Just play it on RPCS3 emulator. You can play at 4K. Ofc textures stays same quality. But even a remaster would probably not have new textures, and the game did not sell really good so won't happen anyway.
this game has too many ideas and characters that were for much more, an anime would certainly be interesting, I would like to see more of asura's family or the girl who looks like his daughter, so his losses would be more than just an excuse to see the protagonist fight

Though I'll admit it really helps to be controlling the moments of universe-breaking badassery when you need to worry about getting the community on Asura's team. I think the story holds its own sufficiently enough to not *need* that assist, our protagonist is aptly framed as a (raging and extremely destructive) force of good in the world. Truly a rare case of a well portrayed destroyer-type god that still places on the broadly morally good side of the spectrum despite their seemingly evil and certainly terrifying nature.

It also involves Space Time bs and cosmology, even the notes tells a lot about the Yggdrasil holding parts of the Norse world which is a universe (Greece and Norway are IMPLIED many times through notes and dialogues that they are different universes.) and their branches affects the space time continuum. Kratos also bested Atlas who in lore managed to scale up the earth (but if you dont want to believe that was a universe) he still upscales from the underworld which is a universe of its own.

No one’s throwing shade to Doomslayer…but he just doesn’t compare to a literal busted mythologically inspired being. Please just watch a full gameplay of Asura’s Wrath. The title is not just a title, the game is literally wrapped around the whole thing with a meaning. Asura literally could not be ended until his wrath went out, which only happened by his own will. This wrath thing he had was more immense than you think. Everytime he was “killed” he would stop between Heaven and hell and climb the towers of it for 500 years just to kill his enemies, which he did EVERY TIME HE CAME BACK. I mean the guy basically vaporized a deity who was 3x the size of earth, close to destroying it with just a finger just to kill Asura. Also the last fight in the story, no one really pays attention to what’s going on but it’s proven he’s moving billions times light speed while in space, his reaction time at the same speed when dodging and blasting through planets being thrown at him. Every kill he has was just a punch, didn’t matter who you were. Also, he has a life form manipulation, which can potentially effect Doomslayer since he’s a living thing, and might be why he’s able to punch people out of existence. There’s just too many fears Asura has that Doomslayer can’t compare to. Asura also killed his verse Creator and got titled Destroyer. Doomslayer gets washed man.
