In this project tutorial, we're showing you how to make a card with a Cricut from start to finish! This is a great Cricut beginner project if you're new to the Cricut crafting world.

Great video! I just used this envelope template to make a super-cute (in my opinion) Halloween/birthday card. I was able to use the double-sided Cricut Deluxe Paper Foil Embossed (Kraft Seasonal). I used the design that had spiders on one side (which I also used on my card front). The outside of the envelope was the Kraft paper side so it was easy to address. It was the first time I didn't want to let a card go. LOL

Finally! A video that shows me how to make a card, envelope and liner - step by step! Impossible to find on TH-cam for some reason. And you have the Air! No one mentions which machine they have. I want a Cricut, but don't know which I should get, Air or Maker. I love making cards but would like to expand to gifts, like the cool ones you see in frames, custom letters, etc. Halp!
💕 thank you so much for your kind words!! Deciding between the Air and Maker is a big decision, but you can't go wrong either way! If you're mostly going to be making paper projects like this one, you could definitely just do the Air. But if you're wanting to potentially expand into additional materials and use additional tools, then we'd recommend the Maker! Not to confuse you, but we did use the Maker for this project- however you CAN use the Air and follow the same exact steps/same tools too! @@Craft-e-Corner Doh! I think I meant to say Maker. Anyhoo...I'm still torn. I'll keep researching. I liked the idea of making wood bookmarks, leather bookmarks and wood ornaments.

There seems to be an issue with getting this project to open in Design Space currently. This is the direct link to the project {design.cricut.com/landing/project-detail/5e382b6171d46b06c7b50773}- it seems to be working for some users and not for others. We have been able to pull up the project successfully on a Mac computer and iPhone. We're so sorry for any inconvenience. We want you to get crafting and wish the link would just work for everyone, but unfortunately there isn't anything else we can do at this point! Just keep trying the link or maybe try on a different device.
Here are the search tags you can use for this project. Simply copy and paste these tags in the "Images" category and these designs will pop up:
- Envelope: #M4131B
- Scallop Card: #M3E10A
- Square (adjust to size for the scallop card): #M369896
To create the insert, you will need to use the slice tool over the envelope.
Hopefully Cricut fixes the issue soon!

Very nice video. Thanks. So easy - except the scorer tool will not work in my Maker. It did work the first several times now suddenly after a year and after getting the score wheel the scorer pen just pops out. That’s it, seated and clicked into place, fully loaded it pops out when the Cricut goes to use it. With enough force it lands on the mat. So I just use it on my Air 2. It would be so much easier to be able to use it with the Maker instead of removing - then replacing the blade each time.
Oh no. That would be frustrating. You may want to try calling support for some assistance, if you haven't already.

I have followed other tutorials for cards, got my scoring stylus but my explore air2 doesnt score... any idea why? Thx so much
Do you have your scoring stylus inserted all the way into the "A" slot? You'll need to hear a click!
Craft-e-Corner.com I got it finally but I don’t like the scoring: too light! Maybe I need to set it differently. I tried light card stock and card stock but the scoring line is too light. Thx so much for responding!
When I open and close my envelope the paper becomes unstuck. Any tips on keeping this from happening? Thank you. Love these.
Our recommendation would be to try to use a different type of glue or double sided tape. We've noticed when our glue gets dol it doesn't stick as well.

Can you make a box on cricut to fit these?
We have not made one but you definitely could!
Do I need to get a special type of glue when I make projects with the cricut materials or would a regular glue stick work? I was just recently gifted one for my birthday that is coming soon. And I am trying to do research before I unbox it ^_^

They are Cricut Craft Board sheets. They are from Craft-e-Corner. Currently it looks like we only have it in black but you could check your local craft store.

The stylus does not work with the cricut explorer air. The company has not been able to fix it. I put a penny or two on the stylus and that helps.
Are you using the Cricut stylus? It should work, I've used it on my Air before!

How did you do the cards in design space. All you do is show us how to print and cut and stuff. I need to know how to do dimisions and scoring, or did you use a template?
This was a premade project we came across in Design Space so everything was already set-up (scoring, dimensions). There is a link to the project in the description of the video! Also, in the beginning of the video, I do show you the cards in Design Space and explain that they are 5x7" cards. Hope that helps!

what different paper can you use for the envelopes?
There are all sorts of different stuff you could try to use to make envelopes! cardstock, vellum, etc.
