Enslaved Children in the House of the Vettii, Pompeii: A Conversation

Prof Levin-Richardson introduces us to her groundbreaking research on enslaved children, and the uses and potential pitfalls of employing 'Critical Fabulation' to explore the lives of enslaved children in the Roman world. She presents the case of Eutychis, in the House of the Vettii, Pompeii. A discussion follows, with Dr April Pudsey, around our methodological approaches to both childhood and slavery studies in the Roman world.
