf Legend - Wind represents Yasha as an individual. His Mantra Affinity is Melancholy, something that this tune strongly evokes. Slow, somber, and poignant, it perfectly encapsulates Yasha's sorrow as he distances himself from those he cares about for the sake of "The Cause". Orphan Wolf Legend - Fang represents Yasha as a fighter. The fast pace of the track combined with a sped-up version of his leitmotif showcases his lightning-quick moves and immense power in the heat of battle. Orphan Wolf Legends - Bonds represents Yasha as a Deity. In the eyes of the common man, he is a divine being who guides and protects them, and so offers this song of praises and prayers, unaware of the underlying loneliness that he feels as an individual.
@@bcgazero6472 Leave it to you to focus on that part. Yasha is alone once more, his bond with Asura lost in the legend he helped create.
