Hello all! Here's a dark little thriller for you. Sorry about the weird audio glitch at 16:09ish. Not sure how that came about. Hope it doesn't spoil your enjoyment 😊
Jasper - I assumed that L A G strong was a pseudonym for G L’Strange am I mistaken ? I didn’t trust the narrator from the start, so him being already deluded was likely in my mind. Is there even a Vera we wonder ? Who keeps a knife in tissue paper in a draw ? So if this wasn’t written by yourself - there must be a L A G strong around ?
You know that a story is great when you’re caught in the anxiety and tension of the narrator, feeling everything as if you were experiencing it! BRAVO, Mr L’Estrange!👏👏👏🤗
Best of luck in the new position, may you be blessed with excellent remuneration. Always appreciate the work and true effort you put into these excellent narration s.
Whoa, so many to catch up on! Fantastically eerie story. Don't think I've ever mentioned how much I love the sound design in your content buddy. It builds atmosphere beautifully.
Oh boy Jasper! That was intense! You are an artist at giving stories such a sinister air. Your voice, your timing in the use of music and effects ( audio and visual….i was actually watching the screen for once…nice touch!) are masterful! It’s so good to hear your voice! Thanks you Jasper!🐙 By the way… I hope the dust is starting to settle and you’ve found yourself in a much better place after your latest shift in gears…..if not better in the pockets, I hope at least better for the spirit!
That was graphic, have you ever had one of those dreams about hiding a body in your house or garden and when you wake up for a minute you can't figure out if it was real or not, and you have a weird feeling for hours? It reminded me of that.
@@EnCryptedHorror It's a common one, honest, it's not just me 😂 My grandmother in hospital was convinced all the nursing staff were Coronation Street actors doing some kind of job swap show, she was mortified afterwards 😆
Your comment about dreams reminded me very much of L.A. Lewis's "The Meerschaum Pipe" - an excellent rendition of which can be found on this very channel!
A truly disturbing production! You created a Lynchesque atmosphere and brought the true terror out of this one. Gave me goosebumps! Just when the first point of horror tightens it's thread the author gives another turn of the screw. Thanks Jasper. Really unnerving.
Really enjoyed that one, a true Encrypted surprise of the best kind. Reminded me of Ray Bradbury’s “The fruit at the bottom of the bowl” but much darker and much more sinister”
Wowzers. This works so well! Sheer, suffocating anxiety from start to finish. Didn't L A Strong write the amazing story you also narrated about the keep? That is one of my absolute favourites. 10/10. (No problem with any glitch, Jasper) ❤
To be fair, it's a bit wild west on the internet. As far as I can tell, Shirley Jackson's work is all copyrighted and nearly all still in print, but I've noticed lots of people cover her stories....so...🤷♂️
Too true. I don't trust you for instance. Or me. I can never know what I'll say next. Sometimes it seems perfectly normal except other people are looking at me strangely. Doesn't matter. I don't think, does it?🙄 @@Story-Voracious66

@@ClassicGhost Good 🤭
@@toadyuk8391 There certainly was an L A G Strong. I think he was boss of Methuen (the publisher) at one point.
Jasper so good to hear your work
Fabulous As always. This one was riveting. thanks Jasper
Oh goodness me, the more I listen to you, the more impressed I am by your narration skills. Thankyou. A totally gripping story.
Thank you 👍

BRAVO, Mr L’Estrange!👏👏👏🤗
Gruesome! I LOVE it 💜
A Jasper L'Estrange story. An excellent excuse not to go to work.
I wonder if old Morris even has a paramour.
A very intense story of a tailspin into madness. Scarey. Thank you.
All round pure class.
I thoroughly enjoyed this. Thanks

Well done as usual 👏 thank you!!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Luv your wyrd sound effects *Jasper* ... as usual👍
Nicely done. Thank you, much appreciated 😊
I nearly had a breakdown listening to it. Very vivid writing and perfectly narrated. Things could be a little awkward when he bumps into Vera again!
Hmmm. Is there a Vera after all?
@@rameyzamora1018I hope so, or he’s really got problems!
well-dpme!

This is savage, great work!
Great story and narration! I think the glitch fit in well with the story.
This is fantastic.
Your narration is awesome. Keep it up!
Fantastic!
I loved this. Thank you very much, Sir. 😊

Hooray 🎉. A new thriller 😀 x
Not new. I did read it as a child.

I haven't had that dream 😬. But I do remember my dad, dosed up on morphine, waking up crying, convinced he'd killed someone...

This is one of the first horror stories I read, back in the 70's. never forgot it. Made a big impression.
Thank you so much, Jasper. This was worth waiting for and so well done, as always.
Golly, that was a most enjoyable production.! Not just a thrilling, suspenseful story, but a most effective dramatization. Thank you very much.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Oooooo, I've never heard of this little gem before. Bravo Jasper, atmospheric narrating as always with a twist of psycho added. Marvellous.
Superb - as always from Jasper. Loved this one.
Excellent...thank you, Jasper!
Eerie and scary! Thanks.
Oh, your lovely, lovely voice......I'm doing everything I can, to not listen till tonight 😊

HEY kislux I have been watching you for years and im so proud of where you have made it! I love you so much! Also thanks for making my day
I was only thinking of you yesterday, wondering when you were going to do another story...and here you are! 💛

Absolutely brilliant.

"The Keep" was L.A. Lewis. Gets confusing after a time. I get all the Marjorie/Margery/Marys and Elinor/Eleanors mixed up 😁

Ha. I was doing practically hundreds of searches for Frank Kafka last week.. but don't tell anyone...
This was a hard one to research, results kept breaking down how to write a short story
Did you happen to find anything? The only thing I learned was that it was a favourite story of Boris Karloff.
@@EnCryptedHorror I might have to listen to some of Boris Karloff's Thriller episodes 😜
Dear JLS. Is there a chance you could do The Possibility of Evil by Shirley Jackson? I don’t understand copyright rules of course xx
