It would’ve been cool if there was a possibility to lose your investment. Then you could persuade or intimidate them to return your coin or they could give you a radiant fetch quest for an item for them to sell to recover losses.
What would be great is if you could actually get a return on your investment. Unfortunately this perk doesn't do what it suggests. All that does is adds more pocket change for the store owner to have on hand next time you sell a bunch of crap to them.
what is more important is that Skyrim is 10 years old and people are still discovering stuff for each time they replay it, probably one of the top 10 games of the decade, Red dead redemption 2 is up there in my book too

Yeah they didn't make this mechanic very well in my opinion. I had to supplement through mods that actually made Investments worthwhile. I'm talking about purchasing houses and shops Farms mines and depending on how much you want back on your investment you could set the rent from low to high, and depending on which one you choose makes the NPC treat you differently, if the price is too high they actually might attack you if the price is too low they will treat you very well but you'll get less in your return, however it's still passive income. So is still much more worth then this stupid perk in vanilla Skyrim.
Huh, in fallout 3, in a specific location you can invest in a caravan (or multiple), the caravans have their "trope/main stock" from weapons, apparals, meds, and junk (trust me the junk part is far more useful than you think.) I never understood how investing works in-game, but i always felt nice to help them
I never knew Frida was so nice! Brb crying over a Skyrim npc
Wow, look at all those people I've never talked to, and all those shops I've never been in, despite my several thousand hours ingame
All that does is adds more pocket change for the store owner to have on hand next time you sell a bunch of crap to them.
what is more important is that Skyrim is 10 years old and people are still discovering stuff for each time they replay it, probably one of the top 10 games of the decade, Red dead redemption 2 is up there in my book too
Everyone: thank you, it is very nice to work with you
Nerelion: ooooo, money
frida is sniffing her concoctione too much. cant convince me otherwise
So the White Phial has potions that grants Instant Transmission?

I'm so glad you had Alvor. Every playthrough I have, the maniac gets himself killed by a dragon. He dies sooner and sooner and I'm convinced my next playthrough, he'll already be dead.
never knew you could do this because i didn't really level up speech on any of my playthroughs, might do it in the future...
Nurelion giving me 5 gold after going through that entire dungeon to get him an empty bottle made me join the dark brotherhood.
It's cool that there's so much unique dialogue for a mechanic nobody uses
am I the only one who didn't know you could do this? still amazes me a 10+ year game still has things to discover
1:21 Loving how Pete made his transition from Goofy’s rich assh*ole neighbor to Skyrim merchant.
1:28 who is the voice actor? I’ve heard him in different games, but never knew his name.
That's the V.A. for characters like Tigger from the winnie the pooh films, I forget his name but I know that's him
I mis-read the title as “merchants react to players INVENTORY” and I thought that actually sounded hilarious - you’re talking to people about buying stuff and they’re like “DUDE YOU HAVE 40 MILLION soul dust? WTF is this?”
I just read "Dude you have 40 MILLION souls?"
How did you get so many ebony swords!!!
“WHY IS THERE TWO DAWNBREAKERS”
@@GregoryMom and 3 staffs of magnus
Ive never knew about this whole investment thing...
I mean who levels up speech?
I like how they say:"ah thanks the extra money will be of help" probably after selling me some enchanted gear for 2000 septims
"I'd even buy one of your relatives!"
Me, an Argonian: ...
"You look rather pale. Could be ataxia."
Me, a vampire: ...
He can if he wants
I've played for almost 600 hours and I now just realise you can do this
this person just helped skyrims economy, careful now they are a hero 🙏
One day I hope to see us be able to make town's/ cities in skyrim.
The lunar forge has so much potential
1000+ hours in game, I never knew there was an Invest options
!?!?!?!??!?!
Everyone we invest in Skyrim: uses money to expand their business
Belethor: **buys something illegal*
"I'll call upon my suppliers this very evening"
*Blows mammoth horn* 🦣
0:53 Why did this feel sarcastic? 😂
1:32 Never fails to be amusing, this one, lolz
2:48 Sounds like something a member of the *_Thieves' Guild_* would say...
This is only a few of the merchants one can invest in; doesn't include Tonilia of the Thieves' Guild or any of the DLC.
Its amazing how this game is still relevant after a decade of its release
"Because the only games that can be relevant decades in are Mario & Sonic, or something DnD related. Damn the game that has 100K+ in counting mods from thousands of authors in counting itching to make it better and better, with countless submitted screenshots & artwork let alone the lore to back it all." Right, lol.
Yea… pretty easy when it’s so modable… will be released 4 different times when November comes around… and was in an era when internet gaming was getting more popular and millennials were getting out of high school and becoming adults (the generation with the most “gamers” in it).
I need to play Skyrim again, my nostalgia calls for it
Beirand is an honorable fella, a true family man.
Nice vid again man.Keep it up 👍
2:17 "how could I say no to that"
ah so thats where they got the voice line
Let me guess you use mods
I thought this was going to be, like, stock traders and economists reacting to the investing mechanic in Skyrim.
Not the actual NPCs.
Interesting fact invest in all the shops watch the town grow and beautify

You’d think such a great blacksmith could temper his ego
Mortar and pestile is the best palce to invest for psychological support.
Frida´s gona make me cry. She is just so nice
I swear the last time I played all they said was "oMG thank you i'll put this to good use" or something like that.
Huh, in fallout 3, in a specific location you can invest in a caravan (or multiple), the caravans have their "trope/main stock" from weapons, apparals, meds, and junk (trust me the junk part is far more useful than you think.)
However merchants in fallout 3 are the "I will buy and sell anything and everything" sort of merchants with a few exceptions.
0:13 Belethor got 2020 vision
There's a fletcher in Solitude.
dragonborn: invests in their shop while carrying ebony blade.
